சாப்பிட்டு விட்டு சங்கரன் கோவில் செல்ல ரயில் ஏறினேன்.ரயிலியே எனக்கு
வாந்தி! அந்த ஓட்டல் கடந்த
கால உணவுப் பக்குவத்தை
இழந்து விட்டது.சில வருடங்களாக அதன் தரமும்
சுவையும் குறைந்து விட்டது.
அவர்கள் இப்போது ஓட்டலைத்
தான் புதுப்பித்து இருக்கிறார்கள்
தரத்தில் கோட்டை விட்டு விட்டார்கள்!

விலை பட்டியல் சற்று கூடுதலாக தான் இருக்கிறது..ஆனாலும் பழமையான உணவகம் என்ற பெயர் இருக்கிறது
இந்த உணவகத்தில் என் நண்பன் பகுதி நேர ஊழியராக வேலை செய்து பட்டம் பெற்று பெரிய பணக்காரண வாழ் கிரான்

I tasted😋😋😋😋 all foods all are very taste💚💚💚💚💚💚💚 My favorite food is chilli parotta and rawa dosai and masala dosai pongal vadai poori masala⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ if you coming Madurai for trip and function. Come to this restaurant and order and taste the foods. These restaurant workers all are like a family member talking politely service is good. You did not never forgetted💐💐💐💐

40 வருடங்களுக்கு முன் மதுரைக்கு சிறு வயதில் என் பாட்டி தாத்தா வீட்டிற்கு முழு பரிட்சை லீவுக்கு வருடாவருடம் வரும்போது, (என் தாத்தா வீடு தெற்கு கோபுரத்திற்கு எதிரில் உள்ள வெள்ளி அம்பலத்தெரு. அங்கிருந்து மாடர்ன் ரெஸ்டாரன்ட் 400 அல்லது 500 மீட்டர் தான்) என் தாத்தா மற்றும் மாமா என்னை மாடர்ன் ரெஸ்டாரன்ட்க்கு சாயங்காலம் அழைத்துச் சென்று ரோஸ்ட் (சாம்பார்/சட்னி), பூரி கிழங்கு என்று வாங்கித்தருவார்கள். அதன் சுவை என் நாவில் இன்றும் நீங்காமல் உள்ளது. அடுத்த முறை மதுரை செல்லும் போது கட்டாயம் இங்கு போய் சாப்பிட வேண்டும். பழைய நினைவுகளை நினைவு படுத்திய இந்த வீடியோவை பதிவிட்டதற்கு நன்றி!!!
Very happy to see the younger generation maintains traditions with modernity in this Modern Restaurant. This is a model restaurant and one can learn management techniques better than in modern 5 star hotels whose life span is less than 50 years. Keep it up Ashwath. God Bless
நான் சிறுவனாக இருக்கும்போது இருந்து என்னுடைய அப்பா அழைத்து வந்து என்னை மாடர்ன் ரெஸ்ட்டாரண்ட் ல் சாப்பாடு டிபன் எல்லாம் சாப்பிட வைப்பதில் அவருக்கு அளவற்ற சந்தோஷம் .எங்களுக்கும் தான். என் திருமணத்திற்கு முகூர்த்த புடவை எடுக்க பெண் வீட்டாரை இங்கே தான் மதிய உணவு அழைத்துச் சென்று சாப்பிட செய்தோம். என் மனைவியின் தாய் தகப்பனார் அவர்களின் உறவினர்களும் மிகவும் பாராட்டினார்கள். இப்போது என் வயது 63 வருடம் ஆகும். நன்றி ! சத்தியமூர்த்தி....

When ever we went to Meenakshi Amman temple with family, we ate dinner at modern restaurant.onion rava dhoosa and filter coffee. Morning pongal is good there till now.

My name is Bhaskar. Native is Madurai. Settled in Tirupur. When we go to Madurai, we will take Tiffin and Meals with our family at Modern Restaurant only. Very good hotel. All the food are very tasty and homely. In recently the taste are slightly different from previous. Specially Pongal taste is changed. Previously it was super. Meals is super. It is like amma samayal. We are going to this restaurant from 1980.
Great place to eat in Madurai. It’s almost an institution and has been there forever. I’ve been long gone from Madurai and India for decades now but having grown up in the city, I’ve eaten there many, many times. Real old school place in Madurai.
Yes I when ever went to Meenakshi Amman Kovil East Gopuram side I ate in this Hotel mostly Morning Breakfast.. Cheap Quality too ..My native is Madurai now migrated to Chennai I even ate @ Hotel Madurai Railway Stn too 31.8.2020 16.00 Hrs MAA TN 🇮🇳

Their pongal & Coffee would be excellent....in 90s they used to serve "Paal Poli" during evenings...excellent sweet...my dad's usual evening snack place...paal poli + bonda + coffee....i don't know why they stopped that "Paal Poli" :(
