  • These are my first impressions of the Wallke H6 Max, folding, long range, full suspension eBike after a few rides. There are some great reviews out there already covering range and specs. Namely the great video by Kyle at Area 13. So, in this video I try to point out details and improvements made from the previous model. I'm waiting for the second battery to arrive so I can fully test it's ability. Many more videos to come on this Beast of an Ebike!
    Stay tuned for more fun stuff! I've been using the Xnito Helmet for a while now and will be doing an update soon. Spoiler...I really like it! Will be doing more content on the H6 Step ST and New X3 Pro too. Cheers and Thanks for watching!

    Ordered the H6 Max with the H6 Dual Battery Kit as a Black Friday Deal, code gave $400 off.
    Needed a long range Ebike for collection.
    Not sure if the Battery Kit will arrive with the bike or not, but either way, 40 Ah is a great start.
    Edit: Battery kit arrived separately. Wallke has a video on installation, which I followed and was NOT difficult to install.

      Yeah when I got the first generation H6 it only came with the 20ah and I rode it like that for weeks before pulling the trigger on the second battery. I only ride 16-20 miles a day so battery capacity isn’t a concern. Gonna be super cool to have them both going tho.

    Swapped the freewheel with a DRIFT MANIAC 7 Speed Freewheel 11-34T from Ailexpress. $20 or $28 with tool. Had to remove the shim behind the original gear. It works OK. Its not perfect in first gear but I think second gear is my new normal first gear. Granny first gear if needed. The chain is super close to rubbing on the tire but it clears. What I really wanted it for is the 11 tooth 7th! What a improvement over the stock 14 tooth. Time will tell on how long it lasts. I'm going to run it like that for a while before I decide if I want a 58T crank gear.

    I have been using Tannus Armour on my e-bike (26x1.95-2.5) off and on for about 3 years. Either someone at work is puncturing my tires or these inserts are a gimmick.
    They don't stop punctures and they capture/incapsulate small sharp particulates only to work their way to puncture the tube in the future. I wanted to like them, but they just don't seem to work in my experience. Really e-bikes just need thicker tires.

      Yeah they’re for from perfect. They help with goatheads tho. That’s our problem around here. Plus the ride quality is better. And the newer tires coming on these bikes are even worse! A good thick heavy tire is really the best solution.

      I live in a Northwest valley that is plagued by goatheads. Vicious little thorns that are every where. Beautiful valley but those thorns … ugh. That’s why I’m such a huge fan of the Tannus products. I swear they make the ride better too.

    • @TheE-LightenedArtist
      @TheE-LightenedArtist  Před 8 měsíci

      Yeah unfortunately e-bike companies are at the mercy of vendors for electrical components. This is why I think the practice of “presales” is a problem. If the vendors send the wrong or faulty units, company has to put the bikes out anyway because they presold them and had a deadline. So the next run of bikes will have the correct units but the folks who got them early got bad ones. Fortunately you can contact Wallke and they’ll rectify it. I’m hearing about folks who are getting new units sent to them. I don’t work for the company and this is all just my observational theory but I can see how their “rush to market” can cause problems like this. In the future I won’t be recommending “early bird” specials. Now I realize that it’s bad practice. Seems like a good deal but they should wait until the all the components are assembled and quality tested before advertising them when they’re dependent on vendors to supply the components. Just my two cents….

      @TheE-LightenedArtist  Před 5 měsíci +1

      That day I rode the green belt on pas 1 I went 10 miles and the bike was still at 100% when I got to the truck. On my commute to work ( pas5 full speed 16 miles) it uses about 20%. On pretty much any bike. Expect to average 15 miles per 10ah of battery. Give or take for terrain weather and weight. The meter will show a much larger drain at first and during the ride. But after the bike has been off and the components allowed to cool, the meter will recalibrate when the bike is turned back on showing actual battery life. This is expected on most all e-bikes.

    • @TheE-LightenedArtist
      @TheE-LightenedArtist  Před 6 měsíci

      Yeah I need to get on that. I've been messing with my old bikes a lot while the weather is poor. I may actually pull all the components from my old H6 and stick em on the Max. Crankset mainly. That would really put this bike over the top. One of my buds did a freewheel swap and encountered some difficulty. He ended up having to disassemble the motor. I'm hoping that I can drill out a freewheel tool to get over the large diameter axle to avoid that headache.

  • @steveg3885
    @steveg3885 Před 8 měsíci +1

    I wish everyone would stop trusting speedometer on the bike and expose the exaggeration with using Google Maps speedometer. This bike only goes 30miles/hr. I was disappointed to find out that bike marks a faster speed than Google maps. The lack of turning signals is a down grade to the H6 S. Connection to my phone is useless since I use android. And as food deliver, I'D only got 35 miles range with pedal assist since it's setup to pull a lot of power from the 40AH. battery.
    I Estimate another 15miles with the 20AH battery to a a 60AH ride.
    Thanks for sharing your vid.

    • @TheE-LightenedArtist
      @TheE-LightenedArtist  Před 8 měsíci +2

      I use a speedo app for the most part. If you look close when I go through the settings I have the wheel size set to 22” which gives you a more accurate reading. Still a little over but pretty close. If the bikes speedo reads 34. The app reads 33. So it’s still a mile over. The way I ride I only get about 40 miles range with the one battery. Bigger motor eats the bigger battery so it;s a trade off. This bike suffers greatly from the gearing. A freewheel upgrade and second battery are an absolute must.

    • @TheE-LightenedArtist
      @TheE-LightenedArtist  Před 8 měsíci +2

      And yeah it’s lame thing about e-bikes. They always have inaccurate speedos. Fat tire bikes are the worst because the tire diameter can vary so much depending on tire pressure and your weight but still. Always scratched me head about that one. Seems like it’s all of them too. Idk….
