We don’t need a live action reboot we need an animated adaptation of the show

As long as most of the characters are voiced by their live action actors. Rick, Shane, Negan. Etc.
If they did an animated adaption would you like them to keep Daryll from the show or keep it 100% comic accurate?
Nah we need a sitcom adaptation of the show.

From what I remember, the lady who played Andrea, Laurie Holden, was absolutely screwed over - she was meant to live until at least season 8/9 and they wrote her off for shock value.
I feel like the way Andrea was written in the show (from the beginning) never created the right chemistry with Rick for the comic plot to be used, and I’m glad they didn’t try to force that relationship upon the characters! Like can you really imagine her & show Rick falling in love after her fling with the Governor..? It felt way more natural with Michonne! And that left Ezekiel open for the relationship with Carol - which ended up also being a beautiful change from the comics! (In my opinion)
For a time I wanted to see Gabriel's comic book death, feel like it could've benefitted the whisperer war or reaper arc with their lack of big deaths, but I wouldn't want to see Father G go either
they should’ve given that death to Luke
In some ways I feel disappointed they didn’t show his death as it was hinted at a lot around season 10 like to a point it felt like they were setting it up then nothing
Father G is one of my favs - but I think he should have died before Maggie saves him in the final - alternatively when he faces Pope so we still get the Aaron episode with them both :)
@@BritishBriggsy you could also have given him Dwight’s death from the comics. We see in season 10 that he’s become a much stronger leader and more extreme in his actions so you could easily give him Dwight’s rule of seeing the commonwealths floors and wanting to kill Pamala and take control for the greater good. Then you give at Aaron’s ricks role in the comic that begin kill Gabriel when he pulls a gun on Pamala gives this big emotional moment as Aaron kills a friend for the greater good of the community (as said in the comics Rick has to kill Dwight like this. Dwight in the comics is ricks second hand man after all out war and is basically the closest thing to Daryl so Rick killing him is almost like if Rick had to kill Daryl for the greater good)
They teased the holy hell out of it though lmao
Carl getting killed off started such a domino effect!! I would have loved to see during the whisperer arc. He had such a big part to play and it was right around the corner when they killed him off. I still very much liked the Whisperer arc but it could have been way better with Carl. If we still had both Carl and Rick it could have been one of the best arcs of the series
I love telling friends that are fans of the show how god awful they did Andrea from the comics. There’s always a moment of disbelief that she’s that badass in the comics.
If I made the video, I would started out the intro saying "CARL BEING ALIVE"

The prison arc was so much darker in the comic that would’ve had to been on HBO. I always wish Michonne went after Alpha in the comic since she was dating Ezekiel
Eugene's first Human kill, I actually kinda believe the stunt double who died filming s8 might have been that.
I personally liked the whisperer arc in both the show and the comics however the show left out a couple scenes and interactions from the comics i really wanted to see Rick or Carl interact with Alpha on the show and especially Beta vs. Negan, oh how we were robbed of a proper fight between Negan and Beta 😢
Legit I'll never forget the show for leaving out these moments, especially the Negan Vs Beta fight

If they ever want to make a faithful animated adaption of the comics, they should get me to show run it because I'm basically doing it already with my Comic dub series. I'd definitely get my voice actors, including David Greyson, to be part of it!! That would be amazing tbh. Great video Jerry!!
Quick show of hands, who wants AMC to lose the TWD rights and have either Amazon Prime or HBO do an animated remake in 10-15 years in the style of the comic
Personally I think the entire Commonwealth arc is another thing that is handled much better in the comics. In the comics it's more if a political/bureaucratic struggle where Rick is trying with all his might to prevent another All Out War, knowing they'd lose. There's no true villain side.
However, in the show Lance and Pamela are just your generic villains the group needs to overcome; something we've already seen so many times. It also did not make sense to me that the main group actually stands a chance against a large, trained Commonwealth army. It felt really contrived to me

I 1 million percent disagree about the whisperers in the comics being better than the show. The show gave more depth to Alphas insanity, gave us some new characters, added more to Negans dynamic with Alpha gave Beta more in terms of his story etc. there are some things the show did better and that was absolutely one of them

I wish that Andra wasn’t one of the worst characters of the show. In comic books she was a badass. I wish we could have gotten that on the show. Even Carl and Jesus were badass in comic books.
I wish that they would make a comic accurate cartoon as wel as a comic of the TV show.

@@jerrystakes It was just a thought but what you and movieidol said it does make sense, I haven't read through comics only first few issues but I am aware of those plots there from twd retrospective etc. I really wanted Rick and Carl to be there after season 8 completaly, no matter how those seasons were good with some things in them it just didn't work that well, Henry or Judith or even RJ can't replace Carl, I was excited to see him look older at Hilltop and even if Andrew left just like that it wouldn't feel som empty without him if Carl was there
Rick vs Alpha could've been interesting
On the other hand I am glad there was something bigger like a boogie towards all these shows meaning the CRM, the show was amazing to some point but last two episodes I don't know, it was too rushed, the reunion couldn't even happen in Alexandria cause walls are down and it was so enexpected it took away something from it, and the whole Universal threat was just..gone, doesn't feel right

Gabriel’s death , Carols prison death , god that gave me shivers when I found that out. Rick grimes dying should have never happened An actual adaption of the character of Dwight I see / read Charlie Hunnam when I observe the comics.
The actor they got sucked. The other problem is when we have Daryl , making Dwight a thing felt forced.

The governor should have had his pirate attire the second time he faced our survivors. Alpha actually acting like Alpha but I’ve been over that and never forgetting it. Negan and her were the most hyped I felt towards a villian and they butchered both castings and could have been so much better after that I didn’t really think we would ever get a top villain again and I was right. Shhhhh ☝️ don’t bring up Beale … just don’t. 👍

Daryl getting Glenn’s comic book death. It was the most hyped thing to talk about before negan showed up. It felt fitting and the most right.
It's a damn shame they killed Carl. He became my favorite character in the comics. He started as just a character who was there, and gave Rick a reason to keep fighting. As time went on he became one of the most interesting people in the comics. Plus his relationships with Negan, Lydia, and Sophia were great.
One thing I do disagree about is Lori and Judith's death being sad. At least for me. I just don't like Lori. She's my least favorite character other than the Governor. She was just naggy, and a bitch. I hated when she got mad at Carol when she tried to kiss her. Like I understand you don't want to do that, but at least when Carol did it to Rick he wasn't a complete asshole. I was way more sad when Andrea died. Andrea was great character I wish they would've done her justice in the show.
