What does your channel name mean? I picked "Plant Based Bride" for my blog when I started it back in 2015 as I was starting the process of planning my vegan wedding and wanted to document it. I have been vegan for 8+ years and married since 2016!

I’m a student and read a lot of articles/course books so I just kind of stopped reading for my own enjoyment. I used to be known as the girl that walks to school reading and your videos have greatly inspired me to start reading again. So I want to thank you for your videos and all the effort you put into them❤️✨
Oh I am so so glad to read your comment! I was also the kid with her nose in a book at all times and stopped reading for pleasure in my earth twenties. It’s so nice to get back to it ❤️❤️

I don't know if someone already said this, but your Reading Around the World challenge gave me an idea to make that a completely separate journal. Basically, the beginning pages would be the world map where you color in each country as you read them like you do here. But then the following pages would be an alphabetized list of all the countries where you would write in the title and author of the book(s) your read from each country. Then the remaining pages of the journal would be reviews or thoughts you have on each book. The alphabetized list could double as a table of contents/index so you could easily find your spreads/review of each book. I hope this made sense, but I think it'd be cool to do if someone wanted a more detailed record of this challenge all in one place since it's something that would likely take years to complete.

Your reading journals have inspired me to start my own and read more. I only read 20 books last year, so my goal for this year was 25. With the reading journal waiting for me, I have found joy in reading voraciously again

Beautiful set-up and reading bujo! If you're interested, Toronto Public Library does a Reading Challenge every year and the categories are also really good at diversifying one's reading! My bestie and I have been doing it for a couple years and love how it will push out of our preferred genres and subjects :)

I adore your journal vibe. I think I will do a Dar Academia look overall because of this inspiration. So atmospheric.
Spreads I did: My Top 10 Favorite Books of All Time (as of 2023); Favorite Authors Spread; Jane Austen spread; and two I plan to do this year: Bridgerton Book Series spread; Ann of Green Gables spread.
If you're looking to diversify your Canadian authors, I'd recommend The Foghorn Echoes by Danny Ramadan. I just finished it and loved it.

I love this setup! Could watch you make spreads all day! I loved seeing your series tracker, I have a similar spread, and love it. gorgeous set up - i'm using the same a&o journal for my reading journal this year and love it! i've wanted to do a book bracket spread but have struggled to come up with one that i like and one that really works for this journal size as it's the first time i'm using an 8x8, and i think i'll have to copy your spread because it's so clean!

Oooh I'd definitely love to see more reading journal pages. I adore these type if videos, and you inspire me so much with these 🥰 I personally have an "about the reader" page, which I love. Just a little page as a kind of "profile" in your journal. Favourite genres, writers, books, tropes, quotes, characters etc. Not necessarily important, but very fun to make!

My additions to your read-around-the-world booklist:
Germany: Gerstin Gier and her Books are amazing (probably most popular is Ruby Red but I also love a castle in the clouds!) Fantastic written books which always give you a good time!
I'm also astonished, that you didn't put Mark Zusak with the Book Thief on the List.
I can also recommend Elisatbeth Hermann as a representative of the crime novel genre which is quite popular in Germany.
Austria: Ursula Poznanski is one of the most important Authors currently and this is not an understatement. She wrote Masterpieces like Erebos which is a book that will leave you breathless.
Also Marc Elsberg is worth mentioning. I loved Black Out a lot. It is thrilling and his books are always inspired by topics from reality like politics or digitalization.
Ireland: Were quite suprised, that you didn't found anything here. Ireland/Dublin is popular for its writers and even has a museum dedicated to them.
First of all, there is Oscar Wilde with the Picture of Dorian Gray.
Then, you have Jonathan Swift with Gullivers Travels.
And finally Sally Rooney with her Tik Tok phenomen Normal People.
France: I would say the Fantasy Authors from here are not to be underestimated.
Christelle Dabos with her Mirror Visitor Series is something you should look out for
And also Elénore Devillepoix but there are only the books in french and german avaiable
Norway: Jostein Gaarders Sophie's World is also a good book.
And Marie Lunde also wrote some good books :)
And because you wrote Faust on the List: If you plan to read it (or if anyone else does) I would recommend having a look into Kant and his theory about reasonablitiy which marks an important factor in the image of the modern human being. Goethe was inspired in his writing by this theory. Also good to know: The epoch of german idealism. Trust me, if you don't know the background Goethe wrote his Faust in, it can not fulfil its reputation of a Masterpiece 🙈

I'm an avid bujo user, for my daily life. It's very minimalist, and I use few colours beyond just accent coloured lines. However I've recently logged into my Goodreads account, and realized, WOW I've been tracking a lot of books since 1998!! So I found your videos, and you inspired me, to go analogue again, with keeping a record of the many books i've read over the years.

These are beautiful spreads! My reading journal is just very functional with some color highlights, and I've found myself cutting back on spreads that I realized I wasn't using enough, but I was also able to fit it in the same journal that I used last year, so I like seeing the contrast.
I also love watching the changing height of the candle in your video 😆

I love the vibe of your reading journal - just gorgeous! Well done for remembering to use your clear stamps - I have a similar problem with washi tape - I have a roll that will work perfectly with a spread and totally forget to use it, so you’ve inspired me to get the washi out and utilise it in my spreads, thank you! Are you going to colour code your ‘reading around the world’ spread by year (so maybe beige for 2022, brown for 2023)?

I think this just brought me the motivation to start reading more again. I use to read so so sooo much when i was younger. Around 16 i fell off on it. Ill be 21 in 3 weeks and im wanting to bring back good/positive habits. I think making one of these would absolutely help! I wanna make one ASAP😅

Sometimes I would put things that I am reading and sometimes vocabulary that sometimes misses understanding what it is meant but I am not so sure about that thank you for sharing what you do.
Where did you find your map for the reading around the world spread? I'm thinking about skiing the same, and I love that map!
I do goodreads, storygraph AND I do a goodreads tracker in my reading bujo :). I do use my reading bujo goodreads tracker to also track genres

So beautiful and inspiring as always! I think I managed two of my “read in 2022”-books 😂 I also transferred the ones I didn’t read to this year. Another challenge I did was write 12 books from my shelves on pieces of paper and roll them up, and every month my boyfriend gets to pick one of them for me to read! Trying to go through more of the ones I own 😅

I'd like to see how you exactly fill the pages up? Do you sit with the book you're reading on your desk and write notes as you go? or do you do it once the book is done?
I'd like to get into it but feels like a lot of work and I'm mostly reading in bed which is not conducive for note taking ^.^
I usually wait until the end of the month to sit down and make all my book entries! I take notes on my phone as I read typically so I can use those ❤️

I see you still need books from Iceland for the reading around the world challenge and I'd highly recommend books by Arnaldur Indriðason or Yrsa Sigurðardóttir. They're both really famous mystery writers and a lot of their books have been translated. I know for example Arnaldur's Operation Napoleon has a film adaption coming out soon and his Jar City and Silence of the Grave are really popular. From Yrsa I would recommend for example Last Rituals (her first book I believe) My Soul to Take and I Remember You. Tbh any of their books are a good pick for mystery fans.

Lovely book and work! What size is this book? Does it lay flat when as you get into the middle of the book? What do you recommend for a book that captures all my trips dating back to 2012? I just have lots of ephemera and pictures.
I'm very late to the game here, but I was wondering where you found the image you used for your around the world reading spread? I love your bullet journaling content, and have decided to start a reading journal for myself since I already track what I read and classic movies I watch! The around the world challenge sounds amazing, but I'm having trouble finding a good quality image without color for it.
I wish you would add POC fiction also, not just bibliographies. Why, some issues are taken up by these writers that are not just one story of one person. Richard Wagamese is a First Person from Canada you could try. Indian Horse, is my recommendation. If you do audiobooks, the narrator is great. I have adhd and sometimes listening is one way for me to get through the book, especially while driving. It keeps me calm and in control while others around me rush and take risks.
I didn’t add that as a goal because over 50% of my reading is already BIPOC authors! Making a tracker for 12 books in that category would be superfluous as it would be filled in by February.

Mrs. Jeffries has 41 or 42 books in the series. Also, the Gaslight series is on number 27. How would you track those lengthy series?
I am glad for this video, as always I loved it. But there are definitely series with a whole lot more books 😅😅😅
This year I'm re-reading 2 series; first one has 68 books, second one has 3 branches, the one I am choose has 28 books (if I'd chosen the full serie, it has 49 books).

great layouts. I do a non year reading journal.... my aim is to read one book a month. I cannot do anymore as I am also a crafter of different things. my pages include books to read, Books finished (with book racket above it ), Quotes,wishlist and thats it
