- My 2,120th kite video. This was just a short fly on the same day as that in my last video. I was trying to take advantage of every bit of suitable weather, as conditions are rarely good these days.

Smiley kites help cheer up any scene, Dewey. I used to fly them more often, and maybe I should again.
Flowtails are memorizing. I have a giant one from China I only paid about $35 dollars for, and it's always a pleasure to fly and watch.
That was a good bargain, Sheryl. Sometimes cheap kites from China can be a disappointment, sometimes they are wonderful value.

I think if I'd had a suitable tail with me then I could have persuaded the rokkaku to fly well. The wind was not very steady, unfortunately.
I don't know how the Smiley kites can keep their smile on in the cold Winter winds. Glad you got some flying in before the even worst weather arrived.
It looks as if there'll be no flying at all this week, Carl. Fortunately, we did a little on Sunday (video to come at the end of the week, probably).

It might be a problem getting the power to where it was wanted!
I have the same winged boxkite with spinners! I never noticed they spun in opposite directions, but I'll be sure to point it out to my long-suffering wife who will roll her eyes. (In the same direction)
It would be a worry if she emulated the kite and revolved them in opposite directions! It's nice that she takes an interest, anyway.
