An analysis of “Munitions” please. The absolute chaos that episode brings toppled with the fact that it’s all models, sets and practicality is what makes it my favorite episode.
i 2nd this, its easily the best episode if not in the Top 3
I was just thinking that it’s like my favorite episode just because of the explosion
Having an animation studio like Laika Studios reboot TUGS would be a dream.
I would prefer a Universal Studios/Aardman reboot of TUGS.
@@user-DeLorean-Dude2024 I dunno... Aardman mainly specializes in Stop Motion, not Live Action Model Animation.
@@WillCWilson I am aware of that but let’s just say they try out live action model making for tugs.
@@user-DeLorean-Dude2024 It would be interesting to see how it'd turn out... Imagine it being shot in 2K, 4K, or 8K on a Canon EOS camera. I wonder if they'd be able to fit that into the periscope lense... 🤔
So many questions already...
@@user-DeLorean-Dude2024 Just thought of this: Maybe some of the same people who worked on Thunderbirds: The 50th Anniversary Episodes could do the new TUGS 😀 If there is one, which I doubt.
I agree that Tugs needs more love! I’m not a boat person either but Tugs really scratched that itch that Thomas couldn’t quite get at times. Seriously, any Thomas fans who never gave Tugs a chance, give it another chance!
Agreed man! :) It’s not that it’s better or anything like that by any means, but it’s definitely intriguing and features a lot of stuff that you wouldn’t really see with Thomas & Friends! Spot on boss!
I would like to see an analysis on Munitions as that's a huge favourite amongst fans.
bIg MIKeY!!
I would love that! Munitions is one my favorites.
That one and high winds my two favorites

When train boy does a tugs analysis
*"TODAYS THE DAY!"*
TugBoy
Trainboy: “though it’s a shame we’ll likely never see anything new of the Tugs”
Mattel starts seeing dollar signs
Me 👉🏻to Mattel
No! NO! NO! bad corporate entity bad!
Luckily Mattel don’t own the rights to Tugs, thank god.
Soon...
NO WE DON'T WANT THEM TO DESTROY THAT LIKE SEASON 25
This was the first episode of Tugs I ever saw and I was hooked afterwards. You know, when Big Mickey was introduced in the CGI era of Thomas, I thought for sure they'd introduce the rest of the Tugs characters. Odd they didn't. Oh, well. Great job with this analysis. Can't wait to hear your views on "Munitions".
Agreed my man, honestly I gave TUGS a really hard time before watching it! I had known of it but chopped it up to “not my thing” until on a whim I watched the whole series and now I feel like I’m late to the party! Either way though I do wish they came around abit more but at the same token I’m happy we have what we do! Thank you for the comment boss! :) 👌
It’s kind of interesting how TUGS did the Team vs Team trope, in this case, Star Vs. Z-stacks, BEFORE Thomas and friends, Diesels Vs. Steamies
Sadly, I never got to watch Tugs as a child and only found out about it when I got back into Thomas Community. At least its all on CZcams to watch now!
Same! I found about Tugs a few months ago and I love it. It's a shame Tugs never got as much love.
High Tide was the first TUGS episode I saw and I got interested in TUGS from there. It's mainly the bridge scene is why I love this episode. Coupled with the music makes this a really tense and memorable scene.
I dunno, I could see you doing a series called "Tugboy", where you review the "Tugs" episodes!
Tugbouy,
"that's real zero thinking dummy"
Piece of constructive criticism perhaps, but I didn't feel like this was an analysis as much as it was a plot recap. I've enjoyed pretty much all of your content, and still enjoyed this video, just think the title was a little misleading. Keep at it with the content tho man, you're killing it.
@Crying child real Meaning upload some more stuff to my channel?
Favourite episode! I’d love to see an analysis on either Up River, Munitions, Ghosts, High Winds, or Quarantine
I always assumed most Thomas fans would love tugs, or show some Intrest In it. Tugs hits a huge spot for me cause while I love trains, I'm also a maritime enthusiast, and I've always loved tugboats since I was a kid, high tide is definitely one of my favorite episodes! I vaguely remember watching as a kid "salty's lighthouse" which reused and edited scenes from Tugs into new stories, wasn't until years later I found out about Tugs, and was instantly hooked.
Discussing Tugs is apt since the Marklin engine used for The Goods Engine was also used in the early TV series. Munitions comes to mind as one you should look at. It too has trains in the plot, as does Upriver.
Can you also, do "Up River"? The reason is because, Puffa(The engine who crosses the bridge), does play a major role, and talks, sorta.
This is the best character episode for me. it shows why Top hat is a necessary addition to the fleet. He's actually quite smart.
This is my favourite episode too! When the music kicks in as soon as the goods train shows up is next level! 👌👌👌
This will always be my favorite episode of TUGS. There’s just something oddly satisfying about it.
Same
An amazing analysis! You certainly did the episode justice. It's great to see this show get some appreciation!
Truly amazing job as always!
Tugs has a special place in my heart, when I was younger watching it on VHS whenever I'd go visit my grandparents (who were a plane flight and several hours drive away).
This episode is definitely one of the more memorable to me as well, great to see you cover Tugs stuff too :D
Two Fun Facts from Thomas And Tugs
Fun Fact:There were 96 scripts and a season 2 planned for Tugs but then tv was bankrupt.
Second Fun Fact: In a interview with David Mitton, he was asked what was his favorite scene from thomas. And his favorite was in Flying kipper when it show scenes from Brendam Dock.
My personal favourite episode is Up River. The constant feel of dread, plus the focus on Puffer the steam engine racing the runaway logs always has meat the edge of my seat.
Trainboy: "now don't worry I'm not switching to boat content or anything"
me: "Boatboy"
Trainboy uploads a tugs video
Me: *confusion 10000*
Nice analysis of my favorite show! You are really good at analyzing episodes!
High Tide is a fan favorite as it was the closest to tying the two worlds if boats and trains together!! It's definitely a favorite of mine!!
Yeah, ive seen all the tugs episodes, a while back, despite being a railways person, i absolutely loved it
Considering there are only a limited number of episodes, you could do analyses of the lot.
I thank you for bringing TUGS to my attention with your previous video, well worth the watch.
tugs isn't a popular show but it sticks out to all of us
I’m so glad I found your channel
As a rail fan I also love the person who thought to add tugs to Thomas and friends.
Next season: The bismark enters the port.
why do i hear sabaton?
*Yamato has joined the game*
Bismarck waifu
Azur lane
Kantai collection
This is the episode that got me into the show.
For me it was Tugs over Thomas, I have all the Tugs vhs tapes I got as a kids still. Still love it today and have introduced it to my kids.
no comment on how Big Mickey the Crane made the jump to Thomas and Friends as the "other" Harbor crane, and even got a speaking role and Name Drop in season 21?
Growing up, I was (still am) a big fan of Thomas and Theodore Tugboat
TUGS was actually recommended to me by a friend who grew up with both as well.
I deeply need more of this
Big Mickey is the only character from TUGS to appear in TAF
O.J. technically did as well. He was remade into the pleasure steamer lakesider. Also the Fulton ferry appears in the gremlin episode.
Honestly I wonder what if there was an episode of Thomas & Friends where someone like Percy or James were one of the two engines that crossed the bridge and got caught in the events of High Tide.
You explain like a boss
I'm glad Sunshine doesn't speak all that much in the series because his voice drives me mad.
Amazing! Always loved Tugs! Still got them on 📼 😄
Great review, High Tide is one of my favorite episodes of Tugs, especially that Puffa is in it. I would love to see a review of Ghosts.
I've always been indifferent to TUGS, but then I watched it a few months ago while feeling ill and it instantly won me over. I honestly wish we had more series like it.
The epic music makes it even more interesting
An analysis on Munitions would actually be pretty awesome! Could you do one please?
Tbh tho this felt more like a summary than an analysis.....
I want more.
I'm a fan of both
Fun fact: Some of the Tugs models and sets were sold to Britt Allcroft and were modified and used in Thomas and Friends from 1991 onward
there is a Tugs episode that involves one of those engines. its Puffa the goods engine. Its in a episode called up river.
I honestly wish I wasn’t one of those people who thought Tugs was a knockoff of Thomas until a year ago. But then again, it was probably better for me to watch it last year so that I would be old enough to handle the explosions, music, and Izzy Gomez.
Don't know how often you've ever mentioned it if at all but have you checked out Theodore Tugboat? It's no Tugs but it definitely has the same vibes and was a great show which makes sense for being a derivative of it.
We really need more shows with that narration and presentation style. Thomas and Friends, TUGS and Theodore Tugboat had a special kind of magic.
Make an entire series of it
I love this episode of tugs. It's the main reason why top hat is my favourite character. He kind of reminds me of james because hes a bit vain but a hard worker.
The Big Mickey model is used in Thomas and Friends Season 2 or 3 on docks after tugs got canceled and CGI series made a nod to the crane
“Some things gonna go wrong”
A few friends of me and I translate the series into German and I'm so happy when this episode is on
That crash scene was... Gorgeous...
This is the best episode to get someone who isn’t into tug
I’d like to see a full on crossover between tugs and the classic series
Well we at least had O.J.‘s model appear, course heavily altered with a new paint scheme and name and no head.
It's a missed opportunity to get them into TTTE, could have seen them coming on bits at a time until they finally release TUGS in CGI form to compliment what Thomas & Friends was.
YEY FOR TUGS!
Wait, so is the ending of Thomas and the Magic Railroad a Tugs reference?
Can you say the line that references it?
@@LancerIHR it's not a line; it's Deisel 10 falling into the barge
Memorieeeeeeeeeeeeeees
Around 2000-2002, I was introduced to the show thanks to Salty's Lighthouse. Before that, I was well aquatinted with Theodore Tugboat.
Great Analysis! You should do a TUGS Analysis on the Episodes, Ghosts & Munitions!
Looking forward to seeing more soon Boatboy
I like TUGS, i've seen all 13 episodes and actually own a VHS tape for Jinxed, Quarantine & Up River.
Out of the 13 episodes; those three are the ones i like, the other 10 didn't click with me.
I wish it'd lasted longer/would come back. I've even imagined how a comeback could've happened; with Thomas encountering Ten Cents at Brendham Docks as the latter helped bring in a ship while on loan to The Fat Controller.
My favorite episodes tugs is high tide as well train boy 😊
Trainboy if you wanna talk about TUGS episodes talk about Munitions and how badass it is!
Also once you´ve finished watching the original TUGS show, please be sure to check out Victor Tanzig´s ´stories of Sodor´ series where he adapts the episodes into Thomas stories using Trainz
And it was never even remastered in HD.
Don’t worry...I give Tugs 100/10 :)
This is madness;
Madness, This is Tugs
It'd be nice to see this kind of video for all the TUGS episodes, since there's not that many of them.
Do a video on at the Salty's Lighthouse remakes of Tugs and give your honest opinions on them. I'm seriously interested in what you would have to say about that disaster...
The first episode of Tugs I saw on the High Tide vhs tape.
5:31-5:36
I got a good laugh out of this scene, not gonna lie!
😂
I really just prefer Theodore Tugboat over Tugs. Also I lived in Michigan so I got Theodore broadcasts from Canada and never saw Tugs until the internet. I also just like the look of Theodore better.
Nice analysis. "Munitions", "High Winds" or "Bigg Freeze" would be a good follow up.
You should make a model of puffa
Top hatt is my favorite character he's hilarious
It's beautiful
yea, i was suprised when i heared about tugs
Video on Ivor The Engine in the future maybe?
I gained a further appreciation for TUGS, thanks to Victor Tanzig and his Stories of Sodor series having based some episode on episodes of this series.
An analysis of “Munitions” please
Not trying to follow everyone, but please do Munitions, the most set wrecking episode made
Tugs=Canadian Version of Theodore the tugboat with specifically focusing on one tugboat
Yo can I get dat Underground Ernie analysis next?
You should do "Trapped" which actually happened recently with a cargo ship called Ever Given got stuck in a river
Definitely review Munitions and for a possible Thomas episode The True Story (or stories) of Bye George
Please do more of this
Yay tugs again!
When I was a kid I always thought Tugs was more adult than Thomas. Especially with the longer episodes and SFX. I’m not saying I’m right, I was pretty young when I made that assessment.
I wanna see the rest of them episodes

@@alanabyss9246 no as in he review them not me review them why should I have an opinion
@@catastropheintended88 I
Thought you meant you wanted to see the other episodes of the show
Trainboy should make a video on the TCC
Great video I think I’m going to watch tugs
