This man is absolutely insane. He has created a myth out of his career… 36 and this guy goes 4/4 slam finals winning 3 of them. All that during the “Alcaraz hype train” year… all that at 36 years of age…. I dont think another human being is more in tune with body and mind the way Djokovic is…
If Rafa wasnt injured, its gonna be neck to neck
ноле цар и бог
@almanu04 great excuse 👏👏👏👏.
@CAR NIYA DEPTHS dont get me wrong though, i still give Novak credit, but as far as being the goat. Its debatable
@almanu04 but Rafa only has himself to blame for his injury. No one was forced to get the jab!
I think it is awesome that Djokovic is bringing back serve and volley to the game again. He is truly a complete player.
Surely an adaptation to Medvedev standing 8 meters behind the line for returning :D
@Simon Anniés Obviously. But it is still nice to see a classic playstyle coming back, even if it's situational. Serve and volley has never been my favorite style, but it is a huge part of the identity and history of tennis.
@Sigurd Torvaldsson agreed
The day we all understood why Sampras was his childhood idol
@Simon Anniés And with Alcaraz he played with this tactic.
"Djokovic, with 24 majors, is the greatest of all time."
GOAT i so small for Novak.
@Marijan Maksimovićno, its huge for him
We are lucky to have witnessed greatness of Novak Djokovic. Thanks Novak more power to you and your family
This is such a weak era, only Meddy and a barely 20 year old Alcaraz can keep up with him.
@Mirea Felderit’s true tbh
@ELEKTR1X Sure, that's what I said.
тачно
ноле је не само највећи тенисер свих времена
него и највећи спортиста
As a russian i'am happy to see these two together. Novak is beast. Congratulations to him and to my serb bro's and sisters!
Greetings, hugs and respect from Serbia, brother. We love Medvedev
It's so nice to watch these two play in the finals.
@Itana Marko
POZDRAV ZA TEBE BRATE IZ --SRBIJE , CG ,RS
@Itana Marko after Novak, Daniil has become my next favourite! Both are articulate, kind and smart and that in not their native language! Hats off. A pleasure to listen to their interviews.
🇷🇸🇷🇺🇷🇸🇷🇺
@PitterPatter100 yes! And both so respectful towards each other. That's so nice to watch!
A historic feat. The great Djokovic: one of the very greatest sportspersons to ever live, on this earth. The stuff of myths and legends.
He did surprised everyone with so many serve & volleys... would argue he never went to the net like this in last 5 years atleast in any match. And it went great
Watching Djokovic playing it is always a pure master class. At the age of 36 he is crashing everyone. True champion right there. And his IQ is also so high.
Djokovic looked exhausted during the second set, and yet he still managed to pull away from Medvedev. That kind of stamina at his age is unreal.
Plant power more like. People don't realise it's a secret weapon.
Making Novak's records that much more impossible to reach.
@Tim Simon these fools will never understand the longevity and endurance it gives you, 100% a secret weapon exclusive to those who can overcome their animal flesh/secretion addiction 😉
He said it himself in the interview. He was feeling really exhausted in the 2nd set, but when he won it, he felt relieved and had more energy in the third set than in the second one.
And Medvedev one of the fittest guys on tour from the next gen, winning 4 tournaments in 5 weeks or something earlier the season. To not even get one set off the djoker is insane
Djokovic has so far competed in 72 Grand Slam tournaments and reached the finals 36 times. He has 24 wins. The guy reached the finals in half of all the Grand Slam tournaments he entered. This is such an amazing statistic that it's hard to believe. Novak Djokovic is definitely the greatest of all time.
Made the Finals half the times he entered GS tournaments, and won 1/3 of all the GS tournaments draws he's played into... 😱🥶🥶🥶🥶💪💪💪🍀🍀🍀🍀🐊🇷🇸🧡
He wouldnt have won french if rafa didnt get hurt. They would be tied for the most slam.
@almanu04same way Nadal wouldn't have won AO 2022 if Djokovic had played. Yes we can play that card too😂
@footballdebunk and at least Djokovic has beaten Rafa at RG before. Meanwhile Nadal hasn't won a set off Djokovic on hard courts for 10 years now
Cant imagine the physical and mental strength of Djokovic. Never doubted him ever since. I can still remember the 1st time I saw him playing against Tsonga circa 2008/9. That is the reason why I got hooked with tennis
Novak is an inspiration to us all.
What an astonishing and breathtaking performance.
Also congrats and respect to Daniil.
That second set was BRUTAL...
HOW did he win that?!
ONLY Novak
I think it was one of the most hard fought sets in history.
@Michael Brown yeahh i was tired just watching it 😭 novak's net play edged him in that set
Novak let Medvedump get to the breaker how generous
@JohnJohnR He just hit one more ball than Daniil
The greatest of all time, 36 years of age and still going and winning. 😁
Rafa is still around, so dont keep your hopes high
@almanu04🤣
@almanu04the baldie on steroids?? 😂 that old uncle is in a yacht somewhere in the Bahamas.
@almanu04senorita baldal is done
If he doesn't get a serious injury for the next 2 years he can make it 30 grand slam which I don't think if anyone can ever reach that record even though I believe nobody can ever reach to 24 gs too. This guy is an absolute beast
Just the greatest athlete of all sports in history.
That second set was a championship set indeed! Props to Novak for staying clutch and not falling through in clutch moments, that was the key for the victory. Great journey for Meddy as well as he didn’t only win Alcaraz which was incredible, but also Rublev, De Minaur, who apparently happened to be his kryptonite as of recently, and even Baez who was on a 12 match win streak. He fought through brutal conditions like no one else and not anyone pointed that out how all of that could’ve affected the Daniil’s physique and his mental state. He could’ve also made some history by beating Carlos and Novak at the same tournament and especially on a grand slam. Insane path and he should be proud of himself and learn the corresponding lessons. It will help him boost his confidence too as he’s realized he can beat anyone on tour, no doubt. He will be better next time for sure!
I’m glad someone acknowledged Medvedev’s path to final was so tough. 😢
Medvedev lacked of a Little lucidity in that 2nd set with that Match point and Also when he was up in the Tie. And lacked of a bit of luck as well. Both things that Nole had in that Moment instead. It's a Pity because he ruined the Great performance against Alcaraz which deserved to lead to a title
That 2nd set told you everything you needed to know about Djokovic. He had every right to lose it but dug deep and clung on somehow. Got to give credit to him tactically too though. He served and volleyed more times in the first set than he had in the whole tournament. Brain, body and experience got him number 24. G. O. A. T.
Was so sure Djoker in 3. Until Novak retires none will win. ❤
This is a textbook match for any who plays or want to play tennis. Once more time Novak produces to a lot of people who have been doubt him over and over again on so many different ways. The simple answer for all is he proved to be greatest player in the history of the game. We're all blessed to witness and be able to watch him playing. Congratulations Nole for another victory and another record.
Yes amazing athlete , this is a true example of what ; top sport sciences , diet lifestyle , spirituality combined is all about !! Novak can be considered so far the greatest player in the history …so many have tried to stop him …somehow
👍🏼
beating alca took a lot out of meddy. djok is lucky to face like 1 top 10 player to the final. the draw completely opened up for him. look at wimbledon draw in contrast. djok had to play wawrinka,hurkaz, rublev, sinner and alpaca
The fact that he has done the era of Roger Federer and Nadal both guys with 20 grand slam means a lot
I can agree for the first time that he is the greatest player that ever grace the game
Someday I’ll tell my kids I got to watch the great Novak Djokovic do his thing and how lucky I was to witness it.
The GOAT raising his level to GOATmode, he was unplayable, really. I mean Medvedev wasn't bad at all, but Djokovic was insanely creative, and his technic was perfect, so no doubt that Medvedev or Alcaraz don't stand any chance.
Incredible that at 36 years old he can play tennis at high level. When I was 36 years old, just jogging was exhausting.
Worthy of respect ,,, GOAT
Serbia is a small occupied country. The country of the greatest athletes and the worst politicians. The oldest country in the Balkans, the oldest script, the oldest calendar of 7531.
Russians and Serbs brothers forever.
@Milic Gordana
Jbt, kakve veze ima to sto covek kaze da je u 36-oj jedva i dzogirao, dok Novak melje, sa ovim sto si ti napisala?!? Zasto je i kako je ovo odgovor na njegov post??? Aman...
High level beacuse of the weak era and his magic potion 🤣🤣🤣
@Teragram Lawrence
Weak era with Fed and Nadal? Aha, go sleep, kid.
4 Grand Slams Finals, 3 Wins and 1 loose in 5 hours ....... and that with 36(!) years...... This is not a human...... LEGEND and GOAT oft this sport !!!!!!!!!!!
Both are great guys and delivered a great final especially the 2nd set, Meddy has much to be proud of defeating Rublev and Alcaraz and making the final from such a hard path. Djokovic is inevitable, this guy never stops
The Undisputed Greatest Tennis Player of human history, the one and only Titan standing alone on the summit of the Tennis Hill, Novak Djokovic. The man is an inspiration in skill, technique, professionalism, longevity, health, commitment and mental fortitude at the most elite level. I feel proud to live and witness the era of King Novak ♥
BRAVO!
Победници пишу историју .Браво !!!!.
Wow unbelievable .....24 GS, 3rd this year and still going strong at 36, Djokovic is a beast.
To beat Meddy in this fashion , straight sets in final...now world no 1....GOAT
Absolutely OUTSTANDING. Tennis hero. I only follow tennis and he's been my favourite since he appeared on the scene.
Same here, my favourite tennis player and greatest of them all. Congrats Djokovic
Too bad he’s very arrogant off camera
Absolutely outstanding for his toilet breaks more like 🤣🤣
@Teragram Lawrenceeveryone is allowed to use the bathroom. What do you mean? 💀
People wanted to stop this guy playing tennis by saying "you can´t play while deciding about your own body." They´ve obviously made him even stronger, it seems.
and those same people are now eating their words as they "mysteriously" drop dead...
What a beast of a human. I remember the time when Federer and nadal used to beat him in semi’s/ finals. At that time I used to root for Novak. That was a long time ago. Look what the guy has achieved. Insane. Much respect for this guy. Unbelievable
72 GS appearances - 36 Finals
12 GS titles before 30 yo - 12 GS titles after 30 yo
Perfect balance
NoleGOAT is goating 🎉❤ 😮😊👍🎾💯
🤣🤣🤣 more meaningless stats?
@Vincent M chocolate boy fans
Keep dreaming
@Lol who is chocolate boy?
@Vincent M👎👎👎😫
When an immovable object meets an immovable object. The defence from these two is elite
This man is a machine 🙌
So greatful to have witnessed the big 3 era, Nole Federer and Nadal. Imagine tennis be like without them??? Since 2010, I've almost watched all their big games and finals ❤
Machine brakes down, Nole gets banned or disqualified
Djokovic- such a great in fitness and skill, temperament and character! Just watching him with todays opposition makes me realise the greatness and mastery too, of Federer and Nadal, and their resultant synergies that raised the game above any past era…and possibly for a while to come.
5:34 I watched this slowmotion forehand 20 times. This guy is so great!
Collision of titans! Tennis at the very border of human capabilities! Thank you both!
WOW! This man is like a machine, never stops. always looks for a win! Congrats Novak - you are really the BEST!
The man who stood up for his (and our) individual sovereignty and won against a corrupt system, he is the greatest tennis player and role model of all time.
Well said
They stopped him with the corrupted rules, that was clearely not adapted to health situation and he fought against the corruption and managed to come back and win. great example of bravourness
That australian prime minister is voted out last year
Grandissimo Novak.onore e rispetto per chi come te non si è piegato alle classi di potere
Grazie x questo !Salutoni
Big congratulations to you Novak Djokovic for winning your 4th US open men's title in style and in the process create history again by winning your 24th Grand Slam.
You are truly living your childhood dream and inspiring humanity whilst doing it, congratulations is due you, once again and again and again, Champion
No words for this man 💪
Novak is a beast of mental toughness he is a goat of tennis a true champion 🏆
It is a gift that we are being able to see a person totally dedicated to tennis like Sr.Novak Djokovic, a total champion who makes us see that dreams come true by working to the maximum.
so glad he didnt took the jabs, congrats Novak Djokovic . That was terrific !
It’s like watching two chess masters going at it, running marathons at the same time.
That’s the beauty of tennis ❤️
He has the strongest backhand, the strongest return, the strongest mentality, and the strongest tactician.
He also has a great serve and a great forehand.
In recent years, he has also improved his volleying.
In addition, he is injury-free and has a great body.
He is a hard court specialist, a clay specialist, and a grass specialist.
What on earth does he not have?
An overhead
2nd best clay specialist ..with this weak era he benefitted another Roland Garros and US Open..
@ArtemisYap,alcaraz is so weak,he will never beat djoker again in a gs
@Rasikh Alabbee i didn't include alcaraz in that weak era. He will beat nole more times in upcoming slams
@Artemis Nah,i dont see alcaraz beating nole again in a gs,,nole was so unclutch in wimby final,he wont repeat those mistakes again,,patrick mortagloue analysed that carlos will never beat nole again in a gs,
Also medvedev can beat carlos and everybody knows that now, in the 2nd set,meddy lost 2 points in his serve against carlos,if his serve is on,he can dominate carlos on hard court,
Congratulations Djokovic👏👏👏👏, you are and will always be the best and greatest of all time. Well done man
Congrat Novak Djokovic, you are legend. Love from Indonesia
Medvedev was relentless, especially during the second set, yet Djokovic kept his composure and prevailed. What a match between two greats.
Novak will probably retire after he wins 30 grand slams. A complete sportsman. Congratulations.
NoVax did amazing for his age... he seemed very very tired but compensated with amazing net play... both AMAZING!!!!
Both incredibly cool personalities!
Djokovic was so dialed in in grand slam finals this year, he handled pressure with ease and won in straight sets against top class opponents, just amazing
And now there is no need to compare, there is no doubt. The best tennis player of all time 🥇 DJOKOVIC 🏆 G.O.A.T 🥰❤🥰
I think Djokovic can win a few more GS next year! Unbelievable man! 🍾🎩
Heart-felt congratulations to Novak and utmost admiration! Nole the Superman!
Djokovic's new Serve & Volley is an welcome change from from his tradition Base line rubber.
Pa mora ipak on ima 36 ali i to radi vrhunski kao i sve ostalo.
Novak was able to mix it up with some timely serve and volleys in the second set. He's the new goat
Kakva priča, kakva karijera, kakav TENISKI GIGANT !!! NOVAK🐐GOAT🐐NOVAK🐐GOAT🐐NOVAK🐐GOAT🐐NOVAK🐐GOAT🐐NOVAK🐐GOAT🐐NOVAK🐐GOAT🐐
Congrats 🍾🥂🏆
Orthodox final 🙌🏻 Congrats Djoker 🐐👑
This match should serve as a blueprint for Novak to go on and win more GS in next 3-4 years. It was the perfect balance of tactics and execution of a game plan.
Rewatching this, I remember how great the level has been from both! Meddy played on a very high level and the margins were much closer as the straight set win might show. Nole just outclassed Meddy with more creative plays in the most important moments. Great final!
Novax c’est le meilleur tennisman de tous les temps. ❤❤❤❤ Bravo à lui.
One drive volley away from calendar Grand Slam. Bravo Novace!
1 not touching the ball (at all) away from CYGS!!!! But anyway 24th 👏👏👏👏💪🔥 congrats GOAT, keep going strong!!!! 💪💪💪💪🙏🙏🙏🙏🍀🍀🍀🍀🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It is a great shame that the organizer did not write the country of origin next to Medvedev's name. The fact that the finals of the US Open were played by one Russian and one Serbian is cosmic justice in itself.
We will remember this is the guy who has been forbidden to play tennis because he was not vaccinated …. Since then loads still coming up … about accuracy of how much the vaccine was protective etc … Djokovic to be retained as one of the greatest GOAT amid GOATs from all sports ….!!!! so is 24 GS … could have been 25 GS or even more …. easily …
More like 26 or 27 maybe.
❤❤❤
BRAVO
Banned from AO and USO
Imagine if they didn’t allow him to compete this year as well! Ridiculous
Djokovic point: what a shot by him what a player he is
Medvedev point: Djokovic tried his best what a player he is
😃
This will never be repeated in tennis history. Even if someone eventually overtakes his GS rally, nobody will do it in the golden Era djokovic competed in. Nobody will face the same adversity and political persecution, unfair decisions and ATP bias against him to stop him from winning more slams and counting more #1 weeks. Unforunately, the fairness has been stripped away from his numbers that deserve to be EVEN BIGGER than they already are.
But he gained something bigger than numbers. Legacy, he became a symbol for all people who haven't forgotten what principles are. This man surpassed sports, that's why he became, the greatest athlete to ever walk on Earth.
I don't follow the ATP very much. Watched the Med vs Alcaraz match, which was absolutely fascinating. And what can I say? Med is very strong and very fast, almost indestructible, but Novak is just supreme. Novak's incredibly precise shots. GG! 😍
Како време пролази све ми Ђоковић више личи на неки хибрид машине и ванземаљаца 😱🤫
Браво Ђоковићу краљу легендо 💪🎾🇷🇸
Masterful display both players played well would have been glad for either to win for they represent our collective protest to the West by tennis of the highest calibre. Victory for our Slavic brotherhood. Rock on Novak you GOAT lol 😆
he's just playing for history and legacy now
I didn't even know that the tournament had started 😅, and now Novak has won it😅. Amazing...
🇷🇸🙏🏴
Buen trabajo Novac ,Medvedev también es muy bueno, sólo uno es el ganador ❤...gran juego para ambos 🎉
Thank you for the great extended highlights! Congratulations Novak Goatkovic
The Greatest Ever - His Magnificence, Novak Djoković!
No. 👀
@Aleksandr Nikolaj MantovaniCry, cry...😂😂😂😂
@Vicko Slavkovic I'm not crying, i'm just saying that he's not the best 👀
@Aleksandr Nikolaj Mantovani and who is?
Still sad that we missed a chance to see another Djokovic vs Alcaraz match, but still amazing form from Djokovic to win number 24, he just keeps going!
Novak the great!!!! Love this man 👏👏👏
Totale maîtrise, Djoko, impressionnant
A great final with an insane second set. It's actually crazy how many corners they both were hitting during the course of the match. Volleying was suprime too. I feel privileged to have been able to watch the GOAT still goating at 36.
Thank you for a wonderful match and US Open final. Nole? Congratulations on making history, and Daniil? You fought incredibly hard, especially in the 2nd set. Bravo to you both!
During the second set, novak looked so exhausted already.but even if its not his best he still managed to win second set.his level of tennis is really insane!!!
They did not show the point but in the second set Novak kept back handing the ball to Daniil's back hand, each time with more power. He did not try to change the direction, or put spin on it. He just pummeled Daniil's backhand till he succumbed. I think that was the point in the game where Daniil realized that he wasn't going to beat Novak with either brute strength or finesse.
Djokovic sẽ là vân động viên thể thao tennis xuất sắc nhất mọi thời đại sau chức vô địch us open 2023
If I were Novak I would have passed out at set point 5-6 in the second set.
That's why you are not Novak😊
@Tarun Kumar Reddy Yep.
Djokovic best,
For,ever,savo,cicovacki,melburn
Today, Djokovic did not become nervous. He some how believed he would win.
He chocked in Wimbledon.
Beacuse the magic potion kicked in that why 🤣🤣🤣🤣
When djokovic went and helped Medvedev after he fell that shows that he’s a true legend and amazing
That's cos he had won the point! :D
when Djokovic plays aggressive like here, he's unstoppable. What a performance he produced! Wow
This is not easy for Novak..he still have that stamina.
Congratulations the tennis ball Hero Novak Djokovic 🤞✌️👍 i love YOU legend ❤️❤️❤ From Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Novak da real MVP!
ini adalah kemenangan Novak mendapatkan gelar ke-24 titel Grand Slam di US Open. gila keren banget!!!!
sekali lagi SELAMAT!
Honestly, he deserves much more applause from the audience. He has worked every bit to reach here. Go Novak 👏👏👏👏
The undisputed GOAT 🐐❤❤
Herzlichen Glückwunsch, NOVAK DJOKOVIC. YOU ARE THE GREATEST. With Love from Germany
Perfect tennis Novak, mainlly in defending, driving and netting.
I think this match is one of your best quality.
Cogratulations.
Perfect magic potion 😂😂
The best there is, the best there ever was, the best there ever will be.
Unbeatable champion Novak!!
Serve and volley was so effective for Djokovic
And his return
Extended rallies
Dudes the GOAt
No one else on tour has had the big 3 (or other 2) to push them to such an extent, I think this is why Djoko is so unrivalled today despite his age. Just pure battle experience
HE CAME BACK TO LIFE AFTER THAT SECOND SET 😲
Definitely, Novak is GOAT ❤
congrat, Novak. he has finally completed volley. he could overcome young guns by this new weapon. Alcaraz in Cincinnati and Medvedev in us open.
