The US Open is the final Grand Slam of the year and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The 2021 US Open saw Russia's Daniil Medvedev and Great Britain's Emma Raducanu claim the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first major title, with 18-year-old Raducanu becoming the first-ever qualifier to achieve the feat. The 2022 US Open main draw is scheduled to go ahead between August 30 - September 11.

Novak has very easy power. People don't realise it. He doesn't unload as he conserves energy. But in this match he needed to be offensive and he was. That 16:32 forehand was very fast 🔥🔥

And also uses spin to manouvre the ball a lot. Contrary to the popular myth, Novak probably has the best groundstroke ball striking technique of all time alongside Jimmy Connors and Andre Agassi - its extremely reliable under pressure and he can change spins and direction more easily than anyone else. Unfortunately, most people would have you believe he is just a defender who pushes the ball back.

People don't realize Novaks forehand is such a weapon..His backhand although one of the best in History is kept at backburner until he really requires it..His forehand does regular 9 to 6 damage day in day out..
This match is a tribute to Novak..He played such great in US Open in patches..Unfortunately he had little left in tank on the 14th day.. Maybe if he had dispatched Nishikiri,Rune and Brooksby in 3 sets.. He would have won it all...

Medvedev and zverev easily play to novak weakness, same pushing style with a bit more power. Its always going to frustrate Djokvoic whether healthy or not. From neutral rally positions refuse to open angles and exchange power strokes near Djokovic's body until he slip. Change directions sometimes but still near Djokovic's body (non-risky shot).
