- While this will appear to be a big commercial for XINHS, I did purchase all the cables from their store. If you haven't figured out that I like cables yet, keep watching.

I stumbled upon the XINHS store last month and after going through the reviews, ordered a bunch of 8 core 2.5mm balanced cables for all of my IEMs.
Very nice. I have mostly 2.5mm 8 and 4 cores, whichever fits.

I was drawn to the thick cables but they certainly have a variety. More important, message them if you are looking for something different, terminations, L type connectors, shorter lengths, etc. Just wanted to get a couple ideas out there of what they have been doing quietly.

Awesome. They are really handy on the custom connectors or custom length. I have a thing for L shaped connections. Which cable did you buy?
Thanks for the recommendation of this cable store. Just picked up a 2.5 connection with TFZ. Haven't seen this combination anywhere especially for $10.00 Thanks again.
Ah yes good point. I could probably find one but easier at XINHS since the offer all the connections on all the cables usually.
Just received my custom (8 Core) XINHS in a Gold and Silver mix Litz 6N Single Crystal Copper 4N Silver.......Looks great and sounds magical ....
I am waiting on their 4 core Pure Silver Pro. Taking a while to get here.

Thanks for the info! I'm more of a soft & ropy kinda guy. That's one of the reasons why I still like the Tripowin Zonie and the KBEAR Rhyme cables. Both seem to fall a bit better than the XINHS that I recently received. All 3 are silver plated copper 8 core but the Zonie and Rhyme both are softer and fall more easily around the neck. Gotta say though; the XINHS I've got has got a bit less microphonics than the previously mentioned two. THAT I really like, because I hate hearing the cable rubbing against my clothing between tracks.
I know exactly what you are saying and not alone. Other than the 24 core cables which are braided similarly, there hasn't been a really ropey cable recently. I might have to ask about custom 8 cores with thinner cores, tighter braiding. It is a bit surprising to me how many people liked those soft 16 core cables. Thanks
If you like thick cable then you should also check ISN Audio's H16 or C16.

Someone on headfi posted that these ones have a very low resistance which got me interested but sadly, no shipping from AliExpress to where I am
Just ordered my own custom cable. It's a reasonable shop.
What type of cable? Too late now, but I typically ask for a photo before shipping on the custom cables. He likes to ship very fast but I am fine waiting a day to see a picture.

Any cable will work fine with Orchestra. The two affordable cables on my desk are NiceHCK's Blackcat and RedAg. XINHS cables are great but you need to wait for a sale period.
Thanks already went with xinhs 6n occ copper 8 core, its the same as gokus 0.15 ohms cable but instead of combined 4n silver, i went with all copper modular. But really thankful for your cable videos.
I have FAAEAL and it is in "earhook" style. I would like to change it to normal style. If i cut the protecting plastics on the cable (nearby the earbuds), would it be normal style?
I haven't tried it with a FAAEL, but yeah that will work. Just need to be super careful to not cut the cable.
The thicker Mix 8 core braided cable costed you how much ?
$40ish but it really depends on the current pricing. That was a $22usd cable plus a $38usd cable. His pricing on unlisted cables is a bit of a negotiation
Could you explain "core count" for me? I've googled it and almost every explanation is different. I cant tell if a higher core count = thinner or thicker cable
Core count is nothing more than it appears, the number of wires braided together. The thickness is sometimes specified as core thickness but even so, you don't get an overall thickness usually. Core thickness is also fairly obvious, the wires used in 16 cores are going to be much thinner than 4 core cables. 8 core is where you see some crossover, there are some thick 8 core cables like the graphene cables.
@@PaulWasabii Ok, so core count doesnt directly correlate to the overall thickness of the cable. Any advantaged to higher core count vs lower core count? flexibility or such?

How do you feel about these vs GoldenDay by NiceHCK
I have quite a few NiceHCK and along with KBEAR, the two other cables I purchase. My only concern with NiceHCK is the price, I only buy them on big sales.
@@PaulWasabii Yeah, theres sale today I was debating getting the nicehck one but I might not and instead go for the XINHS as I need something comfy and Idk how comfort would be on the Nicehck cables
Does it fit iem with recessed pin like starfield?
You can have them use recessed 2pin on the cable or extended 2pin. I typically order recessed as it almost always works on recessed IEMs also. If the actual 2pin on the shell is not flush, but sitting below the shell slightly, I would order extended 2pin just in case.
@@PaulWasabii no, i mean can you still use recessed 2 pin on iem that has connector sit below the shell? Does it still works? Does it fit securely?
