Oh nice! I was going to make a few tool holders with shadow foam for my workshops french cleat walls but didn't even consider the IKEA frames! Nice little hack I might use thanks! :)
Do let us know if this is the route you'd take, would love to see your build 👍
Copying this 100% such a good idea
Should have left a gap between the two runs - if you want to take a bottom panel out at the moment, you also have to take out a top panel first….. with a gap they’re independent
We just wanted the rows to look flush together, thought a gap in-between would look a bit ugly, but totally get what your saying. 👍
Yes we have appearance over function, which is the way things normally go.
love it
Cheers Michael, up for giving it a go at home?
@@ShadowFoam no , building up the courage to do my pelican case
Let us know when you find that courage, would love to see how it turns out
Looks great. Going to do something like this on my garage doors. newly subscribe and just bought a demo pack to see if will acuall work out. As this is on my garage doors, which gets hot, will this be okay to do?
Shadow Foam stands up to heat very well, it's heat bound foam instead of glue, which means it stays dense through heat.
@@ShadowFoam Nice. Thanks for the reply. Will be looking to order some panel very soon.
Sewing pins with the ball heads are a good way to hold templates down for me
Great idea! We did another project this week and we used temporary spray mount glue to hold a logo in place but pins is a great shout! We will definitely try that next time 👏😃
This! The larger tool wall gave me anxiety, what if you pick up a new tool, if one broke and the new model is a different size? Now you won’t have to redo a whole wall to make reorganize or replace tools of different sizes.
Exactly! different strokes for different folks, but Shadow Foam is perfect for any and all uses!
Love your channel guys. Just discoved you.

This is an amazing project. As far as the frame, remove the glass and replace the cardboard backing with 9mm or in the US 1/2 in plywood.
That's a good idea!
Nice. And with the money you saved doing it yourself, maybe you could buy yourself a set of freakin' SAFETY GLASSES!
That's the plan 👌
