  • Emotions are high as Emma storms off to separate herself from the spirit from within. Not wanting to be an Eternal Warrior of the Unicorn. Seeks spiritual guidance, while the gang tries to track her down.
Things aren't like the way used to be, somethings changed. As evil draws closer as it sneaks its way through the cosmos.

Emma made a very good point that Melinda should have left her body and find a new host who is willing to help because you can't force someone against their will and they should have the right to decide for themselve too.

@@trueordrue I don’t think so. My theory is that the reason why Emma was chosen, is probably the lifespan and health she has than other humans , that i know some people but rare live, a lifespan of 100 years or more and still good in health and able to do stuff on there own . Maybe she can’t because it’s not something you can undo, unless you pass away but if you do, it’s more likely for the soul disappear, without being reborn to another body especially without the robot help by doing it.

While I’m usually a “personal Liberty is paramount” kind of guy in this instance it doesn’t make sense to switch bodies; if that is even possible. As much as it sucks this would be for a far greater good. Plus the girl couldn’t even live out her life even if Malinda leaves because the evil would likely destroy the city if not the world. So in this instance you 100% CAN take control of someone else and it would be the morally right thing to do.

Perhaps the spell Merlin used to reincarnate is weakened each time they come back. This time, their host bodies developed their own souls as a result of this weakness, as if unicorn never existed, allowing two souls to exist at the same time. Though, they should find a way to separate them so they each can live their own lives after saving the world.

I have a kind of theory. Perhaps the current warriors were chosen as a failsafe and a reset to keep the unicorn warriors from falling completely to darkness: something they are in danger of. Through the series, I see a lot of buildings being absolutely wrecked. People have been getting caught in the crossfire: the same people the unicorn warriors have been charged to protect. It's possible that this has been happening for a while and that's why Seng's soul suspected the timeline had been changed. This has me thinking that Merlin very much suspected this could happen and set Copernicus to deviate from its usual selection to find non-warriors. They needed people with a regard for life and how sacred it is to set the souls of the unicorn warriors back on the right path, so they wouldn't fall to darkness. For, if they fall to Darkness, the world would too. These are just some of my thoughts. What are yours on this?

I thought the same. Essentially, the warriors are robbing the lives and taking away the autonomy of their "reincarnations" or hosts. What happens when the evil is taken out again? Do Melinda and Edrid get their romantic life back on track despite the hosts having families of their own, or do they disappear?
Because the way I see what is happening, Emma was robbed and put into a situation where she is not in control. And Edrid is an ass about it all along with melinda. They are AHoles who say that they fight evil while being unkind, arrogant, and uncaring of those around them as long as they do their job and kiss after. To take away free will is to be evil too.
Seng is just a passive monk who cant see what is infront of him or seems to fathom just how blind he is.
Copernicus, although to blame for assigning hosts, is a robot. Hes just doing his job.

@@sierralovat5498 I mean "robbed" is the nice way of putting it really. It's implied that normaly the spirirt of the warrior complelty overtake the one of the original host (as we can see with Elred no traces of Dimitir the street magician ever" pipping in and Eldred certainly don't ever menation him or seem to give any sort of aknowlegement or care...) and so far there's no particular indication that the body is ever "given back" or anything of the sort so.... really how is it different than the downright murder of the orifginal personality when all said an done ?

People seem to forget that if this is truly a reincarnation then Emma is Melinda and at this point, Emma is just a split personality that is trying to reject her true self/past memories which is Melinda. Unless someone or something caused Melinda's soul to inhabit Emma's body in which case we have two souls in one body.

The way Edred words things in episode 4 makes it abundantly clear that these heroes don't give a damn about who they get to possess/reincarnate as as long as there's someone to possess/reincarnate from. A very clear "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" to them despite robbing people of their lives and from their loved ones. And apparently in episode 3, it seems that there are also descendants of these heroes when they hosted other bodies, meaning that they also probably never left the bodies they possessed.

I’m going to call it now, Emma is going to try and put Malinda in the women’s who thought she was supposed to be her reincarnation body, only to find out she really is her reincarnation.
A lot of people think Emma going to accept her destiny but I think the show going to go another direction. Maybe having to sort of share.
I have a feeling that unicorn isn’t as noble as they think they are. For example they don’t seem to know what exactly is the evil force they’re fighting. I’ve also noticed that the “bad guys” seem to only attack them and that unicorn seems to hurt people when attacking the evil forced.
I starting to think these evil forces such as lady fox may either A. Be former unicorn reincarnations, or B. Family members of the people they’ve possessed who wants to destroy it.
I also have a feeling willfred (Emma’s fiancé) might become an evil force trying to get Emma back or join the likes of lady fox.

Aside from getting hoed on her wedding, the amount of pressure she's feeling while she's having an existential and identity crisis in the midst of all this nonsense. This show does a trope that I love but I've really never seen outside of a few fanfics, the idea that being chosen is a terrible burden. Being the chosen one, or being reincarnated to fight evil is like being drafted to fight in a war. the person being drafted is forced to give up everything and not by their own choice.
It's a nice twist on the tale of eternal heroes.

At first, I thought each incarnation is base on a heritage or physical link in some way. Meaning that each incarnation is binding by birth right. But after Episode 3 where they show the actual "Bloodline" who are fit and ready for this task but yet Copernicus chose to simply marching down to a girl's wedding and ruined the one time happiness of her own life. ............. Even if its for best possible out come, It doesn't changing the fact that the girl has been robbed from her own life.

  • @Momoyue
    @Momoyue Před rokem +17

I think you could actually make the point that all of the previous incarnations of the warriors more than likely would have given up their bodies to the Unicorn. All of the previous chosen were strong people already. In one timelime, Melinda and Edred were knights. Knights who would have bravely sought to fight any evil. In another Edred was a Viking and Seng was a Native American, both of them have cultures that would have made them more willing to sacrifice their bodies for the greater good. This is the only timeline where we see that the incarnations chosen were the worst possible fit; a bride, a magician, and an orphan. Not only were they too young, but none of them were strong fighters like the previous chosen. Obviously we'll eventually find out why they were chosen, but it's easy to see why someone like Emma is fighting it when she was a poor choice to begin with.

Melinda isn't helping her case. She shows no real empathy to any humans since she got there when she is in control. Plus, if the descendants mean anything, they are either never allowed to return home to the remade families again, and/or worse, once the duty is job, the reincarnated heroes still keep the bodies and make their own families, regardless if the original bodies consent. Which shows a true lack of actual genuine care in the competence of doing their job

My thoughts are these current reincarnations weren't supposed to be the reincarnations.
It seemed like the evil forces woke up Capurnicus early and maybe even damaged him in the fight.
    Evidence is mostly
Emma being able to constantly fight Melinda for controll.
The kid clearly being pointed out to be too young to properly controll the cosmic monk powers along with the monk saying the future has been changed.
The Elf Edric even admitted his memories and mind is fuzzy (also capurnicus only seemed to choose him because he flirted with emma/malinda before becoming possed)
The evil fox lady saying they tried to stop the warriors from being reincarnated and the warriors seem off and this might be their last reincarnation cycle.
There are 2 people who are descendants of some reincarnations and ready to give up their lives but foe some reasons weren't chosen?

I think is less that they werent the reincarnations and is just that probably their bodies weren't just either ready yet OR just that some reincarnations are more "spiritual" connected to the unicorns, like imagine you were a reincarnation of an old you that was a warrior but you were an office clerk, at least past you would have preferred the current you was a sportsman

I feel as though the Elf and Melinda are more selfish. They speak about their duties but the boy has more of a balance between the original soul and his own yet the other two literally steal the life for their mission but also their love. So it just seems they use their mission as an excuse to keep themselves to each other rather than being another person or part of another person. Just how I look at it because I doubt those two ever got with anyone else besides each other

  • @UnluckySuperstition

Well, it seems to me that every new generation of heros is meant to be the three people in the world who contain the reincarnated souls of each warrior of the first generation of heros in the past (sort of like how it is in Zelda), which seems to be why Pericles in the first episodes montage finds people from completely separate sections of the Earth to bring together in each generation of the past. But for our current trio there is obviously some anomaly occuring that convinced or forced Pericles to choose the three people we have in this current generation- despite the fact that we catch a glimpse of the two individuals that were most likely the 'true' reincanates or descendants of the past heros for Melinda and the Soul.
But the question remians tgat since Emma and the Kid are clearly not Melinda and the Souls true reincarnations- as we've seen the two people arrested who claim to have been direct descendents who've trained tgeir whole lives for the purpose of Pericles awakening them- it brings up the question of if Pericles is actually 'awakening the heros reincarnations' or if hes got something about his being that litterally implants the heros souls and memories into whoever he deems to be the new heros and it acts as a parasite overriding the bodies own unique soul and memories. Clearly Emma and the Kid are not the 'destines ones' but if they were true reincarnations tgen tge memories and transfer of the awakened souls should in theory be smooth as its always appeared to have been.

I think what makes it worse is that we actually see the descendants of the Order of the Unicorn and/or their previous incarnations who actually are more then willing to let themselves be the incarnations not just because they know about the situation and the great evil, but because it actually looks like they've trained their whole lives and getting prepared for it.
But again because something happened, most likely the Great Evil awakening earlier and Copernicus himself being forcefully awakened earlier too by the Evil's minions attacking him, it set in a big change in motion. So even if it was true that the Order of the Unicorn was already prepared and had will people, in this case their descendants to reincarnate into, they were still susceptible to being pushed off course.
Still I do have to say Melinda is indeed being very harsh and unreasonable herself to Emma. Sure you could most certainly say Emma is being selfish but Melinda's actions and attitude telling and even forcing Emma to turn over her life and existence to her is really terrible, and frankly even more selfish. Like does she really expect Emma to just give up her life and existence to her just like that?! Melinda didn't even try to explain the situation with the Great Evil to Emma, she just expected her to comply and obey her. I honestly questioned if we can even call Melinda a Heroine when she's behaving more like a villainess here. But maybe that's the point as well, to show that the Order of the Unicorn have their own faults and issues.

Think of it like an amnesiac and how they can be completely different from who they originally were, now you can say that is two seperate people but then you merge the memories and experience them vividly, the two lives will end up becoming one. Reincarnation isn’t chosen for the most convenient and their second time reincarnating wouldn’t have descendants claiming to be the next eternal warrior instead their souls settling in where they can until their memories are activated. Though I don’t know how the powers are activated and how the guy practically changed species. Is there elf dna in humans, especially in that particular human?

This song and dance between these three warriors and bug blue fire monster has been happening for centuries and they haven't actually won. And, this ain't her fault, it's the goofy ahh robot. Like, they literally possed Joan of Arc, THE Joan of Arc, a Nordic viking which, mind you are known fir invading Britain multiple times with millions of body counts and an Indigenous American warrior which also have quite the death count. Which tribe? I don't know. The show probably doesn't even know either. You'd think that these three warriors would actually collaboration with the new bodies they have invaded. But, no.
