Eu era um jovem de 16 anos em 1992. Estava na Escola de Aprendizes Marinheiros, aprendendo a ser homem e me virar sozinho, as noites frias e solitárias era o som do The Smiths que me confortavam.
There was a british tv show around 1988...Was about gangs in England, all of them had that kind of haircut and always fought with skinheads. Morissey is such a talent, don't know if there would be another like him.
Ahhhhhh..... memories 1994-95 me and my buds in high school dressed the same way....the pomps/quiffs, leather jackets and Harley Boots listening to Moz and rockabilly tunes!!! So nostalgic watching this! Cheers everyone!
Thank you so much for this upload! I loved to watch this performance from time to time but a few years ago the original (more or less) video got deleted which was really sad since i couldn't find it anymore. Alas, here it is again!
god how much did I love The Smiths in the 80,s and still love them today, I was devastated when they split but Morrissey went solo and his first 2 albums gave me hope there was life after The Smiths, diehard Morrissey fans will never agree but he has never produced anything decent since the early 90,s. nevertheless I still continue to purchase everything he does in vain hope my teenage hero will one day create amazing records again but to be honest "IM TRULY TRULY DISSAPOINTED" time after time, maybe its impossible for Moz to live up to his fantastic past , it kills me to admit he just hasn't got it any more, fortunately we have youtube to bring back the good old days , watching Mozza live singing and swaying will never be forgotten, "THERE IS A LIGHT THAT NEVER GOES OUT" but it will never burn as bright as it once did.Never did I ever think id criticise my hero but there ive finally said it and im not proud of it at all. CMON BIGMOUTH PLEASE STRIKE AGAIN and prove me wrong .
Could say the same for Billy Bragg and Paul Weller...as Sick Boy so rightly said: Sick Boy: It's certainly a phenomenon in all walks of life. Mark: What do you mean? Sick Boy: Well, at one time, you've got it, and then you lose it, and it's gone forever. All walks of life: George Best, for example. Had it, lost it. Or David Bowie, or Lou Reed. Mark: Lou Reed, some of his solo stuff's not bad. Sick Boy: No, it's not bad, but it's not great either. And in your heart you kind of know that although it sounds all right, it's actually just shite. Mark: So who else? Sick Boy: Charlie Nicholas, David Niven, Malcolm McLaren, Elvis Presley . . .
I have this recorded on VHS when it first aired, it was from either Saturday Night Live or one of the late night shows here in America, I believe "you're the one for me fatty" was also played, I watch the VHS from time to time because I have a bunch of performances from a lot of the late night talk shows 👍
Viva Morrissey.... and hemmm Famous when dead unfortunately. By the National British/International press. As they clearly cannot understand Living Genius. Morrissey will, and for ever last forever. Forever revised and ever rediscovered. ❤
This is the best performance live of Suedehead!
I watch this year after year....couldn't agree more.
Wolverhampton is better imo.
@@fightsforrights9744 nice choice, too.
@@antonioeisadora I remember seeing this live on Saturday night live when i was in the 11th grade.
Teu cu
the guitar work on this is crazy
Rockabilly.❤
You know it's a great song when the whole band starts dancing like that.
Yeah, but *nobody* dances better than Morrissey and Johnny Marr during the bass solo of Barbarism Begins at Home!
I was listen and moving about then read your comment. You can’t help but move to this…
That voice. Solid gold.
May this image of Morrissey (and band) be forever imprinted in my mind.
That guitar riff is iconic.
ain't it though.....Whoa!
I always wondered how this song was written by Moz's band because I think it is the closest Marr styled song that isn't a song by The Smiths.
@@BryanDrewIt was written by Stephen Street to sound like a Smiths song because it was Morrissey's very first solo single after the Smiths split.
This is probably my favorite version of this song, mostly because of the distortion on the lead guitar.
Rhythm guitar you mean
Mostly because of the golden shirt
Post punk guitar
Amen. It rocks.
Agreed
1992 The year when Your Arsenal was released, loved the album.
Your Arsenal is amazing! One of so many gems in his catalog
Almost 30 years has passed since this performance.. still relevant as ever
yes, it truly is
the '80 Elvis!
The best Morrissey band ever! Boorer, White on guitars, Gary Day on bass, Cobrin on drums
All rockabilly men
Damn, did that sound good live.
Boz Boorer and Alain Whyte create a fabulous thin cutting sound which the warmth of morrisseys vocal lifts to perfection.
Super Clean Performance!
Morrissey never leaves a note in the air..if you know what I mean.
La mejor version en vivo de morrissey que se haya visto

Bela memória!
That's very touching 🙏🇨🇮🇬🇧🇪🇺
El mejor cantante que jamás haya escuchado y de joven estaba en otro nivel 🤔
Me alegro mucho de leer comentarios así en castellano
He's every bit as good in 2023 just in a different way. His voice is even better now.❤
I’ll take this over the studio version any day. I don’t know if it’s the tuning or what, but the opening guitar hits harder.
I saw Morrissey in 1993. It was incredible!
Increíble versión 🔝🔝🔝🔝
Great performance. And the band is amazing.
Wicked stinging guitar by Boz.
Moz very beautiful man. So much love him.
Omg I always loved this song and now seeing it performed live sounds better than studio. I can't believe it 🤯
Que saudade de uma época que eu sequer vivi 🥺🥺 boa música faz a gente viajar no tempo
❤
Best band lineup.
Spine-tingling. Every single time.
Melhor versão desta canção.🎉

Fairplay Moz! If I also had that shiny stitch, I wouldn't fancy going out tonight as well.

Dav G I will definitely agree that 1988-1992 was Morrissey’s best stuff

FoobsTon Paul Weller has had some great tracks in the past 5 years to be fair
You’re thinking too much 🙂
Que canção maneira! 👏👏👏
Wow que belleza 😮❤
Brings me to tears! ❤
Alain Whyte and Boz Boorer ripping it up while Moz croons. Doesn't get much better than that.
Deluxe version👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Oltre la canzone stupenda... ma anche lui che gran figo😍
Sexy man!
Best version 🖤☠️🖤
Morrissey and his best band, on fire. Superb
The best lineup plus Gary. ❤❤❤❤
The best band other than The Smiths. I miss this band lineup
Legends
Moz best band line up
Loved the rockabilly feel to it all
The world was a better place then ❤️
Amo The Smith, Amo a voz do Morrissey!
Uma viagem no tempo
Brilliant this…Johnny Marr had gone on to join my best friend Andy’s brothers band. Thethe. Always wondered if the Smiths would reform.
Great!

love the girl with slong in her moouth
This is the... "Arsenalised" version of Suedehead: a Must!! (Because we...) ❤️ 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I can see where Jim Carrey possibly got his influence when singing in his movies. Excellent.
Essa música é muito loca
What a line up, fantastic musicians - much better than the studio version
Yes , I like this version too, but the bass line by Andy Hourke is the best.
The background vocals....
even with two guitars he can't replace Johnny Marr
tbf guitars sound fire mate
Sonzaço. 👏👏👏
Wooowww 👋🏼👋🏼
Muy bueno
Ah ! Boz and his rockabilly influences
Woowwww
