- With the upcoming Graphic Novel, Danny Phantom: A Glitch In Time, I thought why not talk about the debut of of Danny Phantom's most personal and strongest foes yet...himself!
Dark Danny. A bad ending variant of him grown up into a heartless phantom, who's all about mayhem.
Making only one appearance and remembered so well. Why is that? Well here's my reasons.

Not only is Dark Danny favorite Danny Phantom villain, but he is one of my favorite Nickelodeon villain of all time.
I cannot believe that we are getting a new Danny Phantom story so long after the series concluded. And on top of that - Dark Danny is involved! I CANNOT WAIT to read it 😍❤️
butch's retcon is not canon because he doesn't own the rights, and he has no control or say over the IP, not to mention, he doesn't work at nickelodeon anymore
Yeah I knew he'd left AWHILE ago, but I remembered that retcon being a thing.

I heard Butch is allowing the comic to exist as he has no problem with people making new content without him so that is a fun fact to know 😅
He actually left Nickelodeon and they as a company own the rights to the property, so he couldn't do shit about it even if he wanted to.

To Danny Phantom fans who wish to see their ghostly superhero return to TV or in other streaming services, sign and share out the “Bring Back Danny Phantom” petition now to further the chances.
If the show ever return to TV again I’m hoping the news seasons involve showing how Danny gets used to living a none secret double life after showing the world his true heroic self. Not to mention perhaps see an episode where he introduces Danielle to his family and they adopt her as part of their kin, as Butch Hartman planned had the show been able to continue after Season 3. Also like to see Danny and Sam’s relationship as an official couple develop say the new seasons has time to by up to their pre-adult years and they get married and have kids like Hartman planned if the show was able to continue on further.
Also it be exciting say if we get new seasons should the show returns, and seasons 4-5, or 6 lead up to a movie version of the “A Glitch In Time” novel only it involves every noble ally Danny has, including Vlad, to bring Dark Danny down for good. Also for an epic moment say Danny was able to unlock a new powered up form that helps give him the upper edge he needs to beat Dark Danny and ultimately destroy him for good via extinguishing his corrupted soul out of existence.

The comicbook will definitely will be worth the read. I found the take interesting if Danny's ghost after he separated Vlad Plasmus from his ghost part could've just let him fuse back and knock him out while he was vulnerable at the time. Or better yet, after the separation Ghost Danny should have just grabbed the Fenton Thermos and used it to send Vlad's Ghost into the Ghost Zone! That way Vlad's Dark half will be no more! Vlad will just be a regular old man and Danny's Ghost will return back to Danny's original body and as a result Danny will understand, within himself that his work is finally done, and he will live the life he always desired with or without Vlad Plasmus in 2023 and with each new connection he makes, he will see himself get closer to his future goals! Especially in 2023! And I will really like a new person in Danny's generation to help him in his future goals, a young person who will lead him in better directions going forward!

The novel/comics was good although I hate how the story ends with Danny choosing to keep his secret identity a secret from his parents and everyone, except Sam, Jazz, Tucker, and his ghostly allies or foes, all over again. Plus Danielle wasn’t involved. Not to mention it remains debatable if this comic is even canon to the show since Butch Hartman never made it, and in the novel, it depict ol’ Vlad watched the Disasteroid go through Earth during the events of “Phantom Planet” but in the show he was away from Earth out of remorse and guilt for how he messed up his whole life completely when his plan to take over the world backfired on him, and was last seen on a piece of space rock thinking over his loneliness till the Disasteroid crashed into him.

EDIT: Dan Phantom is the Darth Vader of Danny Phantom, he's so overpowered that the only way he can lose is to plot armor.

excited for that comic though i wasn't bothered by how dark danny was made. i always took it as that once phantom was ripped from danny he was incomplete and needed vlads ghosts half to be a complete ghost.
you mention about like never said anything about death in a Danny phantom show? It's Nickelodeon's policy to never mention death in front of a kid's network at any show animation or live action.
I get what you're saying, but them being ghosts...its kinda hard not to think that. Also I'm pretty sure in the show, there are some hints.
Like in Maternal Instints (Danny and his mum staying with Vlad) Vlad had some pelts of animals, who's spirits he used against Danny. (If I remember)
