The reveal of Melinda, Merlin, and Morgana revitalized my interest in the show. Emma has been rightfully upset that she has been caught up in an eternal conflict and it has put her at odds with Melinda. Now that she's seen that Melinda has a more personal reason for fighting the evil, who is her own mother, I wonder how this may change Emma's mind.

There is also the fact that either unknowingly or knowingly, Melinda’s behaviour towards Emma is reminiscent of Morgan and Young Melinda’s confrontation.
The example being both young Melinda and Emma being called “foolish child” and to “relinquish yourself to me”.
I wonder if that is going to come up, how in order to stop the Evil, Melinda has just turned into her mother
As someone who is loves Arthurian lore. I was wondering if we'll see Morgan Le Fay in this show. But I was not expecting Melinda to be the daughter of both Merlin and Morgan a cool revival and Morgan Le Fay is the evil the Unicorn Warriors have been fighting this whole time.
Until this episode I disliked Melinda's attitude towards Emma but now we get her and Emma got her too
The kitsune(the fox with multiple tails) might be in a Galvatron-type situation: she was hurt or in danger, met Morgan and was forced to make a deal with her to survive, resulting in her being the green spirit’s servant.
That seems to be where we are going with this. Would explain the werewolf too
The kitsune made it clear that she is just a servant/minion when she said " I failed again" indicates that that she works for someone either inside the kitsune or from the outside.
I think that’s why Melinda wasn’t fully sympathetic to Emma’s life when she was chosen to be her - Emma has everything Melinda didn’t have.
Emma have caring parents, a loving life, and she has happiness - Melinda’s life is full of depression, twisted parents, and she has nothing but her love by her side and yet she cannot be satisfied until her mom is defeated
Well, she had Edric. Which might be a selfish reason why she wants Emma to heel and just do what she says
It's hard to believe that Melinda was once nice, friendly and innocent as a child while she was cold and unemotional as an adult, then again the same goes for Merlin who turns out to be Melinda's father all along the strangest thing is that he never mention that he's Melinda's father back in the first episode when he introduce Copernicus. I also find this to believe that her mother Morgan have became an ancient evil spirit because of Melinda which might have explain why she became serious and devoted her role as the member of the Unicorn.
As much as I sympathize with Melinda is really hard to root for her the way how she treated Emily as nothing more than a sacrifice to her cause
But she didn't know that was her mother, from the first episode, she said she heard someone, as in, she didn't it was her mother and by the looks from the first, they might've already knew that Merlin is the father of Melinda, and he must've not told them that the evil is his wife
Honestly, we haven't really met Melinda enough to know what she is like. She seems to care for Endric a great deal.
To be honest I'm curious. Melinda's color palette is usually black and purple. But during her battle with the kraken her silhouette was white, I wonder if that was supposed to symbolize Emma.

For hundreds of years they literally wake up, kick some ass, and then rinse and repeat. From their perspective they're saving the world (a world that continuously changed radically every time they awaken) from something that could kill everyone, so of course they're not gonna obsess over everyone in the way, and from what we've seen they DO try to minimize casualties when they can (I think even Edred used his sword to prevent some folks from dying in one episode). When you think about it they're being a LOT nicer than most countries are when they go to war.
I'm curious about Winston being a puppet for Morgan/Green Spirit. Since he was bitten by a werewolf and he himself is now a werewolf, it makes me think that Winston will be a puppet unwillingly if we go by mythology of werewolves being wild and that the host has no memory for their actions. Personally, I think Winston would join the Green Spirit because of Unicorn ruining his life. Plus, I'm excited for Elf vs. Werewolf battle when it comes to the show 🤩

My biggest fear for this series: Edred is probably going to use Winston's newfound curse as an excuse to kill him out of petty jealousy just to have Emma/Melinda to himself and frame it as "he was a monster, there was no other choice!" only for it to turn out that they could've actually helped Winston had Edred set his entitled boyfriend BS aside for two seconds.
The twists with Melinda's backstory were pretty interesting, especially her mother Morgan becoming the Green Spirit. I'm not sure if she is evil, mainly due to how Melinda's dark magic attacked her. It made me wonder if maybe her magic is too dangerous or that Merlin is the true villain like I've seen other people theorize before. There were also some interesting parallels between adult Melinda and her mother in regards to how she treats Emma. She wants Emma to give herself over much like Morgan wanted Melinda to do in the past.
I also really hope that they focus on how this method of giving the Unicorn Warriors new bodies is pretty terrible. They want to protect humanity from this great evil, but they don't actually seem to care about humans caught in the crossfire. Not just their hosts, but they don't seem to care about humans in general.
I think Morgan is not going to be evil. I think she's trying to save Melinda from an evil magic that's brewing inside her
Yeah, I feel like we are being too hard on her. Especially since, really, what parent would want their child to have access to that sort of power?
@@carlycrays2831Morgan becoming the Green Spirit was an accident when you think about it and we don't know her intentions.
Reminder that Merlin is half Incubus and Morgan is Morgan. So while both have a handle of themselves, it's no wonder Melinda's power may be inherently evil even if her soul is good.

So far, I like where it’s going. Kind of a twist where the chosen ones resurrected are not always the knights in shiny armor. And turned out they’re the cause of the evil from an evil greater evil inside Melinda
morganna has a second name as well. Morgan Le Fay.
I dont think the imitators we saw were supose to get the souls, they just wanted because their ancestor were chosen before

@@carlycrays2831 I don't know about willingly given for the fact Melinda said that Emma shouldn't even be aware. If anything, I think the reincarnations were hinted to be adults and warriors. (Shaman/monk for Seng) And that made it easy for the Unicorn warriors to take control.

That, and they had giant energy monsters RIGHT THERE to worry about, like the cyclops for the knight on the castle.
The Morgan Le Fay also answered a minor quibble I had from episode 3. When Melinda/Emma withdrew part of her "covering" to get the engagement ring off her finger, a part of me want to point out that a Victorian age woman would not have polished nails (nail polish didn't come to the west until around the 1920's*). But seeing Morgan's hands, it may just be part of having magic.
*And yes, I know that THIS Victorian era is not OUR Victorian Era, anymore than Primal could take place in OUR pre-history. But I'm nitpicky and pedantic.
Felt like this show was slow to start but it's been getting alot better.. the animation is some of the best 👌 I've seen for tv if you're in love with a more traditional animation style 😊 I can only imagine if he got to start that Popeye movie.. it would've looked similar to this
When I saw that particular hue of green on Morgan's dress I knew it was trouble... but it felt like Melinda's magic corrupted Morgan’s magic like if the Magic’s were a bit independent beings from the users, like dark shadow from my hero academia, so maybe is this corrupted magic that took over Morgan rather than just killed her, she may reappear when they defeat her magic.
And also since Melinda seemed to have dark magic her mother wanted to take it away cuz it would be the safest but the father wanted her to keep it since he knew she could be a hero still using dark magic. Although I’m never completely sold on Merlin’s intentions, the previous episode when Emma was startled do the collateral damage I had the thought “are we the baddies?” If the unicorns warriors appear as a response to the chaos of the Fox lady or if the Fox lady causes mayhem for the unicorns to appear and they are the real target ( like in miraculous ladybug ) but this episode made it look that they are more of a contingency plan to deal with this corrupted entity

I’m still wondering about the mechanics of choosing hosts, I always though it was more like Avatar the last airbender where when body dies the soul gets renewed into a random body and Copernicus is just holding onto the backup data of the trio to awaken within the old soul
The thing is, we know that at least two people were preparing themselves to be hosts and were fully committed to the idea. So why weren't they chosen?

I like how young Melinda looks like Dororo . I know alot of characters use Fleisher and Osamu Tezuka designs , but I feel like it's alot of nostalgia for that design.

Morgane also is the French name, and French is one of if not the main language for the Arthurian legends, so it's not really a play so much as just the accurate name.

@@CartoonUniverse Well, that's problematic considering the moon wasn't any different than today 5000 years ago and there was never two planets beside it. Peoples would have noticed such a detail.
What can be speculated to occur based on what already has so far? Copernicus is gone, and Melinda is still hurting from her mistakes that led to the Great Evil. She knows that everything that occurred is her fault. Emma holds no ire. She feels terrible for Melinda's mistakes. Yet, it reveals Melinda possessing better control over the vessel, though not as well as Edred's control over Dmitri. Say, did Edred and Seng know about any of this?
Man sucks were halfway through the series.....i want to see the evil entity have thier own episode

A few things here.
1) As far as the “proper vessels,” is concerned its hard to say for certain. As it seems like Copernicus just chooses people at random to be the next vessel with the spirits of the hero’s completely taking over there bodies. Also considering that allot of the so called Mystics taken in were fakes, and that these warriors have been operating throughout time. It’s possible that the people taken in only heard of the tails of the warriors and ether are using there legacy’s for there own gain as some sort of con. Or they are hoping that they really will become the next vessels, without really having any say over it like comic book fans wanting to be superheroes themselves.
2) As for Morgan it’s hard to say for certain. If she’s really good or evil. Yes Morgan in Arthurian legend was frequently evil and trying to destroy Camelot, but in this situation it’s also possible to see that Morgan is trying to remove an extremely dangerous power from her daughter who’s too young, reckless, and inexperienced to handle the power. Only got it to turn and end up corrupting Morgan instead. Midlina’s power has shown to be extremely destructive as it destroyed an entire city block and almost killed her vessel’s fiancé.
3) I think you may be giving the “time travelers too much credit with there knowledge. Because if Merlin really was able to see into the future and see that Melinda’s powers could be used for good, then why couldn’t he also foresee and prevent his wolf from being corrupted by the same powers? Also I don’t think Copernicus made any sort of self sacrifice to try and improve the team. We already had a fake out death that turned out to not happen with Melinda’s vessel’s fiancé, who turned out to be fine in the end. Though he’s a wear wolf now. Instead to see we’re that goes. Also considering the preview of the next episode shows them going to a mystery’s person to try and get Copernicus fixed, and that this place and time also has steampunk robots. It’s safe to assume that Capernacus was created in this point in time and that he’s just going to be fixed by his creator in the next episode.

Spoiler Alert! The Villain in this Show is Mordred, The Son of Morgan la fey.
It's revealed that mordred has possessed morgan, and he now wants to use Melinda as his new vessel.
Personally, I think you're giving the cult of the descendants too much credit. It seems to me that they understand a lot of what's going on - that the heroes get reincarnated, that they have to fight a great evil, that this happens every generation - but a lot of that seems like the sort of cult that might happen naturally considering what's been happening. I don't think the reincarnations have to be through the descendants of those chosen before, like they seem to think (or else it might get really weird and vaguely incestuous for Melinda and Edrid in particular). It's a logical conclusion to draw, and this is the sort of logic cults have a lot of the time - you are the descendant of a god, and cannot have your own life, for you must prepare for the possibility of becoming the vassal for that god once again - but I think the cult is wrong in that regard, and it seems as though the reincarnations throughout time are rather different from each other - Seng, in particular, seems to change ethnicity a lot throughout the reincarnations.
I also don't think Copernicous has everything planned out that far in advance. He seems to be drawn towards the people he's known for millenia, but is still reacting to things moment by moment. I know he's a magical robot from the future, but there's a human element to his character that is severely lost when you make him omniscient. I think his death was as much a surprise to him as it was to everyone else.
Is there any body else that just doesn't like this show?
I keep looking for someone pointing out what im seeing. Which is; the blocking in the fight scenes are erratic and don't accurately display the 3d space the fight is in, the pacing is rushed and drags at many points. the fights feel underwhelming and have even by ppg standards there's no threats. Like i loved primal, but this show feels like a first draft to something that could be better. Going from primal to this, to many characters....like people are saying its so good and deep with characters it just feels like a mess. And if i didn't know this was Genndys' show i would have just thought it was the same animation company and he didnt have anything to do with it. because it doesn't feel like a genndy show.
