When you aren't straight and have been taught bi isn't real it's completely understandable that you wouldn't know you aren't straight til later in life. Just because you don't act on your sexuality doesn't mean you don't have it.
What exactly is she saying, 'I'm not straight?" Why didn't she just say, I'm gay or I'm bisexual or whatever. Saying, I'm not straight just doesn't sound "authentic " to me.

I'm thankful for represention of someone who appears heterosexual coming out as not heterosexual, doesn't need to have an official title and she is not owed to share it even if she does. Her description of her self reflection feels very similar to myself and it was nice to know others that have gone through it.
