This is a rare recording of Dusty performing the Bacharach & David song in a BBC studio for the radio programme 'Top Gear' in 1964. This never made it onto the 'Complete BBC Sessions' cd released in 2007

Is that Dino Butterworth on drums?
I love Clapton & Frampton is a legend too but I always think of George Harrison when I hear this song!
Frampton murdered the song!
Love them!!!
The best 4 minute song ever. As close to perfection as possible to get Thank you Gordon .
Don't feel too bad EC, I believe your friend & mine, George took something too? The opening of "It Don't Come Easy"
eric clapton is a rock god who if unknown, can remain so unknown that if someone asks so, what did you work as ? he would just morph back into a rock deity
Dedicate this to my mum. I don’t know where we went wrong but the feelings gone and I just can’t get it back. #RIP Mum May you find in the next world what life in this world seemed to deny you.
Classic. Melodic. Pure.
Simply terrific❤
Great Peter....still good singing voice. Love it. Thank you. 06/24
I think Olivia Newton John sang a cover version of this song.
Alan Murphy on guitar 🎸 one of the nicest tones I've ever heard 😄
WOOOOW!!! Just WOOOOOW!!!
His voice gets to me every time. 😢
I also remember watching the original in 1972. I think I may have recorded it by placing my newly acquired cassette player next to the TV. More than 50 years later, I still find this song and many of his others, extraordinary. Thanks for posting.
Well done Dom Jolly for bringing this great song to attention
What a masterpiece and what a master of performer. I try to cover it and stay far behind this.
George asked Eric to play on this song in part because he knew John and Paul would up their game with Eric in the studio.
Dejan pequeños a los Beatles 😮
Genial❤❤
Em algumas vertentes da arte , não da para melhorar uma obra , porém em outras há sempre como se fazer melhor . Amo Beatles nessa canção de resto.....
Rice Krispies . . . that's what your LP's will sound like in ten years... snap... crackle... pop.
Can we get Later it's own channel? Just magic.
One of the most beautiful songs ever…I remember as a teenager when it came over the radio. I’m 71 now…and it’s still beautiful and makes me remember being young.
Right combination ❤
Peter is still a good looking man🥰
oh so beautiful, love this sound
Hello, how are you today? Nice to meet you here.
Petey be gettin biz e😮
One of my late Dads favourite songs. It’s mine too now ❤❤❤
Alan ❤
One of the best Canadian musicians that ever lived .. RIP Gordie 😌
Why on earth did they pick parklife? Blur have so many better songs
Fifty odd years ago….still total class!
This cannot be topped. Master class performance from every musician on stage.
Y'know, when even Eric Clapton (Guitar GOD himself), stands back and watches another's performance, you KNOW it is the best-of-the-best playing alongside... Frampton has taken George Harrison's iconic song to more new audiences than any other Beatle's song in history. When I hear almost ANY version of this song, I compare it to Frampton's... Is that wrong?
The Stones and Eric Clapton are the best of rock and blues together. This is just a phenomenal performance 🎉🎉. This experience is truly priceless. I'm loving this so much. I know now why I love the blues and rock so freaking much.
Simply fantastic, two big artists on stage.👍👏
É o máximo para mim!
I've begun to appreciate this song more & more now.
What an amazing performance with Eric Clapton! Class and good music never gets old, just gets better! 🙏
What a lovely collaboration! I'm going to melt in beautiful harmony. Just once, I'd like to sit next to Eric and listen to he play, …it's just my wish list, though. I'm sorry I wrote a weird comment.
This song gives me goosebumps. I've seen Gordon Lightfoot perform 3 times and when he sang this song, it killed me softly.
EricClapton👑🎸🎶
awesome
Chris Pratt, Bryan Cranston and Bill Nighy should make his biopic…time is running out…I love his songs.
Greatest song from harrison... clapton was d original guitarist when harrison compose this greatest hit.. best of friends they are...
i was there for this... it was great... and from what i remember, the first time the 2 have played this together live
Still got it, and handsome too
So simple yet such a hauntingly beautiful and well constructed song. Timeless! Thank you, Gordon!
