@@patriciamoldovan3092 I live in Golden Gate Estates in Naples and all the canals are loaded with this plant (ROTALA INDICIA). It grows like mad in a tank too. Light doesn't seem to be an issue. I pull it straight from the canal with roots. It starts growing within a day!

Thanks for the info, just got my first rotala. I appreciate the tip about trimming it to create bushy plants.

Have indica in a couple of my aquariums. In one of them, it basically won’t do anything at all but in the other one, it’s forming a nice little forest area

Thanks! I was actually looking for info on how to plant it - like how to take it out of that little planter you’re holding, if I should pull it all apart, etc.

Rotala is second most weediest based on my experience. It's elodea that took the cake for me.

Please do a video series of plants for foreground, midground and background plants that don’t require CO2. That would be greatly appreciated. I am a complete newb but hoping to do a 10 gallon and a 55 gallon tank aquascape.

I'm growing Rotala Walichii in plain gravel with medium lighting and it's doing great and retaining much of the pink coloration. As it is fast growing, I've been able to propagate it throughout the aquarium. The only trouble is that it collects bits of uneaten food and hair algea has begun to grow. The fish love swimming through its bristles. So far it's my favorite stem plant. Thanks for the info. I'll try rotala indica eventually.

I'm trying to figure out what this plant is specifically doing to my water, I'm struggling to find information about the exact science of this plant, what it takes out of the water, and what it puts back into it, do you have any source of information regarding this?

I have Rotala in my tank, I trying to grow a dutch tank but my Rotala is growing outwards not upwards, I have co2 and I dose seachem fertz everyday, I have 2 fluval 3.0 lights and I am wondering if its because the lights are too bright...which I have my blues set to 3% my reds are at 80% , cold whites are 100% and pure whites are at 100% and orange at 20%
