The only somewhat important places which Finland lost were at the time second largest city called Vyborg and the access to arctic sea. For the Soviets those places were nothing. 50 000 people city and some more arctic coast line

In my opinion, Finland has been the super best country ever✨.
My girlfriend is Finnish and I love going there from time to time. I enjoy the cold weather and that the country is really chill, Helsinki and Tampere don t feel as chaotic as German big cities
To be fair Helsinki doesn't count big anywhere south of Denmark. Especially in countries tah tfir our whole population in one city.

Finland is one of the few countries in the world that calls itself a diferent name, "Suomi" i heard that it was the original word for "swamp" but it got shortened over time to "Suo" (i live in Finland and you find Lakes, ponds and rivers EVERYWHERE)
as for Finland it can have several origins from Germanic languages since Finnic tribes were known for being skilled hunters and nomads, "Fin" also means "nice" or "fine" in Swedish so "Fineland" but the origin on both names is unclear but rather fascinating.
It's merely a theory on the etymology of "Suomi", others believe it's just a name, myself included.
Other theory connects the name Suomi to the Baltic word Zeme which means Land

Fun fact: In the largest lake in Finalnd (4th largest in Europe) there are actually seals, though critically endangered. This is because in the last ice age the ice was so heavy it pushed down the land itself. When the ice melted the land started rising again (this is why the Nordics have so many islands). Seals normaly lives in the sea but these seals got trapped in this lake due to the land rising, and they’re as a result evolved into a subspecies.

The public transportation may actually work for the needs of the people on the capital are, where the majority of people live. In the vast lands outside the capital and the biggest cities, it doesn't work. For example, my parents live in a countryside, and one single bus leaves the town daily, and trains never stop there. So you really can't do daytrips to anywhere without a car.
There is no train stations close to every one only in helsinki but not norther parts like kainuu and lapland💁🏽♂️
It didn't say there's a train station within 300 meters, but bus stop OR train station for 90% of Finns. Kainuu and Lapland makes less than 5% of the population.

He didn’t say anything about the quality of it. He just told the fact that 90% of the people live within 300m from a bus stop. Of course that means 500 000 people don’t live that close to a bus stop, but it’s a small number compared to other countries.
The public transportation only works for the couple of biggest cities we have. Which is also where the majority of people live, so technically they're right. However, outside those couple of cities, the public transportation isn't practical most of the time (the smaller cities) or is pretty much non-existent (the countryside).

@@jpcool486 you should get familiar with the public transportation, and we don't use 1-4 cents, so if the price of the thing you're buying is lets say 4,97€ that rounds up to 5€, use the roundup system from math and you'll understand how the pricing works here
