She certainly found a treasure in him. He is one of the most respectful, kindest gentlemen to ever grace an industry plagued with everything BUT! His talent is remarkable. I'm old enough to have witnessed the greatest of all time, Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly, while both were still in their somewhat "prime", and Mr. Hough definitely deserves his rightful place beside them. A really special talent; an even better human.
Two young people who have their heads on straight and who make a great couple. Congrats you two on everything.
I have a question. How do males and females bond with each other? I don't see how men and women can bond (especially romantically) with each other. Men and women think very differently from each other.
Women can build incredible friendships and become very close to each other in a way men can't bond, and science shows that women can bond very well with each other. Generally, women are even more social than men are. After something bad happens, a woman quickly rushes to talk to all of her female friends to get support, whereas a man can isolate himself and grief alone.
Women tend to be more emotionally intelligent, more caring, more empathic, more compassionate, more affectionate, more loyal, more nurturing, more understanding, more sympathetic, more sensitive, more kind-hearted, more peaceful, more calmer, more gentle, more expressive, more intuitive, and more outward than men are, and thus bond more with other women in a special way that they can’t with men. Men, on the other hand, are not that emotional, and thus can’t bond with other men in a special way.
Women are more comfortable being around with other women than they are with men. They have a type of bond that usually men with women won’t really have, or with men and men. Also, girls that are friends touch each other in ways that guys just don’t.

You described your view that you came to perceive and realize for yourself. Falling in love with someone of the opposite sex and bonding with that person, is like drinking a glass of water. It comes natural. It's the same for those who fall in love with the same gender. And for those who fall in love with both or none at all. It's beautiful that it's not the same for everyone.

The love in platonic relationships seems to be way stronger than the love in romantic relationships is since platonic relationships are not fragile like romantic relationships are.
Also, platonic relationships also seem to be a lot more intimate and comfortable than romantic relationships are. Platonic love is one of the most purest forms of love there is, while romantic love is one of the least purest forms of love there is.
Most people seem to be a lot more comfortable around their platonic best friends than they are around their romantic partners or spouses.
A platonic best friend is one of the best things you could ever have. A platonic best friend can be someone you trust the most, and they can be your confidant and coach. People tend to trust their platonic best friends more than their romantic partners, and that's a fact.
The concept of romantic love and romantic relationships seems to mostly be a man-made thing.
@@lstephs49 I heard that lesbian relationships are healthier because they understand each other. If both partners understand each other, they won’t want to break up with each other. I also heard that women have higher rates of depression when married (in straight relationships). There is a very small percent of women that are happy in heterosexual relationships.
So it's very hard for men and women to bond with each other and have a strong bond with each other. Both men and women think differently, behave differently, react in a different way.
Sounds like Derek and Hayley are definitely soul mates. How blessed they are. I wish a lifetime of love and happiness for these two beautiful people.
Actually very impressed with the way Derek is able to articulate his feelings. This is what the purity of a true and sweet woman’s love will do if a man has the humility and self love to accept it even at his lowest, it helps a man mature into the highest version of himself.

I am so happy for you both in your recent marriage. Although I didn’t hear you use the word friend, I think U2 have a strong friendship base before you actually started dating and then marrying, and that is powerful to share a friendship and a commonality, which, Derek, you did say that you both had so much in common from the love of animals to the love of dancing in the love of family, etc. and these were things that helped to see meant further a more meaningful relationship and a relationship you could trust to be yourself in. So many people meet someone and they’re attracted by luxury, chemistry or their financial portfolio but the two of you bonded on something that is going to last a lifetime. And listening to you talk you reminded me of my mother and father. From the time I was five years old, I was very much aware that they loved each other. They were not ashamed to kiss each other in front of us so they were tasteful about it but they hugged each other Hello and goodbye.♥️😊♥️
It wasn’t until I started dating my later to be fiancé/husband , then I realize that my parents demonstration of their love for each other, and their respect and kindness for each other, who is very rare as high school friends in college friends, would come to my home, and when my parents went into the living room to watch the 10 o’clock news and weather before returning to the family area to further play games, and my friends would comment or point at the fact that my mom and dad were sitting beside each other, they were holding hands, and even more So, they were kissing each other. My friends did not have parents that did that… In fact, one friend put it this way, “I have never seen my mom and dad touch each other in anyway, and the closest thing to being even intimate was when they were both on the same side of the car as they were getting ready to go to a church event. They had separate bedrooms, and there was never any indication that they even loved each other.”😂
The two of you will go far in your relationship because of your mutual respect, your common interest, the friendship that existed long before you began dating, and that your career is parallel and help you to resolve challenging issues will take you a long ways and having a LovingBlissful and long marriage . By the way, I too, married, my dear friend of eight years, and I knew I could always be myself with him, and he excepted me for that, allowing me to have my moments of tears and frustrations, and never judging me for it. Just on a sidenote, I am not a woman who gives who hysterics or cries because she’s not getting her way. My tears come from genuine compassion for an issue … Marrying my best friend of nine years definitely allowed me the confidence and assurance to know I was doing the right thing. We remain friends as well as lovers for 47 years before he lost his life to a terrible disease.

When Derek spoke about Hayley being stubborn in her love for him, I burst into tears because that’s exactly how I feel about somebody, but the difference is that he doesn’t respond like Derek ultimately did - with an open heart. And it breaks me. The love I feel for this person is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. And when it doesn’t work out, it breaks you.
