whether the new a8 is better than the new s class ?
What is the fuel consumption?
Your voice,🔥🔥🔥
We need to petition for Thomas to bring back his famous moto! "Full HD, full length, let's go!" Please Thomas! 😄
Probably because they film it in 4k instead of 1080p, so that sounds a bit funny 🤣
Couldn’t agree more!
Please NO! Oh dear God I can not hear that stupid line one more time!!!
When did he say that? I'm new here and I wanna find it.
i watch 4K videos from 2015 on my 4K monitor...and i totally hate not 4K videos get outta here!
Years of watching driving reviews and this is the first time headlights were specifically reviewed at night. One of your best reviews. From the foot messaging to the spectacular interior and rare night driving headlight presentation - Thomas, you've outdone yourself. Nobody reviews as thoroughly as Autogefühl.

Great review.
Wow Thomas. I always double click my shoes to make sure they are cleaner before entering the car especially in winter and you did the same. Impressive 😊
=)
Same here. Not many do that. Its nice to see.
everybody does that

Beautiful footage work on this review.
Norway 💙
Ok this car has so much class and it’s so understated!! It makes it so exclusive.. like a beautiful ghost! I would definitely get this over an s-class.
Always nice reviews. Love the dark sky making the lights pop more and the scenery and for the car just love it. So much would like to sit in hte back with massage.
Willkommen in Norwegen Thomas. Refreshing to see a fleet of new German steel from Ingolstadt invading our shores.😆
Your landscape.. 🤤
Rename Audi to Blücher Automobile!
I toured the Audi facility in Ingolstadt and must say it was impressive.
Good to see a return to the +40 minute review, plz also bring back the introduction and music, and Lets Go!
Great review
Absolutely amazing car! Great video!
your review was so impressive❤❤❤❤
amazing shots and great review!
👌
Thomas work is always on a different level! Very well done reviews as expected from a top reviewer

I really enjoyed the review 👍

Danke, Thomas!
You never mentioned you had a getaway home in Norway! 😸
Excellent review.. beautiful road for this review!!
Glad you enjoyed it 🤗
Amazing work Thomas & Crew! The night time review was a very intimate look into this vehicle! Thanks for all your hard work and for continually keeping animals in your thoughts. 👍🙏🖤
thanks John !

I real enjoyed this review.. and the car is amazing 👏 😍
Great video yet again! How do you raise down exactly? 🤣 no wonder the A8 was confused 👋🏻
You can feel solidity, power, all-round reliability, luxury, efficiency and comfort just by looking at it.
The interior especially. You can feel it’s just going to be a safe and perfect cruiser. Lovely sedan indeed.
►All-new BMW 7-Series / BMW i7 driving review: czcams.com/video/fomjqyMrtAU/video.html
Good quality, awesome video
I agree the base A8 should be Luxurious not sporty. I love the new design very classy and elegant and better looking the the S and the 7.
Such a great review,great job 👍
👍
Norway is beautiful, I’m in awe of the background 👀
sure is !
With BMW styling going too radical(I dread what the next 7series will look like)and Mercedes-Benz making interiors like a nightclub,I think Audi might be Top Dog now!
Interior of the 7 series has been spy shotted it will look very similar like the iX i4
Best description of the Mercedes interior. They’ve gone crazy with the ambient lighting and it looks so tacky. To distract from the lack of real luxury they distract buyers with flashy lights and screens.
Mercedes S Class is by far the best looking design from interior and exterior wise. It doesn’t look like previous predecessors. I understand that this is a facelift but all Audi and BMW looks the same
Funny thing is that many people would disagree with you and the sclass will outsell both audi and 7
@@directlinkrexx4409 Which means nothing. A lot of people are attracted to bright lights and mistake all show for luxury and class. We live in a world where something as ugly as croc shoes sell, so people aren’t known for having the best taste lol.
Amazing review. Superb car! What kind of travel (back-)pack are you using? Next to your suitcase in the trunk
I love your driving videos.
Awesome review Thomas, however I have a request, I'm Abdul from Cape Town South Africa and love you to do an in depth review like this one, but of the Audi A8 60TDI VERSION PLEASE, IF POSSIBLE.
Loved my 2013 Audi A8. Now have a 21 Q7, thinking of going back to the four door “sleeper” sedan
Welcome to Norway!:)
having used night vision assist for a year I can recommend it over heated steering wheel (well - yeah) or glass roof (yeah, whatever) for two reasons: 1) gives you that certainty during night driving that you can't get otherwise and 2) it reveals people in the cities during the thickest fogs (try it!) - so you actually know what's up ahead while you can't actually see that far ;)
►All-new BMW 7-Series / BMW i7 driving review: czcams.com/video/fomjqyMrtAU/video.html
This car is like building a future car on an old platform. Audi put so much tech into this car. Impressive
►All-new BMW 7-Series / BMW i7 driving review: czcams.com/video/fomjqyMrtAU/video.html
An exceptional review like always, Thomas knows his stuff and stays unbiased. Disclosure: I own a A8L 55tfsi 2020 with everything on it except the rear seat comfort package which I don't really need since it is just me and my wife who use the car. If you manage to see the 2021 S580 review by Thomas you can feel his level of enthusiasm and excitement when the A8L features are presented (and this is hard to hide :)). He didn't explicitly tell you he prefers A8L over the competition but it is so so obvious:) to see.
😎

I love the night vision on my M5. It automatically activates at sunset, and has proven very beneficial in alerting me to the presence of deer. I can choose to have the image displayed on the central screen or not, but either way heat signatures continue to be recognized. I've found it very useful in the rural environment where I live. Those in well lighted urban surroundings might find it less necessary.

This is absolutely fantastic !!! Love the A8 facelift.
thanks Dan !
I have bought 2021 type A8 AI predictive suspension and sport back differential . Is a fantastic car very sporty on dynamic and very comfortable on comfort+ - . I tried all : a8 , s class new - standard suspension and series 7 - executive suspension. A8 I considered the best . Night vision work also without to be activated on dash , one time on headup display appeared one red warning with animal and sound : was a deer - i stopped instant due to red warning- . I didn’t tried s class with e active body control maybe is more close as level with audi a8 predictive suspension ! But standard suspension s class is very bad in turnings so that i considered sclass 2021 third after a8 and series 7 .A8 displays and control easy and predictive to use ! S class is number 1 sure to inside ambient light which is really amazing but that from A8 is second and also nice ! Very correct review as usual thanks !
Thanks for the feedback!
The S-Class (W222) is somewhat floaty in suspension comfort mode. It feels very much like a Lexus LS400 (I know because we have both). In sport mode it feels like a classic, pre-2000s Mercedes: firm, with great wheel control.
Awesome to see Thomas in my hometown Molde 😊
Beautiful area!
Another fantastic review by Thomas. Detailed and thorough as always. Greetings from Singapore. Just wanted to seek the views of fellow car enthusiasiants here if Audi engines still suffer the "drinking of engine oil" problem of yesterday years of the A4, A5 and Q5. Hopeful for some insights before making this big purchase. 🙏
►All-new BMW 7-Series / BMW i7 driving review: czcams.com/video/fomjqyMrtAU/video.html
Tasteful ambient lighting. Mercedes has gone absolutely insane with the lighting.
Right! It’s everywhere, when it should be much more tasteful and clean looking.
Nice job on the detailed review! As far as driving, comfort and ride quality, how does the A8 compare to the Bentley Flying Spur? I know it’s been a few years since you looked at that car, but considering depreciation brings those down almost to A8 prices, it’s had me curious.
I can confirm Night Vision is working, helping and savings life...of pedestrians.
Thomas, night time driving showing how effective are the headlamps during night driving…excellent! Also I appreciate driving during bad weather. A8 is impressive!

The best car channel. Le meilleur, 🐸 Bravo
🙏 please recommend 😎
Super ausführlich, sehr gutes Video, wie immer :) ps. Super das man dezent darauf aufmerksam macht das es Leder Alternativen gibt und was deren Vorteile sind abgesehen vom toerwohl :)
🙏🙏
Tapped the shoes before getting I .. and it’s a press car. What a gent
Thomas, could you review latest maserati quattroporte?
Love the facelift!
That Atlantic Ocean Road Bridge you drove on at 28:05 was the same road used in the new James Bond movie.... Suave Thomas driving a suave car in Suave Norway :D
Best in the world.i love this
Awesome 👏
Hi Thomas, what's the realistic daily consumption with 60tfsi ? You mentioned economical mode only....
This is one beautiful and well executed automobile. I sensed the ambience, quietness and luxurious ride quality as if I was riding and sitting there myself. Audi leaves nothing to be desired in this generation and styling of the A8. Good review as always Thomas.
thanks Greg!

A+ review as always Thomas. Any chance for Lexus NX (recent facelift), Facelifted citroen c3/Renault Captur/Kia Sportage driving reviews?
yeah i ll try to deliver NX early next year indeed
Lexus NX review is now here: czcams.com/video/KaZ5LMkYA44/video.html
Superb..👍
Zeigt ihr auch die Assistenzsysteme? Oder macht ihr bald noch ein Video dazu?
Lol. Thomas confused the car when he said" The car raises down" if wasn't sure if it should go up or down
Great review as always.
Thomas is the Best
👌🙏😊
I think you should also upload short reviews
Why does this look more premium than the S Class? It looks more “full” and feels more cozy, meanwhile the S class even tho it’s beautiful it looks more hollow and feels cheaper
A matter of design... Audi design is very much inspired by Bauhaus, which basically invented Design and where there were the greatest designers/architects. If you ask any designer or architect, most of them will say Audi design is in a different league compared to Mercedes and Bmw' ones.
And all the screens look totally retrofitted on the latest S-Class...
@@ArgoBeats Maybe at first sight but History has shown BMW holds de car design language crown since a long time ago. Look at the BMW cars and you might find them boring now, look at them in 10 years and they will look fresh and modern unlike Audi/Mercedes
Said it here for another review recently..
This is German long wheelbase luxury peak ICE for sure.
Covid19 certificates. Looks like we'll be using them in all their different country guises for some time. 😒
Excellent review as ever Thomas, stay safe through winter nthn hemisphere friends. 👍🙏
I truly believe that Audi is Thomas favorite vehicle lol
Autogefühl ❤️
"The car raises down again" interesting approach
Harsh mein Freund. Lol
Thomas and A8 ♥️
Thomas, I love your videos but rising down is not possible ;). Just a tip no complaint!
I might end up upgrading my A6 to a new A8L but I haven’t decided yet. A few things that I’m not sold on, however:
1. I really don’t like the whole “buttonless” cockpit thing. First off, it’s simply lazy design work. Secondly, I find it even more distracting than a cell phone as you don’t have the option to manipulate anything by feel alone. Thirdly, I think it’s only a matter of time before the NTSB regulates infotainment systems for the US market and if anything, this will result in reduced functionality so as to avoid driver distraction. Fourthly, in reading comments in many automotive forums, it’s clear that most people prefer physical seat, stereo, and HVAC controls. All else is a secondary function and can go on the infotainment.
2. There is still way too much “piano black” veneer (which is actually just cheap plastic). That stuff scratches and fingerprints very easily. Carmakers, in general, need to consider this a junk material in the same way most customers do.
3. On my A6 the ambient lighting is hidden underneath a lip that goes around the perimeter of the interior. You don’t actually see the ambient light source itself, only that which it is illuminating. Why have car makers (not just Audi) migrated away from that by making ambient lighting directly visible? Now you have all kinds of distracting ambient lighting reflections off of interior windows, chrome, piano black veneer, etc. Ambient lighting has moved away from being a pleasant interior additive into an unwanted distraction as a result.
4. I was really hoping that Audi would migrate away from the cruise control stock, the way that other car makers have, by putting all cruise control functions in the form of steering wheel-mounted push buttons. On my A6, it’s seven different switch positions on the cruise control stock, the stock itself isn’t illuminated, forcing you to memorize all functions by touch/feel alone, and with many of those functions not intuitive at all. It’s location is such that I’m amazed I haven’t broken it off the steering wheel column yet as I constantly smack it with my left knee. Furthermore, I have activated the turn signal literally hundreds of times when I really was trying to move the cruise control stock upwards. Audi’s cruise control stock is collectively a terrible design.
5. Personally, I really don’t like the collective automotive trend towards “cold white” gauge, instrument, switch, button, knob, etc. background lighting. It’s brash to look at, too bright even when dimmed, and lacks personality and what used to be a good form of automotive brand identity. Audi’s former 560nm (a deep red color) lighting that they used to use throughout their interior’s switchology and gauges looked far more pleasant to me at night. Better yet - allow customers to chose their gauge and switchology lighting color, not just the ambient lighting.
6. Kudos goes to Mercedes for finally, after over 35 years, copying Ford’s dual split sun visor design. Ford’s dual split sun visor design should have long been the industry status quo by this point. This particular sun visor design allows you to simultaneously put one visor in your side window while the other remains in front of you so that you don’t have to continually flip your sun visor from front to side and back again as you change your vehicle’s direction on a curvy road in relation to the sun. I think this is a driver safety feature that should have long since been mandated by the NTSB for those vehicles entering the US market. My question is - why has Audi not yet copied this?
7. Another Ford design that I think should be an industry standard - exterior mounted electronic combination keypads that allow you to lock and unlock your car without your key fob. Often times, people don’t want to have to carry their fob with them such as the beach, gym, sporting events, etc. With this keypad, you can lock your fob in the car and walk away. What’s further, once the doors are locked using the combination lock the engine is electronically disabled until the correct combination code is entered - preventing someone from being able to steal your car by breaking through the window.
8. Much of the MMI’s functionality is available via a subscription only. In today’s world, data can be obtained via Bluetooth from other sources. For example, I can stream a high definition video or update the database on my MacBook Pro via Bluetooth from my iPhone using my iPhone’s data plan. There is no reason why a car can’t do the same. Audi forces you to use AT&T for a data plan (no other choice offered) and then, if you already are an AT&T customer (which I’m not) then you are not able to bundle your data plans together. Audi’s only concern is that its cars are receiving requisite data for OS updates, wireless diagnostics, HD mapping, etc. How that is obtained should be purely the customer’s choice.
As I’ve said for decades now, it’s the little convenience features that make a car easier to live with on a daily basis that will win repeat customers. Customers don’t care to be dazzled by Audi’s electronically opening and closing HVAC vents that don’t add any useful functionality. But by adding little convenience features that make the car more useful and easier to live with on a daily basis - that’s what customers really want.
Mercedes is the worst with the buttonless trend. Relying too much on current tech only dates the car faster.
@@JustinLHopkins so true! Nobody seems to be making a race for more convenience features, better comfort, building a car that’s simply easier for owners to live with on a daily basis. Rather, they seem to be racing not merely for the Millennium Falcon, but rather, the space ship could actually beat it. And yet those same “space ships” often lack the most basic of conveniences and car makers end up looking stupid in the process. I can’t think of any other industry that has become more out of touch with its customer base than the automotive industry. And it seems to be only getting worse.
THE BEST OR NOTHING
@@jumboJetPilot I agree. Also, I don’t want my car looking like some spaceship. Mercedes has gone way too far. It’s a tech overload and it will all be obsolete in a matter of years.
@@JustinLHopkins absolutely! Hardware never keeps up with software. It’s never happened on any computer device from any industry. That high tech looking infotainment system will look obsolete in three years when it can no longer accept ever-evolving and ever-expanding software updates in an effort to keep it current. And because makers refuse to adopt a “plug and play” system where hardware can be easily removed and replaced with newer, better, and more capable hardware then that means you’re stuck with what you have at the time that it was purchased new. In so many ways I think carmakers are going down the wrong path.
You must make a comparison with Mercedes s and bmw 7 and Bentley too
Now that is a fine car there
We love our A8L! Fantastic automobile! Everything about it is an absolute pleasure from the way it drives and handles to the acceleration and sporty feel when you want or soft and luxurious at the touch of a control. I am somewhat puzzled by your aversion to “animal skins” (what’s up with that), as they are soft and supple yet very supportive and comfortable. And the animal was slaughtered already for human consumption and rather than fill a landfill with animal parts, the hides are repurposed for furniture including car seats. This newest model is a technical tour de force certainly with all of the latest features included in our new Q7 plus some that are proprietary to the A8/S8 lineup. Great review as always Thomas and what a gorgeous part of the world to video this review.
1:41 Thomas the weatherman. 😂 Who knew my alternate reality fanfiction would come to life on the small screen. Best book-to-screen adaptation ever made. 😂
😜
Beautiful location. Anyone know which lake that is?
Great review Thomas one of your best! Now which one would you buy? Audi A8, BMW 7 series or Mercedes Benz S class? I had the Mercedes loved it but could easily choose one of the others.
Cheers! I did comment on that in the review, did u watch full length? :)
@@autogefuehl will watch again as I was interrupted! Many thanks!
German vehicles always looking sweet, especially Audi in my opinion. Nice review once again Thomas.
I noticed when I was visiting Germany 🇩🇪 most individuals opted for a hatchback over the sedans. My favorite car is the BMW i7 and the 911 4. Porsche touring. Question next time you test a car in Norway 🇳🇴 go up the hill.
Could you review the Rolls Royce Ghost too?
Fantastisch 👏🏻
What the difference in comfort plus ?
my dream a8
WOW! This is my favorite car
Fantastic and beautiful car
What about interior ambient noise compared to S Class and 7 Series?….
that Bridge @3:24 🤯
Ohoh this car is real Gentlemen! and i love it more than 7 series and S class. This car is best by my mind
Wonderful video.....
👍👍
Facelift? Crikey, it IS a pretty big face it's had lifted onto it! We visited Norway in 2019, but never got to go down the Atlantic Road, amazing.
3:21 i think that he found the road of heaven
28:03 beautiful bridge
I see here that the navigation has the Google satellite view but in the Nederlands i asked if its on the new a3 and that sald audi stop the collaboration so lts not possible .do anyone know how stil 2 get Google satellite view?
Will the a7 also get a facelift in 2022?
Please review the Audi a6 55 tfsi e avant PHEV
Very elegant classic 🚗 car
"The one that is crashing into you" should have spent a little bit extra and gotten the A8 🤣🤣.
Wow great video wow
🙏🙏
I love that front grille!
Looks totally like an A6
I see that the Audi A8L is a 6 cylinder now. What happened to the 8 cylinder A8L?
This is the only car Audi has that I would call luxurious
What's the name of that bridge and the reviews are great. Where are you at?
Wasnt that explained/mentioned in the review? 😄
Appreciated! Please recommend our channel 🤗
