I listened to the audiobook of One Dark Window and really liked it (I'm not entirely sure how at this point), then I re-read it physically... Safe to say I do not hold that book in high esteem. (And I hate the sequel with a burning passion.) I have absolutely no idea why people think it could even come close to adult fantasy, it just doesn't make sense to me it's clearly YA. I also legitimately forgot that the main character wasn't a teenager..

Im saving this… i have book reports and i NEED to be able to understand them, i live reading books, but im a procrastinator and have slight dyslexia so… its a little hard for me to pick up a book.

The MC in a House With Good Bones is autistic, not quirky. I guess that’s why I vibed with it. It was fun. I’m sorry you didn’t like it. But I thought it was actually good internal life representation of an autistic mind.

Since Kobo isn't available in Brazil, I use the Kindle app on my mobile device. I utilize its tabs and highlights, though I can't add additional information directly as you can do it on Libra Colour (still seems a magical device for me, seriously is heaven-made, right?) my colour-code notes system consists of : - blue for quotes I might share on my Tumblr later - pink for romantic or relationship - yellow for worldbuilding or important details - orange for notes that defy categorization (usually when I get lost in the reading) for academic texts, I download them on my iPad and use GoodNotes to annotate. unlike with my Kindle notes, I don't define any colours, I let the text guide my note-taking, with mandatory readings in international affairs I don't have enough neurons to think about colour code this time haha also, hi, this is the first video I've watched from you and love your way of explaining things!

I really want an e-reader but so far none reply to my 2 criteria: having colors AND access to a huge catalogue of books (traditionally published or self-published.)…. Also, this is probably a question for annotating on physical books but… do you ever regret writing on the books themselves ? This is really the big thing that makes me not annotate : I cannot write on my books, especially as I tend to do some shelves cleaning once a year and donate books to the local library …

lol, it _is_ worth nothing that ODW is 399 pgs and POTOT is 848 pgs, so not only is it trying to accomplish things ODW is not, it also has more than double the time to do so. that said, I have personally raged about the incongruent world-building in POTOT far more 😂it drives me crazy that it's supposed to be a "matriarchy" but is just a patriarchy headed by a woman (for one very obvious thing: matriarchies don't have the concept of "bastards" because the child's mother is always known and therefore so is their surname and inheritance. it's like saying the UK was suddenly a matriarchy while the queen was alive and Thatcher was elected)

I read Yeeted before Saved a Demon and it's 100% the best book in the series (and the only one that I personally chose to buy after reading)

I'm not sure it's considered romantasy per se, but your gripes with with That Time I Got Drunk and Saved A Demon made me think you might really enjoy T Kingfisher's Saint of Steel series. Adults discussing their issues! Mutual pining! No power imbalances! The second book, Paladin's Strength, might be particularly to your liking, because the heroine is just as big and strong as the hero, and his need to be the big, strong protector is definitely challenged and worked on in their relationship.

This is the first reading vlog that I like. No kidding It is the first! I usually find them boring and not usefull for me and don't watch them. I want the book and not the booktuber cooking dinner, making crafts or "this is how I look on sofa reading". I love your combination of spoiler free & not! This is just perfect. And I feel you are honest about the book and not too much "sorry that I don't like it but you do" [ that is getting boring as we all like different things or maybe we agree on 2 books but not on next 20 🤷‍♀️]. I love 'reading until you find a 5-star book videos' so would definitely like to see more - and not even just for romantasy. I have such trouble finding 5-star books - I've only had one so far this year, and only had two the whole of last year... (Though I've had nearly thirty 4-star reads so far this year, so I'm not lacking in enjoyable reading experiences!)
