It's really noticeable how you guys stepped up the videoquality of your reviews recently, I mean seriously DAMN! probably the best out there in terms of overall quality and of course Thomas is alway the best!
60 FPS makes a big difference.
@@ohroonoko I always prefer higher fps instead of 30 or crappy 24, but in this case it’s not just fps
@@dr-ok3sn yes it’s also a quality lens plus depth of field. Gives a blurry background, a more cinematic quality.
I really like it how you respect the cars you review. Taking off your shoes while using the foot rest etc, not slamming stowage areas, or throwing vehicle components out of the vehicle like Matt Watson does, really makes me cringe!

Cars should serve you, not the other way around. Car needs to respect you, the owner, and offer you practicality, quality and comfort generally speaking. He never really throws components out the vehicle other than tha trunk cover which is fun and nothing happens to them, they are made to be detachable / removable afterall.

A German Car review on your channel is absolutely marvelous.
I just bought a '21 Audi A8L V8. I found it leagues above the competition. The S is luxurious, absolutely. However, the Audi is fierce in its look, while being humble. The S shoved a screen in my face, sides, whole body whereas this was elegant. I have the ambience of the interior lighting, a wireless control pad for passengers to turn on their massages and put the blinds up/down. It's true luxury. I drive it as a daily, just myself. The rear is just the immense bonus that impresses literally everyone that has ever rode with me. I can press it in dynamic, and have V8 power for 4.2 0-60's.
Man those wheels and. Audis new lighting OLED signature, can’t wait for them to filter down to the more affordable Audis
They're already there on the A4, A5 and Q5 facelifts.
Audi is a leader in automotive lighting
If they just remove the headlights; they could expand the grill a bit more
They should do what modern phones are doing.. less bezel more screen with the camera as a punch-hole in the screen: make the headlights tiny punch-holes in the grill and make the grill fill the entire front end of the car. Only grill, no bumper 😂

I like how they made the front look more angular and aggressive now. I always thought that the pre-facelift model looked a little too rounded in the front. It looks great now.

The person who designed this presentation room must be locked in it for around two weeks. It does not really help to see the car in its fullest....at least on camera. (No wonder the camera had focusing issues) Maybe it was different in person. Anyway, 'Old school' Thomas thank you for the informative review as usual. :)

@@theanonymousone9668 if you try to open your fanboy eyes you will see that the headlights have the same shape as old A4's and A3's... For the humorless engineer in you I have to ruin everything now. Let me tell you a secret. Not a single person that liked my comment believes that those are A4 headlights, it's just a joke, a bit of sarcasm for the designer that got a paycheck for doing NOTHING but copying some existing lines from another Audi car.
@@dzekyybibixx that is a signature light shape that BMW used in the past for all of it's cars. Audi has just a huge grille on every car, not a signature light shape.

I'm a big fun of A8 among top limos, but One BIG criticism around engine line up with facelift! Why no 55TDI engine (stronger than 286KM) which is used in A6 range or Q5 series ? While S Class or BMW 7 has similar engine. Its a pity...as there is a gap for EU customers :-/

What camera do you use? This looks so good!
The people behind touch interfaces should be forced to go out and use the cars in -30C. Of course with a lot of settings "wrong". And no pre-heater set. Followed by a long drive without being allowed to stop for changing of clothes!

I liked it back when Audi put smaller grilles on their cars. Even though the newer cars are vastly superior vehicles...
The dashboards where also nicer before, now it's all shiny plastics everywhere

I very much enjoyed the presentation. This car is definitely worthy of consideration for anyone looking for the highest standards in automotive quality. Personally, though, I can do without all the _spa_ functions and most the onboard entertainment ones as well. No car of mine will ever need to be more than just that: a good car.

Wish they gave up on all the shinny plastic bits, especially on the dash, can’t even imagine buying this thing and constantly seeing dust and fingerprints accumulating, also scratches from trying to rub those, ugh

Just curious. Does the passenger seat obstruct the driver's view of the passenger's side mirror when it's fully moved forward? Nonetheless, quite an impeccable ride.
I think it's equipped with blindview monitors onto the digital cluster. It's a Hyundai innovation that must be now copied by premium by now

I have a tip/request for you: could you tell us how, and if you can look freely out of the front window, underneath the rear view mirror(!) without bending your head …? This is actually very important for tall drivers. This, hight of the rear view mirror, is mich more important than the distance from the top of our heads to the roof distance, for tall people. It’s also a important safety box to tick off. The rear view mirror is a dangerous blind spot creator for us, tall ones. Tall people are not really an thought when manufacturers are making their cars, is my experience. We have a lot to win here. Thank you Thomas, keep up the great AUTOGEFÜHL my friend! Try the Lexus minivan, esp the 4 seaters, if you have a way to, as not sold outside Asia.
Great. But don't wear a jacket when inside the car. It makes you look cold and uncomfortable. In a luxury car you want to look warm and comfortable like you would at home.

It's still a handsome car, but I'm not over keen on the huge grilles that are the fashion now -- not as bad as BMWs, though.

I'm a huge audi enthusiast but this new headlights remind me too much on the a3 and a4, it looks now like it has less prestige for me.

I guess it's the same we've seen before. Real shame again on the leather, it really pollutes the environment during production too. The business style tables as on high speed rail or airliners is actually a good feature I hope to see again, but I think the most people who'd use it would be buying the A4 or A6 :)
