Couple stories about JJ.
1) he’s from Wyoming and I played in an invite pickup game in Fort Collins, Colorado, not far from Cheyenne. James was there-back when he was heavy. He blew by his man and I was on helpside. Let’s just say my 6’3” height with 6’6” wingspan and good vertical for an amateur was no match for JJ. He put his nuts on my head (pause) and dunked over me.
2) We played in a competitive tournament in Wyoming against his team. One of my teammates was an athletic freak with the nastiest temper I’ve ever seen. He and James and James’ family got into it and it was quite the tussle on the sideline.
He was certainly a new man physically after Miami, but he was well known in the WY/CO area for sure

I think some type of video where they show him breaking boards in a dojo somewhere, I knew then people don’t want that smoke! I just wish he could have been a little more consistent when he played for the Heat especially for the contract that they gave him! I noticed that the Pacers resigned JJ one day after that dust up in Milwaukee between Portis and Nesmith. Giannis went crazy after the game too. We'll see what happens today when they play. Hopefully the Pacers hang in there. Not that I think JJ will play (probably won't), but Portis will probably be less inclined to go maniacal with Johnson on the bench with Indiana.
