Well deserved win for Germany. Nigeria was almost exclusively defending and hoping for a fast counter attack. And what was Nigerias coach thinking by letting some of his best players on the bench? Did he think Germany was going to be an easy opponent, and he could preserve some energy for coming games?
The same think I was thinking! He didn't even use his third substitution. Anyway the better said won.

germany deserved the win though but i think ti would have been closer if those players played.
germany were bullying us around all over the field and doing backheels and makin our defenders look like babies.
they were several steps ahead of us the entire game and they came in knowing they would win this game no matter what.
everytime we tried to make something happen, germany would be all over us. they looked like they had 20 players on the pitch and we had 5.
it was pretty poor and if not for our keeper, we would have lost 4-0

We've had this group of guys together since age 13. We should not give up on them now. Remember they're only 16,17and 18 years olds. They look undersized compare to other teams in this competition yet promising. In this squad, we've got the best players we've ever produced in youth tournaments. Let us not give up on them now. I still believe these guys are the real deal and the future of our national team. By the time they gain som physicality this team will be absolutely unstoppable.

Where is Öztunali now? I know Where the Leicester forward Iheanacho is today even though he was on the bench for most of this tournament and the Union Berlin Striker Awoniyi as well as the Leicester city midfielder Ndidi and Villa real Chukwueze who was also on the bench in this game.

i believe the coach thinks we have qualified for the next round and wanted to give some boys the chance to prove themselves. if that is the case then that one match loss means nothing. i better rest my good players and have them mentally ready to play the next important match than phase off of steam
