  • Rotala rotundifolia is in Tropica’s Easy category and is supplied in pots, self-service pots, and mini pots. It doesn’t require strong lighting or CO2 injection to grow but these will give the best results. The stronger the lighting the more colouration the leaves will show. Only with intense light will the leaves turn pink/red.

Yes this is an easy plant an it grows like my weeds in the back yard. That's why I have this all across the back of 6 feet of tank and I haven't killed it yet. Yeah 🌿👍🌿👍🌿👍😄

Hey! How fast do Rotalas switch to their submersed growth, when planted in an aquarium?

Has Tropica considered using something other than rockwool? While it is made of natural materials, it doesn't degrade.

We are indeed experimenting with different solutions; our 1-2 grow range tropica.com/en/plants/1-2-grow/ and the mini pots tropica.com/en/plants/minipots-in-blister/ are some of the alternatives

Hi Abdulla. It depends on how it develops in your tank and what you'd like to achieve.

Hi, not quite sure; hobbyists might often come up with different names for their sub cultures. It might be a totally different type of rotala; check out our plant list on tropica.com
