I’m a UF grad and lifelong Heat fan. One of my favorite possessions is a poster of Udonis dunking while Joakim Noah (on the Bulls) is in the background. Go gators!

I'm from Michigan so I'll always support the state teams but I messed with Florida hard back then. Teddy Dupay was nice but Brett Nelson was my guy. I was pissed when Billy got Anthony Roberson from Saginaw underneath Tom Izzo nose. Anthony was always the best player in the state for our 2002 graduating class, and we had a few McDonald's All Americans in the state.

Coach Jones is a lifetime friend of mine and I remember talking to him after the move from Marshall to UF. DJ would excuse me from the phone to watch his office because Jason had just came in…. lol Played with the coaches at MU in the weekly pick up games….
FSU alumni here, but I would tune in just to watch these Billy Donovan teams play. The style and how they won games you just couldn’t miss as a college bball fan. My first look at Mike Miller was his freshman year playing us at the civic center.
You can tell Donovan is a Rick Pitino prodigy, he talks like him still to this day. I as a UK fan wanted Donovan to come to UK after Pitino left soo bad man. And if Jason Williams would have played for Kentucky he would have fit the mold so well in that blue and white. Kentucky is full of those ol country white boys that can hoop, and ik he was from west Virginia, but he would have fit right in. Fortunately Kentucky got Calipari who ended up going on a run unrivaled by 99 percent of any other coach in the history of the game. Donovan will always be one of the best to ever do though, he has had some really tough Florida squads man

I had class with these dudes and the football players. They never disrupted class but they just sat in the back and go to sleep. Mike would walk by Turlington plaza around 10am with some big ass superstar sunglasses. Man I wish I could relive Gainesville back in Fall 98'.
Not mentioning how Coach Meyers was run out of Florida due to having recruited so many players who ended up on police blotters, huh?

Jason Kidd was 2 years ahead of Jason Williams. Kidd got drafted in June 1994 after playing 2 years at Cal, the same month Williams graduated high school. He got that mixed up. Kidd graduated High School in '92... Williams would have only been a Sophomore in high school when Kidd was a senior.

J-Will was in 10th Grade when J-Kidd was in 12th. Very possible they were getting recruited at same time
These are great stories, but Williams went to college in '95. Kidd entered the NBA in '94. Donovan's memory is off.
