Got a Sparta E-Bike... This is interesting... hope to see more!
Awesome, I just picked up a cheap Koga with the danger Sparta motor and screen. I'll definitely do this. Thanks for the clear instructions
Did you manage to get it back running? I also have a Koga E-runner, battery not for sale anymore. Would like to get it back running.
@@wouterk2170 I gave that bike away some time back, but it worked yes.
you can also press down on the axle from the other side when the freewheel is removed, it is a way faster way to remove the hub motor.
Thank you very much for the video and your great work!
Thank you for the informative video!
Thanks a lot for the information. Is it possible to complete the last stage of connecting the wires because I did not understand the sequel
A BIG thumb up very helpfull thank you
Thank You Master. I only extend 3 wires from coils and put there universal steering from Aliex 18-55V 30A overheating all but since no gear in electric motor nothing to break ( killed giant and 8fun motor internal gear with full PWM 29,4V ). And back engine will not break my front suspension - since engine also breaks after connection coils to 24V 600W G6,35 super small halogen - a break that breaks and is not broken for 1000hrs + .
very nice video
Hallo David, welke controller gebruik je voor.
Thanks for your boss. Just When we get this result with whom we will connect these lines 3 and 5
hello u did not say what the 3 wires under the white goop on the axle where and with out nowing removed them can i just solder wires on them to make it work or are they not important?
Hello!! i want to do the same Preparing like you!! but i want to use an external Pedal Hall Sensor!!! any Idea how to do!! I mean you using the 3. Motorcable, and all other Sensors extern !
Hello ,wirte what conontroller you use for this engine bacause it does not work on sine.tell me what little white piug is for whatyou re showing itto
Hello grat video! But one question, how You convert pass sensor, ion system have 4 wires .How You conect it to kt controller??
David, what for motor controller?
I have Error 07
Do you have a link?
Hi there - I just bought a Sparta ebike. The hubs are noisy. They say it was sat for a while. Would this stop the noise? Is there an easier thing to attempt - like is there somewhere I can feed oil into the hub? What oil should I use? Thank you for any advice!
Hi . Witch controller (model ) have you used? could you give some links ? thank you
Hallo.
useful.... danke schon.
Hi. Do you know what are the contact voltage outputs on these bikes with older NiMh battery. 24V. What pin is what voltage? I replaced one battery with li-ion but there is a strange charger controller inside and now connected to li-ion I do not have all cables live. But I am sure they were with NiMh cells. So I would like to reconnect it all to BMS if they are all 24V. I don't know if some of them is 5V or 12V for lights or something like that. The battery has 6 pins. It say ion technology on it, even it's not li-ion. tnx
How did you get the broken screw out?( green fase wire)
I have 2 broken screws on 1 side of the wheel😢
I must do the other side to bit the screws are so tight 😮
What happens if you put 36v generic battey to the plus and minus of the hub?
Hallo David. Thank you for your fine video's. I made my own.The batterypack is working fine. I bought the same controller you did: S6-61. The hallsensor connector has 6 wires, witch one did you leave out? ( 5 outcomming from the wheel). The controller gives a error: 7, The wheel spins on pass 1 and higher, the throttel does not work. Do you have any suggestions?
I fixed the 07 error (motor) by using the learning wires and switch the support to full. I used a G51 but it looks quite similar.
Two wires are power supply to the hall, and 3 are from the 3 sensors. I left the middle one out on top. 1 black, 2 -, 3 brown, 4 blue, 5 green, 6 yellow. Did you manage?
Thanks for your answer. The controller gives still error 07, but the bike runs. +/_ 32 km/h on the throtle. The battery is fantastic. Last long. Thanks for the design of the battery house.
Goede uitleg, bedankt!
Nee
What size wire did you use for the 3 phase wires - its a struggle to get the original size wires + 5 hall sensor wires + heat shrink sleeve, through the slot/hole on the axle? Hw many amps flow through the power wires? Thanks
Hi, the 3 phases wire have to be min .75mm/sqr with this dimmensions is more than enough.
@@Davideljeringa hello
Hi please help me i have a Sparta m ion Gear it doesn't show batterie % and when i press the speed assistant mode to select the mode it stay few seconds and then back to the off position automatically without working how can i fix it ? The battery have 24 v but it's doesn't take a charge directly from the charger and the battery was open before i think the problem in the pcb bord of the battery how can i fix it?
can you give a link for where to buy a harness for the motor. Thanks so much for this video series.
Which controller are hou using and which battery
In my Sparta ION GLS+ rear wheel hub motor can remove only 1 cover (cable side). As remove the 2 round printed boards I have only a 5 wires connector coming from underneath (Hall sensors I suppose?): the other 3 cables are gone with the printed boards so nothing to connect the motor!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
How did you get al those wires past the axle hole? Its way to narrow at my toptun motor to fit in 5 additional sensor wires
You can use lan cable wires
They are very thin
It worked for me
Thanx i eventually managed by putting some grease on the wires
should I remove the cover from the other side as well????
You don't need to if the entire motor comes out but if it snaps back like at 13:08 you must open it from the other side
Isn't there a brake sensor in that rear wheel?
No. It's torque sensor, and 3 hall sensors.
Hallo, what are the three thin wires ( others then the phase thick wires) in the axis of the wheel, what do we with?
Hi, finnaly I did nothing with them, just don´t touch it, is not really needed.
Regards.
@@Davideljeringa Thank s for your reply! I redid my bike Sparta energy inside in this way, but it does not respond to the externe PAS sensor, the motor rushes constantly without a pedal !! where could the problem be? in the controller or PAS sensor?
these wires are from the torque sensor which is built in the rear axle! (this is wye the original bike has no external sensor)
Can I use the torque sensor as for example a replacement for a normal pas sensor?
I mean to just connect it to the bike's controller.
Ok I just rewatched it an it doesn't work
But how did the original controller know when you where pedaling
I have same problem can you please help me ?
On our market i finde out same motor already rebuilded for common controller . But seller claim that it can handle 500W . If connect to 48V battery and 48V500W controller . What you think ? Can it be truth ? Can this motor work with 48V 500W controller without overheating? thanks a lot!
Did you succeed?

Please how to gonna remove this brings
Hi. I am your youtube subscriber. I watched your videos about altering the battery. I have a bike similar to yours. I bought it with a bad battery and want to check the motor. How can this be done without a multimeter?
Simple check is to disconnect the phase wiring. Then rotate the wheel. If you connect any 2 wires together, the motor works as a generator, and there is a current flowing. The torque needed for this will slow the wheel down which you can notice easily. So you can test if current can flow through the three phases of the motor.

Why was impossible connect the PAS ssystem?(
The bike already comes with a pas sensor but this motor is different cause it uses the bike chain to look if your turning the paddles
@@miles5600 i just buy controller and pass from Alliexpres and was successful for remake
I would like to ask you about sensor
Is it important or not to connect
I have the same ebike und i did as you did but when i connected the sensor didn't work but without sensor it works
Thanks
Hi, it depend of the motor controller you use, in some of them it is mandatory to use and in others as you mentioned it doesn´t work. If you provide more information about the motor controller you use may be I can help you more.
Thanks.
DJ.
Hello, does the motor support 36v?
Yes i made it run with a 36v batterry and controller.

22:07
Correction not our .I mean with out sensors
What is the max amps this motor can take? Does it survive to 50A? 75A?
No these motors are made for 25 to 35 km/h so 50A is a little too much use 30 it’ll take that
@@miles5600This motors are rated at 24V 250W. So if not overvolted they'll run at about 11A. If overvolted they overheating quick, damaging magnets and burning coils
I have gray white and brown
This is nice, but you lose the torque sensor making this bike actually illegal.
Nice vid....but i dont understand very little you are saying...
What battery 36v 48v 52v ???? Ah 13 17 or 20 Ah thank you .. can you just connect any battery ???
Did someone tested if it lasts working on 36v?
I try with 48v 80kmh on display hahaha
three wires, these are not PAS wires, this is not pedaling😂😂😂
Kann Mann auf deutsche Sprache
Hey. You also fix battery 🔋 for a living? I hear you live in Holland
