- Phase Zero is back and we have some huge news about Spider-Man 4 in the MCU and Tom Holland's involvement...we have some MAJOR new marvel easter eggs from the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer that just dropped, and a massive new review of X-Men '97 Episode 7 as Rogue goes looking for some revenger for Gambit and Magneto!

X-Men thoughts:
-Rogue got programmed to kill Trask when she touched Gyrich's mind and got that flash of Bastian/Nimrod, since it both tied him up as a loose end and activated him as a Prime Sentinel. We shall see if there's any other programming lingering in the episodes to come.
-Yellow eyed rat is Mystique, which finally brought me around fully to the "Mystique is Val" theory camp.
-Gambit est mort, mes amis. 😭
-"Tolerance" is extinction. OZT, hiding in plain sight!
-i found Bastian an ultimately lackluster villain in the comics, and sort of represents a lot of my least favorite aspects of that era of X-Men...so the fact that they've made him so compelling to me in just three short scenes of screen time is REALLY telling to just how hot they're cooking!
-Connectivity for at least the animated MCU, they used the same voice actors for Cap and Ross as in What If...?!

This is the one film where Madysin is damn near required to show up loosely practicing the mystic arts with equal commitment to a book and a margarita, in Wong's bedroom, unbeknownst to him.
To be fair, Ned is a genius and Strange just went to medical school
New Rockstars theorised that deadpool may not be set in the void. They think it could be set in an universe that has been through an incursion & it made sense to me 🤷🏾♂️
Bit of a limb but what if we get Cassandra Nova as a clone of Xavier? Would be a little more grounded way to bring her into the story and build on the Madelyne storyline.
Edit: Bastion's plan then is to make a mutant/sentinel hybrid with Magneto. It fails, probably because of Xavier. Bastion or Sinister try to make a clone-mutant/maybe sentinel hybrid of Xavier and call it Cassandra, just to retcon and set precedent (like with Ms. Marvel) for what's to come in Deadpool. That also fails, probably because of Magneto, and leads to the creation of Onslaught. And only part of that happening this season, the Onslaught of it all over the next 1-2.
Alternately, I could see CN in Deadpool just being a variant of Charles per the Loki series rules.
