A renewal of the greatest rivalry in the history of mankind... The Carpetbagger vs. Compressed Air.....
😂😂😂😂
As someone who was a scare actor for years, I have to say you were my favorite kind of victim. Screaming and laughing at the same time. Much love my friend.
I loveeee scare actors! Thanks for the frights keeps me young
@@ohmigoshness1 you are very welcome. It was the most fun I ever had on a job and I loved hearing the screams. Made me feel like they were getting their money's worth.
And his laugh is so adorable and catchy too 😍
I acted at Waverly Hills Sanitorium. Have you heard of it?
@@denisedarnell1641 Right?😂😂😂
That haunted attraction was cool. We need more interactive type experiences like that with no actors. Just places to wander around and look at creepy stuff.
What are you talking about? That attraction had actors!
The FBI agent played multiple roles...
On a very hard day for my family where we awoke to some very shocking sad news, your video is exactly what I need to remember to smile and see that life does go on , even when my heart is broken in a million pieces 💔 .
Thank you for being such a HAPPY GO LUCKY DUDE who absolutely pushes past the hard parts of life and allows all of us to giggle or laugh out loud with your antics. Things that go bump in the night dont scare you as much as compressed air blowing your way. I DONT BLAME YOU ❤❤😊
Praying for you and yours.
“OHHHH HE WAS PLAYING GOLF” I love the commentary when Jacob gets scared 😂
The old Haunted Adventure involved a coffin making company called Grimsby and Streaper, cleverly hiding within the title "Grim Reaper." There was a large creepy elevator that would take you to the top. The whole experience was much darker and a victorian era horror affair that delt with a Jack the Ripper-esque serial killer. Lots of automated scares, and one scare actor that would play multiple roles throughout the house.
One thing I like about carpetbagger is that he doesn't complain. Regardless of the attraction, he finds joy and enjoys the experience. Bc experience is what it's about. The attraction could be mediocre, lame, or awesome and yet he's still gonna enjoy it and get what it gives. It's refreshing to not hear a complainer lol
An unexpectedly early haunt attraction? Awesome!
I'm so glad you got on the Ferris wheel, it was a beautiful ride!
I'm glad you're having fun in Myrtle Beach ❤
Your the best Jacob!! Keep up the good work!! Thanks for taking a picture with me and my little brother after finishing the video!!😊😊
"OOOHH He was playing golf!" I love the commentary whenever Jacob gets scared. Can't wait for Haunt Season. 😂
Glad you got to finally ride a big ferris wheel Jacob. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This was great! I was laughing while you were yelling! Your face was classic when you had to give the code! 😂
The use of buttons in the Haunted Adventure is super cool! Reduces the jump scare factor a little bit (you know *something* is going to happen), but it still gets some spooks since you're basically making the audience participate in their own scares. I'd love to see it used at other places.
Thanks Jacob for your eternal dedication to showing us those scary dark rides and haunted houses! Loved those places when I was a kid, but now that I'm old all I have to do is watch the news to get scared.
Congrats on that hole in one!! ❤ MB
The original gay dolphin video is what made me fall in love with this channel all those years ago.
That's in the top 10 Jacob. It's a great video. Take care, my friend, and as always, safe travels .
I love how clear & crisp the picture is in your videos.
Makes me feel like I'm visiting with you!
Ahh ,the gay dolphin, parents bought me many rubber shark toys there back in the 80s
You are so funny when you try to dance. You have the same moves every time. Lol
I do remember when the whole section was the haunted adventure attraction. They used to have an employee stand outside and say things to people walking by trying to get them to do it. I remember this because I had one of them yell out at me one time “you should be out here working instead of me, you have on more makeup than I do.” Fun times 😂
Those grab bags from the Gay Dolphin basement were a favorite childhood souvenir! I wish I could step back in time to the Myrtle Beach of my 80s childhood!
The Gay Dolphin was a family vacation staple and a fond memory of mine. I believe in the 90s, the open center part with the hanging string lights had either oil (or water?) dripping down long wires/string. That place really is unique. I’m glad it’s still around
The older version of ripleys HA had a very cool clown room and it was alot longer from what i remember and you would enter an elevator
Ripleys knows how to scare your pants off
I feel the same way about the World’s Fairs. I read books and watch every video I can about them, especially Chicago in 1893. Great video!
Stories of the Chicago World’s Fair are fascinating!
I remember going there when it was the three story haunted house. You'd see people running on a balcony screaming; it was hilarious. Lol. It was definitely a lot scarier. I loved it. ❤❤I'm so happy to see you doing an early haunt!!!
2025, summer of snow globes.
Not sure if it’s been said but I think you survived because technically you’re not on vacation. Your work just happens to include visiting places and foiling murderers…. Basically 1/5th of mystery inc. Vaca slasher never stood a chance.
It looks like the FBI agent that was helping you was actually the killer just pretending. I'm pretty sure that was the story line going on.
Or Ripley's was too cheap to pay for another cast member.
@@burritofueled7415 No. You see the actual FBI agent dead.
Giant observation wheels like High Roller are designed for multiple parties, so even a solo person would end up with 1-2 other larger parties
I went during the pandemic and it was very slow, they told me for safety reasons I couldn’t ride in my own car and I had to ride with another party
That noise at the beginning of The Haunted adventure scared my cat.L o l
Wow. this ripley's haunted thing is awesome,!!!!
You had me laughing out loud in the haunted house.
Good job on the hole in one!
Awesome Ferris Wheel the Ripley’s Haunted Adventure was great.
That's probably one most interesting mini golf ⛳ that ive seen in a while
In the haunted area you kept missing the secret phases which was the clues he mentioned ..they were all around you.
If I could get on a ferris wheel I would but I am like you I walk around parks by myself all the time and can't get on the giant ferris wheel either
Oh another reason why in case of emergencies that may cause problems like a panic attack or extreme fear or seizure etcetera, the other people can alert others about what's going on and if your by yourself well unless the instructor that at the bottom see you they will not know what's going on up there.
Great to see you can ride the ferris wheel today 😂. Yeay for The Carpetbagger 🎉
I my travel Buddy!! 😊 Physicaly you are alone yes, but virtually we are almost 500 000 in the passenger seat!! I appriciate you very much Jacob and Jen too!!😄 Thankyou for another great adventure with you!!!❤🫂👍 from Quebec 🇲🇶🇨🇦
Jacob! I’m so glad to see my living place getting vlogged about!!!!
👉🏼😱...THAT'LL BE ALL JACOB..THAT'LL BE ALL 😎🤟🏼
You scared the crap outta me. Your screams gave me goosebumps. Wow, what an adventure!
Loved the Farris wheel ride! Beautiful view!!!!❤
Yay!!!Thanks for bringing a little spooky to me! I can't wait for Halloween. Great video as always.
500,000 is coming Zoltar said
The haunted attraction there used to just be a walk through with jump scares. People hiding, chainsaw people, compressed air, etc. Nice to see they changed it up to keep it fresh.
The mini golf is amping up the creativity!
Hi Jacob! Thanks for all of your hard work!
Thanks for visiting my state of South carolina again
Hope you're staying hydrated from the heat
And hope your summer is going well
The "Push the buttons" mechanic kind of took a lot away from the "Haunted Experience". It's nice that they tried something new... but... it doesn't quite work for me.
Think of the money you saved by not going there yourself
Kudos to your CZcams Channel, Jacob! 👍👍👍👍👍
As someone who was once in management in the parks industry, most ride operators are instructed not to allow single riders on Ferris Wheels because of safety issues, but that is not the truth. In management they never wanted the operators to know the truth and tell the park goers. In actuality it's about $. If you allow single riders then lines for the rids would be 2 or even 3 times longer along with the wait. This would discourage patrons from entering your park, therefore you're losing money. The question by some is why isn't this allowed when there are very few people waiting? It's for consistency of policy. The same way the speed limit on a highway doesn't change if there is 1 car or 1,000 cars.
Hi Jacob I just loved the Haunted Adventure. I thought It was really well done..Loving all you are doing In Mrytle beach fantastic place..I hope you are keeping really well All the best my friend Marie XXXXX
So glad you got on that ferris wheel! I was looking forward to watching that! Thanks!
Sky Wheel is an awesome ride. We rode it at night. And you are right about the Gay Dolphin, it's not a trip to the beach if you don't go there❤
I loooove the idea of a haunted house with an escape room at the end!
I also love doing things by myself! This channel is an inspiration to go out and do more.
First time visiting Myrtle Beach and I’m thrilled to go! Thank you so much I have a better idea now what to do this weekend. 😊❤
I want to make 11:20 - 11:24 into my phone's new ringtone!!!
The Gay Dolphin closed the observation deck in 2006 for insurance reasons 34:15. They also had a WonderFall-a giant oil lamp that ran from the tower’s ceiling to the wishing well at the bottom. I always tried to reach out and touch the strings when I was a kid 😂.
We were just there 6/16-6/21. It was great to see your MB videos.
Five stars for ripley's haunted adventure!!!!!
Cool trip. I like the old fashion Ferris wheel.
Thank you Jacob for another great video.
That was FUN 😅😅😅😅😅
you are correct about the original being larger. the crazy golf side was part of it. The final room you come out of a crematorium.
Jenn will give you some put put tips, she’s good at put put! 😂
We used to go to Myrtle Beach every year when I was a kid. I haven't been since 1996 and at that point the top of the stairs at the Gay Dolphin had already been closed off for a long time. I don't ever remember ever being able to go to the top. My dad said that he had been up there at some point, but was not sure why or when it closed.
Morning Jacob 🤓📸 thanks for sharing this, your video is much longer then Jenny's and Adam lol.
That crazy golf place sure puts an interesting twist on mini golf! That looked like a lot of fun.
I'm also somebody who has always enjoyed doing things by myself. I love being able to go as fast or as slow as I want without worrying about other people getting bored spending time in front of things that interest me or speeding past things that don't. I think we autistics are much more likely to do things alone because we don't feel the social pressure that neurotypical people feel when they're alone. To them, it often feels weird or uncomfortable or self-conscious or even lonely. Not me.
Thinking about pressed pennies in the late 19th century, that would have been a much more expensive souvenir than they are now, almost like destroying a $5 bill for fun (OK, more like about $3.50, if the source I checked is accurate). I love that they're now a small, affordable souvenir!
Carpetbagger, A little early Hollerin. Always good to hear.
OMG THE GOOD OMENS SONG!!!!!
11:45 😆 If anyone wants to know what song was playing on the player piano - Maple Leaf Rag by Scoot Joplin
Really enjoyed this, this was a super fun video. Maybe someday I can visit there , and maybe I can"t and that"s why i appreciate you sharing this video and so many more. The thrills here were amazing! Thank you for sharing
great tour jacob!
Thank you sir Jacob for sharing your adventure stay safe out and about in all of your journeys
I love this video! You are hilarious!
No haunted adventure at our Ripleys in OCMD but we DID go one a four hour ghost hunt in ours and i can tell you first hand that the museum is definitely haunted. They probably all are, given the origin of some of the exhibits. Tread safely my friend!
17:01 I could be wrong but judging by his expression and his arm I think he got hit on the head with a golf ball and that's a bump rising from where he got hit.
You'd do better at miniature golf and pinball if you used a chest cam for that so you'd have both hands free. 😸
Excellent video Jake.
Just want to say I’ve LOVED the last few days of videos in Myrtle Beach. Never been to Myrtle …going asap! I enjoy your vids on the daily. Thank you Mr. Carpetbagger and Hi, Jen!
So COOL!!
Awesome thanks for sharing 😊😊😊
I really like how they did their haunt
Love this video carpetbagger and your videos are amazing but would love to see a video with you and super enthused in it together.
At 12:09 - (Three Weeks later...) "Hi everyone, this is Dan Bell and welcome to Another Dirty Room" XD
WOW! I was very impressed with the Ripley's Haunted Adventure. I have never seen anything like that and done so well. Its nice to see attractions putting money in to their haunt. Shoot out to the one guy who was running it too. I also really enjoyed the mini golf course. I am adding this location to my road trip bucket list. Thanks for showing me such a cool place. Enjoyed learning about the pressed penny and Ferris wheel history.
Nice view on the Ferris wheel !
Beautiful day !
Lots of fun😊
I'm imagining Jenn watching the minigolf part of this and shaking her head. 😃
Woohoo you made made my day Jacob!!!!!😁😁😁
Hi Jacob love your vlogs .Keep up the good work.
I was just in Myrtle last week. Would have been so amazing to run into the Carpetbagger!
Jacob you are so inspiring and kind keep up the great work
I am from MN and was vacationing at Myrtle Beach 10 years ago and was so disappointed! I was expecting a sandy beach but it was actually loaded with sharp broken seashells. I had always dreamed of seeing the ocean with a sandy beach. The hotel was a disgusting nightmare. Broadway at the beach was fun though😊
Good Afternoon " YA ALL " Jacob the Carpetbagger !!
Lol, that Buddy Holly song would have calmed me down if there were any fear.
Very Zen moment Jacob. The biggest prize you ever got from a claw machine is ...
yourself
Hi Jacob 🙋🏽. I hope you had a great day today ‼️👊🏽👍🏽💯.
