Awwwww, poor little Charlie! I NEVER thought they were doing anything to hurt him, but it was so sad to see him burst into tears after being so rudely startled awake!
@@Livikyu Fair turnabout after months of a baby screaming at 1 in the bleeding morning. Still, long-term memory doesn't kick in 'til about 3 years old, so no harm done.
"I walked into a shop the other day... 14 stitches!" Talk about mastering the very high art of one-liners... what a brilliant demonstration of this scarce talent! This one is probably the best I ever "algorithemed" into.
Wow. They didn't even give Jeeves and Wooster half a sideways glance. In my mind, some of the finest work they've done. The commentators are right - they now define those characters and no one will ever be able to tackle them again without hiding in the shadows of their greatness. Right Ho, Jeeves!
ted daughters Actually, much as I love these two, the defining Jeeves and Bertie were Ian Carmichael and Dennis Price, in the original BBC series which no one under my age of none-of-your-business seems to know about. Wodehouse would have cast these two himself. If anyone outside of the Museum of Broadcasting can find this '70s (?) series then see how it should have been done.
When I watched the sketch with the baby, I thought that the person as an adult could say," I was in a sketch of A Bit of Fry and Laurie as a baby!" Now that I found out that he was Hugh's son, he has a lot he can say.
@alan wilson Sir, did you hear that part about his gambling debts? He is lucky to have people around him who care so much. If that's condescending, so be it.
One of the greatest gifts in acting is finding someone who can improve better than you can...then the real enjoyment of the art begins. It seems that these two have found their perfect match.
Actually, I thought that was too much as well. But then, I know families who go on like that at each other - in jest, for real- just like that and they laugh about it. So I Don't know..
They say friendship is THE most selfless and profound relationship one can have because we benefit in no physical way from such relationships. These two are amazing examples.
Hugh! You just called your son a scum bag on live television! Btw that baby is the cutest thing to hit this planet! Look at it's little crying face~ I loves it~
Its really spooky, Stephen reminds me so much of my late uncle in the face and his voice . Especially the bit when stephen says i do remember who the baby was, it was Charles Laurie. The way he is talking at that moment, its like my uncle is sitting there. My uncle was a gr8 fan of Fry and laurie and absolutely loved J&W. RIP Uncle 👍
What a pair of brilliant actors with such chemistry and enormously talented ! But, I wish Stephen would find a new barber.....need to get him out of the 70’s. Great fun watching them together .
Had to pause the video around 4 mins in to play a few of those songs before they get stuck in my head... been a particularly long while since I've seen that first song, and why is a bit of a mystery.
Imagine walking into a room where THE Stephen Fry, THE Hugh Laurie and THE Emma Thompson are just sitting around chatting together like old friends. Sheesh! BTW, I had a case of the interstitials once, but the cream from the pharmacy cleared it up in no time.
Imagine the pitch for this show. "Let's reunite two of the smartest people to have appeared on television and then have some narrator talk over them as if the audience is stupid."
English has more synonyms per word than any other language in the world. But you think that isn't proof of richness? English has an accepted 250,000 words. French has an accepted 50,000. Fives times more words but you think English isn't rich at all... Fascinating. Do you think the Chinese have a richer language? People always quote about their crisis and opportunity thing, so apparently not.
We men in my close family tell one another that we love them, all the time and you can see by my profile picture I'm not the sort you'd expect that from, but real men, straight men, men comfortable with their sexuality can can tell another man "They love him" because we also do it in public, people do look a little shocked and weird but they know it's a platonic, man's man love, or family love, the kind inky found in the deepest of friendships whether family or not.
Still today, it is not like that that "men talk". It is not about what is right or what is accurate, it is a vision of how people interact that we all share (whether we approve it or not).
"It's as if you don't realize how much I love you,"
I AM CRYING. THESE MEN. I CAN"T.
I love how Stephen thinks Hugh is the funniest man in the world! He giggles sooo much!
"It's like you don't realize how much I love you."
I'm sorry, it seems something's got in my eye and- oh, it's raining now.
"we had our first child on the NHS, and had to wait nine months - can you believe it?"
Hehehe!!! God that one made me cry.
Awwwww, poor little Charlie! I NEVER thought they were doing anything to hurt him, but it was so sad to see him burst into tears after being so rudely startled awake!
It is actually quite bad when you realise they are indeed shouting at a baby, but I imagine Charlie nowadays is like 'for fucks sake dad'

9.40??
Possibly because it wasn’t much of a writing input for them
When I watched the sketch with the baby, I thought that the person as an adult could say," I was in a sketch of A Bit of Fry and Laurie as a baby!"
Now that I found out that he was Hugh's son, he has a lot he can say.
“it’s like you don’t realize how much i love you” i can’t take this this early in the morning
gummy I wish I had a friend like that...it’s beautiful
"It's as if you don't realise how much i love you"
This has now become my favourite quote :')
It's so lovely, such a wonderful friendship
They are such a married couple. i love them. I loved Jeeves and Wooster so much. They werereally born to play those roles.
This shows how lucky Stephen is to have people like Hugh on his side. Generous and kind people who befriend him and aid him.
@alan wilson Sir, did you hear that part about his gambling debts? He is lucky to have people around him who care so much. If that's condescending, so be it.

Hugh shouted "Scumbag!" at his first-born.
Don't we all? :-)
Sorry found it disgusting. You just don't bring a child to cry on purpose.
Actually, I thought that was too much as well. But then, I know families who go on like that at each other - in jest, for real- just like that and they laugh about it. So I Don't know..
"It's as if you don't realise how much I love you." - magical
They say friendship is THE most selfless and profound relationship one can have because we benefit in no physical way from such relationships. These two are amazing examples.
Jeeves and Wooster was top quality. And almost no one takes a punch or prat fall like Hugh.
Don't be dirty is one of my favorite sketches ever :D
"It's as if you don't realize how much I love you." OMG!
I just might borrow that "it's as if you don't realize how much I love you". it's incredibly sweet.
“Toilet nonsense.” Centuries of English humor summed up in two words.
These two are a gifted team, but also gifted when not together. So glad to have their comedy. It is genius.
Hugh! You just called your son a scum bag on live television!
Btw that baby is the cutest thing to hit this planet! Look at it's little crying face~ I loves it~
I wonder what his wife had to say lol
This is possibly the funniest duo that has ever existed. 😂🤣😂
I wish I had a friend as close as they.
I soo feel Hugh's perspective. I'm not made for this world of "constant communication" either.
Stephen Fry's impression of Richard Whiteley was just simply amazing. So brilliant, easy to forget he's such a talented impressionist as well!
Its really spooky, Stephen reminds me so much of my late uncle in the face and his voice . Especially the bit when stephen says i do remember who the baby was, it was Charles Laurie. The love/admiration of each other is the same love/admiration we got for them
What a pair of brilliant actors with such chemistry and enormously talented ! But, I wish Stephen would find a new barber.....need to get him out of the 70’s. Great fun watching them together .
it's as if you don't understand how much i love you!
god! this is so mot like him! stephen must mean a hell of a lot to him!!
hahahaha OMG! I must admit 'Dont be dirty' is one of my favorite sketches from Fry & Laurie
I think I nearly swooned at the 'love you' bit
Best ever celeb bromance!
Mystery is EPIC! I will have it played at my wedding!! :)
47 ginger-headed sailors!!! Realy speaks to me, that song :)
Steven was a huge countdown fan during the Whitly era. Therefore his portrayal of him was so spot on.
I love the fact that Greece is related to A Bit Of Fry and Laurie in a rather special way =) I am Greek myself.
For a show about Fry and Laurie reunited, this show has very little of them actually reunited.
"It's a FRIG-MOTHERING door" XD oh god... I absolutely have to start using that phrase.
frig-mothering!! LOVE IT. These two just make me smile :D
Jeeves and Wooster
Yes, thank you.
Thanks for posting. I really enjoyed this.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! The 'finger' bit always kills me with laughter. lol
Touching...
It breaks any heart.
I miss Fry & Laurie I wish they would bring it back as old people but the same characters that would be hilarious . Especially Jeeves and Wooster
Time to lob on to the next part.
Just can't stop smiling watching this. XD
What a cute baby ❤
Had to pause the video around 4 mins in to play a few of those songs before they get stuck in my head... been a particularly long while since I've seen that first song, and why is a bit of a mystery.

Wow, Carolin Quentin aged... Marvelously.
Doesn't Hugh look happy when Stephen says Terry Gilliam... :)
Can you imagine how those Vox Pop sketches would hit now? We need another series
No but mentally you do. Thats like saying you don't benefit from playing games. But you enjoy playing games and therefor your benefit is enjoyment.
I wonder where is this filmed, seems like an interesting place.
so RIGHT. LOL Fry is great
lol 13:35 Hugh is Moss (It crowd)
Mystery makes me die laughing 🤣
HA I just watched the sketch of Mrs.Popey last week

Too long Johnny is my favorite Hugh Laurie song.
Imagine walking into a room where THE Stephen Fry, THE Hugh Laurie and THE Emma Thompson are just sitting around chatting together like old friends. Sheesh!

Hymnyaaaah! :)

They are like a younger Sir
Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart.
Surely, SURELY, John Plowman in his armchair here is the inspiration for Rowley Birkin QC?!
He'd been a naughty boy, 'adn't he?!
Run..for your F***ING life! :D :D
2:16 wibble wobble
Go Madge! Harold Bishop remembers you fondly babe!
@DontTouchMyVicodin It's as if he doesn't realize how much we love him as well

Haha. Mr. Suckmaster Boastingfoam. These guys are geniuses.
Jervillion Swike is already ridiculous enough, but that is the ultimate topper!
4:53 So, it really should have been called "A Bit of Hat and Laurie"?
Such a crack up at 3:47. I think you have to be non-American from the Commonwealth to get this joke.

They missed out Ted Cuntablast?!?
Eltham Palace if you're wondering.
.14- was Hugh wiping away a tear?
"Not that that's a criticism, well it sort of is."
@fabugirl123 Absulument d'accord avec vous !
@skyrock100 LOOOOOL I was thinking the same! I bet you they inspired on him!
the song mystery reminds me of Tim Minchin, but obviously it came before Minchin did.
Caroline Quentin is still so utterly gorgeous.
11:55 - Is this Hugh hitting someone else instead of getting smacked himself?
12:13 / 12:34 - Right back at him... :,D
dont be DIIRRTAYYY ahahaha
'Murica! 'Murica! ...pow
They're saying there is usually no physical benefit.
@fabugirl123 Absolutely agree with you !
