Great video, glad to watch a cable review where the reviewer doesn't talk about the sound signature of the cable lol
Great looking forward to the cables review coming soon.
Was looking for a review on these!
This is a great cable. I've a custom made graphene cable (4 core vs the 8 core) who originally makes some cables for Linsoul. It's a really nice cable, the best i have for sure
cable looks incredible
Have you done the major cable comparison yet? I’ve checked back thru your older videos as well and haven’t had any success locating it. I’m guessing perhaps tho that you just have been completely loaded down with tons of other videos and reviews etc. But that said, I have the Euphrosyne and love it and had been thinking about the nymph for a while and then caught this video a couple weeks ago. I’ll prob end up purchasing it to try as well. Thanks for all the awesome content bud!
Just order this for my IE 900, hope it’s good, it does complement the looks of IE 900 really well
Superb cable review, honest and spot on!
Thanks Greg :)
I’m wanting to get that Linsoul Euphrosyne Litz Type 6 5N OCC Silver Plated OCC Cable like you have in blue but I want the sort of copper and white version. I know you seem to be fond of that cable, so how would you rate it(loosely) against say the FiiO lc-2.5D silver cable? And no I’m not one who thinks these cables make any big changes in sound unless you start upping or lowering impedance on the dac/amp. I’m all about the quality of materials and the aesthetic value involved. I dont entirely throw out the concept of a “synergy” that can occur between different parts of our audio equipment. Last thing, any experience with KBear cables? I obtained one of their more premium cables, all copper, thick and has Somme heft to it. Link: KBEAR 8 Core Upgrade Earphone Cable Detachable Single Crystal Copper with 2.5mm Plug for TIN Audio T2 T3 T2 PRO KBEAR F1 HQ5 HQ6 Shure SE215 SE535 UE900 MAGAOSI K5 (2.5MM, MMCX). Sorry to go on but I have a bit of a ‘interest’ in all these damn cables. Jeeeez this hobby is addictive and expensive.
@@gregwomack8162 haha no worries I'm a fiend for good cables, really is an area that can make or break a setup for me. That Linsoul euphrosyne is fantastic quality and I love the way it performs. I haven't seen the Fiio in person so can't pass too much comment, from the braid pattern it may not be as pliable.as I like. Kbear are great value, nicehk are another solid option I found and I haven't tried the new Kinera models yet but am getting some in soon and they look great (some with a interchangeable jack system)
@@AudioLevels thanks for cable tips. I can verify that the FiiO lc-2.5d(also in 3.5 and 4.4) is very supple and flexible with no memory retention or cable noise. It’s a 4core to the splitter then 2 core left and right. It’s fairly light. Only drawback for some will be the $100.00 cost.
Did you ever do the larger cable comparison video? Not seeing it in your videos but would definitely be interested!
I would love to see the DUNU DUW02 in the roundup if at all possible (Or any of the DUNU cable line up really). I swear by this IEM cable, by far the best I've used. That said my sample size is low so having someone such as yourself give your opinion would be fantastic. For me, 80 bucks, high quality, interchangeable jacks, right angle connections, nice hand feel etc etc make them a winner.
Yup Dunu will heavily feature. I have the Hulk, Hulk Pro and another couple and they are fantastic. The interchangeable cable system for someone like me who uses different sources is amazing.
@@AudioLevels I think what I like about the DUW02 specifically is how little they sacrifice at $79 over the much more expensive options. They only come with 1 jack, so if you want a balanced 4.4 for example, it's an add-on, but you only pay for what you need with your own equipment. The build quality is right up there with their 2-300 options.
Totally agree. Such a shame the DUW02 has been discontinued. Best value cable around (imo).
THANK YOU. I have the Excalibur (un-f-ing-believable cable). Paid the same(ish) for the Mammoth, got them *today*, and WOW everyone’s not kidding. The cable, it’s…it’s…it’s like a strand of hay and some polypropylene pellets made out for a while, then died in a fire. And then got packed in with, imho, a fantastic carry case with a “I’m a believer, screw those snobs” pair of iem’s.
Don’t know that I’ll splurge for this $120 sexy offering, maybe, but one thing’s for sure, I’ve been thankful for your audio channel for some time now.
Made for mortals who think maybe there are a lot of right answers, rather than of a lot of wrong ones.
Thanks : I really appreciate that comment and those sort of things make me really enjoy the channel.
If anything the Chifi stuff has done is put notice to the big overpriced brands is that you better start offering your stuff with zero oversight. Everything needs to be on point.
Go have a look around Linsoul for cables, they usually have good ones. Triptowin nucool is great at $50 and the Euphrosyne (review on this channel) are bangers for the money :)
For this kind of price it should have interchangeable connectors. Something like Thieaudio Smart Cable. That one looks really nice. I would like to see a comparison between this one and Thieaudio Smart Cable if you can get it.
Thank you. Do you have a video with high end cables that also have a mic?
I am not a cable expert, but understand some of the basic physical background (not in full depth, of course). So I have purchased some nice, but affordable cables from Aliexpress. They are on 2,5 mm jack, so that I can run them balanced from my Qudelix 5K.
I haven't got any higher grade IEM, have a Tinhifi T2, an Urbanfun and recently got myself a Tripowin Mele.
I might go for a 7Hz Timeless around Christmas, the reviews are promising. That set might deserve a nicer cable, so I will consider this one, as well.
In my experience, the cables I got from Aliexpress have been fantastic. Never had an issue and they are usually of great value.
another thought. perhaps making a cable making tutorial might be interesting.
Its been a while since iv made cables. Could be fun though.
@@AudioLevels I'd bet it's less time than it's been for me!
@@gizmotis going on 15 since i last busted out the soldering iron…. Between cmoys, imods and cables iv wasted many hours haha how the hobbys changed.
For that money..I expect a nice cable, interchangeability at BOTH ENDS!
Keep one end at 2.5 Balanced..and have adapters to go 3.5 single ended , 4.4 Balanced and old school 6.4.
At the IEM’s end an adapter that gives MMCX and an Open .78 and oversized closed .78 ..also 3.5mm for most headphones that’ll take them.
That would be awwesome
Does this video still hold? Any new cables you would recommend?
I own them, but I can't say I share the same enthusiasm.
They're so bloody heavy it's like being shackled down to my desk. The metal splitter and slider are are so dense I feel like it's going to pull the IEM out of my ear as it swings back and forth when I head bang. What's more, the weight hurts my ears after an hour or so.
The euphrosyne is good though. It has the same premium feel and, while heavy, doesn't have the same drawbacks as the nymph.
Whats the drawbacks on the nymph vs the euphrosyne? More pliable, less resistant to tangles, better materials. Theres less than 1g difference in weight between the Euphrosyne and Nymph and that's probably down to one being 2.5 and the other 3.5... virtually negligible..... only thing I can think of that's better on the Euphrosyne is the value for money perspective.
Curious why so few angled jacks, why would they miss on the conveniece?
It’s interesting to me how some people believe cables change sound and some don’t. Always a fun topic.
Yeh to me its nothing to get upset about, I don't hear it but if someone does or thinks they do and that makes them enjoy their listening sessions more then that's a good thing..... The only thing that's strange is how using an aftermarket cable always seems to positive 😂. You don't here many people saying I bought this 100 dollar cable and it messed up the sound haha
@@AudioLevels great point! 😂
I changed cables to run my IEM’s ( and headphones) in balanced mode …and because the cables that you generally get with IEM’s are garbage.
I don't know. take your best, most expensive iems, and run them thru a $5 cable and see what you hear. the question in my mind is, is the difference worth the money? differences can be very subtle after a certain point which imo lessens the value and becomes more a point of showing off how much money you have to play with.
@@gizmotis It’s not so much a question of throwing money at a perceived problem..the line becomes where you draw it.
Most cables that are supplied are let’s face it JUNK…tangles and kinks and may not have your preferred termination.
Sometime to enjoy the product..you need a tweek or two 🥳
Does this fit the u12t?
What a great channel! I’m so glad I’ve discovered it :) I’m looking to buy an mmcx 3.5 mm cable for my modded Koss porta pros. I believe I won’t get a big sound upgrade with a $100 cable, so…any reasonably priced propositions? Many thanks!
It would be nice to get your thoughts on the small 2pin and mmcx adapters which are available now. The adapter makes the mmcx or 2pin connectors interchangeable for the iem/cable. I haven't used them as yet however.
Definetly interested in that
I actually saw a very very similar cable as the blue one in your video which only sell for around 10USD, its called JCALLY JC20, not sure if it is the same cable?
Looks the same but different from what I can tell different hardware, and little differences in the look. The linsoul is also litz type 6 with this softflex material on the sheeting........ however...... this is a very good spot and I am going to order one.... all the options are there (2pin, MMCX, QDC etc) so at that price this could be killer value. Thanks for the heads up.... love when people give useful tips like this :D
@@AudioLevels it's all good! Lowkey hope you can do a comparison between the two? I have the JCALLY ones and I actually was surprised about the quality of that price 🤔
@@michaelaffdhan3855 do you have the JC20 or another? Def picking up the 20 but interested to order a few and do a comparisson.
@@AudioLevels I do have the JC20 and I'm loving it, but the only thing I can judge is by the looks of both the JC20 and the ones in the video, not sure about the material quality and such
@@michaelaffdhan3855 Hey what can you tell me about the MIC of JC20? Is it good? I am planning to buy them.
Can you tel me the differences between Tripowin Jelly vs Linsoul Nymph? Thanks.
Braid is a little tighter on the jelly, nymph flows better. Graphene will make it a bit more durable (in theory) on the Nymph. Jelly uses a combination of silver and copper. The price is 3 times higher on the Nymph performance (movement/microphonics), and looks are probably not worth 3 times the price. In my opinion, the nymph is better to use and looks better. Both will sound precisely the same if the impedance is the same. Oh, and the copper may oxidize over time unless they are using oxygen free.
@@AudioLevels Thank so much. I will buy Jelly 'cause the sound seem to be the same and 3 x cheeper.
@@pinkyfloydyfan1 Haha yup thats what id do :) Let me know what you think when it arrives.
cables manufacturer should make modular jacks from now, one cable quality should came the same with the jack and the pin, if one has lower grade quality then there's no use of other material in the whole cable. once i used a cheap adapter and the one from sony iems, man i surely notice the difference just in 5 second of music start.
