Come to Oregon for the state fair! Its end of August. Also visit Enchanted Forest. Small family amusement park but a fun one.

I'm 40 minutes away from Witchita falls Texas. The pro wrestling museum was only supposed to shut down temporarily to expand but there ended up being too much damage from water leaks and most of the stuff inside was ruined so they had to permanently close it.
I’m happy you went to the Wrestling Hall of Fame..Arn Anderson and Tony Schiavone will be inducted there later this month
FYI, I always keep a towel and a blanket in my car. LOL

My father had an encounter with some famous wrestlers when he was young. My grandfather was the guy at the local Elk's club who organized the wrestling shows they would have on the weekend. My dad said that one day, he came home from school, or something, and found my grandmother cooking, and seated at the table in her tiny kitchen were these three giant guys who took up the entire room. It turned out that they were Andre the Giant, Rocky Johnson, and Mad Dog Vachon. His father had invited them over for dinner. My dad said that my grandmother cooked each of them a whole chicken and they ate every scrap. He remembered that he knew Mad Dog Vachon because at the time, he was known for being this ultra-violent madman who had ripped some guy's ear off or something like that. My dad said that while they were there, they were super nice and they were super respectful to his mother. They all said, "Yes, or no maam", and they didn't call her by her first name, referring to her as "Mrs. Muir".

Been a subscriber for years! Watched with my Lynne who passed away last July, now I watch with our 25yr old son. We are a wrestling fan/family, going to around 500 shows around Pittsburgh since 2002. So yes we LOVE when you come to Kennywood! We live near Monongahela up the river 25min, Joe Montana grew up there. I'll show you where he threw a football through a neighbor's tire swing to develop his accuracy at a young age if you come back!

Dan Gable is a highly decorated amateur wrestler and coach. He competed collegiately at Iowa State University, won two national championships and a gold medal (not with a broken freakin’ neck) at the Olympics in Munich. He then became the head wrestling coach at the Univeristy of Iowa, where he coached a bunch of All-Americans, national champions, several of whom became Olympians themselves. He never turned to professional wrestling, although I’m sure promoers like Sam Muchnick and Verne Gagne came calling.

Charles Betts aka Chad Gable in wrestling now uses Dan's last name. This video just gets me ready to watch the ppvs this weekend. Grew up around wrestling even when my mom was pregnant with me they were at ring side in the mid 80s and my uncle mouthed off to Ric flair lol

I'm assuming a "dedicated park" is one dedicated to the memory of somebody (like that one is dedicated to Albert) and "regular" parks aren't dedicated to anybody in particular.
As much as I enjoy starting every day with your videos, I'm not selfish enough to ask you to go back to daily uploads. PLEASE take time for yourself, your family, and Jenn! You deserve it! We'll always be here when you come back. You won't be good to any of us if you totally burn out, so please enjoy your occasional days off without worrying about us. (Although I, for one, could never get too much Carpetbagger! You could upload 2 hour-long videos a day and I'd still watch every minute, lol.)

I'm about 200 miles from the California State Fair. If I knew when you're going to be there, maybe I could say hi to you. BTW we're in a terrible heatwave right now, so maybe plan your trip for when it cools down into the 90s, if possible.
A dedicated park is meant for public use. I'm not sure what a park that is not "dedicated" means.
If you are going to hit the California State Fair this year, I would encourage you to take a few minutes to check out the Forest Center (it is towards the back of the fairgrounds). No trip to the fair is complete without a walk through that little slice of California forest.
The museum is missing 1 thing which is TCB singlet 😂. Please enjoy your time, i don't mind if you're missing upload 1 or 2 vid per week. You need some break too ❤

Yess Kurt Angle is my favorite next to Matt Hardy!!! Wooo!!! He won those gold medals with a frickin' broken neck! The Hardy Boyz are coming to Michigan in early August and I'm hoping to meet them with my sister. ♥ I love learning about traditional wrestling. Your body goes through so much whether it's traditional or entertainment wrestling, so massive respect to everybody who does it. Have fun with your family!!!!
World's smallest park is Mill Ends Park in Portland. I think you've been there? It was dedicated in 1976. It is 452 square inches.

Washington learned grappling as part of his battle studies. He was a Berger after all. Lincoln learned wrestling as a hobby to blow off steam and it was something to do on the frontier at the time. The fighting was so different as it was much slower and concentrated on holds not punches or kicks. During the 1920s did wrestling really take off before that it was the carnivals and just the animal wrestling. Basically people wrestled bears or kangaroos and you could win prizes if you lasted a certain amount of time. Sometimes you wrestled a local strongman.

Board game collecting is one of my hobbies, and I'm very familiar with the Verne Gagne Wrestling board game. It's one of those many games from that era that's just a roll the dice, and move the pawn games where you're trying to get to the end before your opponent. And occasionally, you'll land on those spaces that say, "Move two spaces forward", or "Move four spaces backward", or "Go back to start". Stuff like that. It's a race game with no strategy, or player interaction at all. And the mechanics have nothing to do with wrestling. Games like these were a dime a dozen, even into the 70's. The game company would have some simple game sitting around, usually a roll the dice and move the pawn race game, and they would get a license for some cartoon or other popular thing, and just put pictures of that thing all over the board and box. But the game would have nothing to do with that thing other than the pictures.

I was curious to see if WWE star Chad Gable was related to Dan Gable. Per an online search, they are not related (Chad's real name is Charles Edward Betts), but per Wikipedia Chad's ring use of the last name Gable is an homage to Dan Gable, so that's kind of cool.
