I am Portuguese but R9 is to me the greatest talent ever.
Without injuries and with super teams like CR7 Real and Messi's top Barça, he would have scored 60 goals per season every year and would have won every ballon D'or of the decade.
R9 had the pace and power of CR7 and the on ball skill of Messi. All in one.
Kids will never know to what point he was revolutionary in his days.
At the age of 17-18 he was destroying the Dutch league to the point no one could believe their eyes. He won Ballon Dor at 19 and 20 and would have kept going non stop if not for his sequence of career ending injuries. But even then, after 2 ligaments ruptures in his knees, he came back heavy and slow for his standards. Result? World Cup winner and Best Player in the World once again.
Any other player in history would be relevantly over after that. But R9 talent for this sport was just too much.

I came here after one of them said he would be on Cristiano and Messi's level. Messi and Cristiano can't hold a candle to peak Ronaldo, and I doubt they could play half as well as he did while in their late 30's, overweight and tough surgeries on both knees

This is an actual fact: Ronaldo scored about 414 goals in total in his career. 88, which is about 21%, of those goals were goals in where he passed the goalkeeper before scoring. That's nuts!

You guys can't even imagine how good he was. I saw him playing multiple times in San Siro when he was in Inter Milan in the 90s. I've never seen such a pure talent, a god among men. Watching his moves, live in the stadium was art.
His agility and speed was incredible if you think that he was not a "lightweight". Against laws of physics.
He and del piero were insane back then. The undisputed nr 1 and nr 2 of football. Then they both ruptured their knee in the same year. Never to be the same again.

"Passing" is a whole mechanic into the game it's not only the skill and the accuracy, it is the vision, the intelligence, the reading of the game, changing sides, retaining the ball, short and long passes through making assists and pre-assists, basically Messi owns the midfield in every match

Fenômeno tinha altura para cabecear e fazia com maestria,velocidade no drible e dribles desconcertantes,tamanho corporal para trombar,muito veloz com e sem a bola,podia chutar tanto com o pé direito quanto com o pé esquerdo,habilidoso,atacante 9(centroavante que é o mais caro,porém,sabia buscar jogo e desbravar defesas),ganhou duas copas do mundo e foi três vezes melhor do mundo. Enfim... não atoa era chamado de FENÔMENO! Uma pena que por programas de saúde sua carreira foi interrompida cedo.

With all his skill, strength and speed... if he never suffered serious injuries and continued progressing, i will say he would be considered to this day, hands-down, the best player to ever played football by a long margin. To this day, his career feels like a curse: "I'll give you the best set of skills any football player ever had, and push them to the max... but you won't be able to use them for many years".
He was the most humble player. Fastest ever with the ball. All greats have different attributes, while he had everything combined. His horrific knee injuries stopped his career, but there is no one better the him in his prime years. One interesting fact, he scored 88 goals after going through the goalkeeper in his professional career. No one comes close.

It pisses me off when people keep saying he would have been as good as R7 and Messi if I had played these days. Man, come on. He was naturally more talented than both. They would never have survived the 90s. R9 had no equals pre-injury and there were fantastic players during those years. I will admit that Messi is the best player since R9 and has been lucky to have not been injured so that he's played many more games than R9 did due to injuries. R7 is not in the same league...sorry...He's worked extremely hard, but is not a natural like the other two.
Nice video dudes. I have a suggestion, you guys could react to Ronaldo playing in Corinthians. It was the last club that he played here in Brazil. Corinthians is a very big club here with more than 30 million suporters. When Ronaldo signed the contract, he was coming back from a very serious knee surgery and he was fat hahaha. NO ONE was imagining that he would play in high level again. Well, I am a Corinthians fan here in Brazil and i can say that Ronaldo played here with 10%-15% of his real capacity and even though he was far to be in his best shape, he literally destroyed the other players and won 2 titles (and he scored goals in both finals). As I said Corinthians is very popular so for sure you will get a lot of views also.
