      E - Money I think the key factor in the near future for african teams will be having the same manager for at least 4 years and the players being more professional when they play for their national team.

    • @akapojoseph7554
      @akapojoseph7554 Před 8 lety +3

      E - Money many African teams have this problem if not all. This is different in other continents. FIFA is not to blame but CAF and different FAs which make up CAF.
      I hope things change. It's time for an African team to win the World cup at the senior level.

    I guess just laugh it off and appreciate and cherish when they scored goals and won. It's a great feeling when you scream out a goal that means something (I.e. Against Germany, or the first goals from Mexico against chile) those victories would give me a positive outlook through out those days, feeling accomplished. Good times.

  • @henrydave87
    @henrydave87 Před 8 lety +13

    Every goal was sumptuous albeit on some defending lapses. Mexico showed their mental strength and knowing a good team as theirs, they always find ways to come back. On the other hand Nigeria proved too much of an offensive clinical weapon for mexico to handle. Moreover they showed their hands too early by having all subs used. the atmosphere seemed awry as their best players were out, its like they are not fit enough. Osseimen is a Menace worked that defense as if they were playing up front. Mexico's play seemed weird as their players spent time and time again trying to position their body to match the physicality of the Nigerians instead of playing football. it just looked weird to me.
    Two good teams with a bright future.

    • @wiirules13
      @wiirules13 Před 8 lety

      i agree with the first part of what you said but too early??you expect a losing team to put all subs in the last 10 min,especially when it's a hard physical game like this!? You must not watch that match football or play as much since shielding is a very important aspect in gaining control especially with a rival like Nigeria that is stronger and if they didn't do that they would have lost the ball many more times. Yes it may look a bit awkward but nonetheless they gain control and attacked well after those moves

    • @henrydave87
      @henrydave87 Před 8 lety

      That sentence of I must not watch the game is ridiculous. Isn't where my opinion stems from? Try to change my view. Not ridicule me with that baseless sentence.
      Being level headed. Yes you are right. You've said what I'm alluding to in a more positive way. I was only mention how things seemed. Because Mexico lost that edge to create more chances. You could say like my mexican friend they were trying to play fancy. I disagree that they were direct even leading to the 2nd goal. But that spark wasn't to be found as they tried to win the physical battles consistently. Play your game be witty about it and be direct. Croatia did that. Nigeria played well, but Mexico gifted 3 of those goals to nigeria uncaristiclly.

    • @henrydave87
      @henrydave87 Před 8 lety

      Hey its not a bad thing to use all subs early. Blame the coach for believing only two of his players are ready for the next stage according to the commentator.

    • @wiirules13
      @wiirules13 Před 8 lety

      My bad i meant not watch footbal*much* not that match specifically. Addressing your other points, yes i agree Mexico did make stupid mistakes such as the free kick foul was really not necessary and also the 3rs goal i believe where Nigeria Counter attacked right after a mexico forward tried to give a fancy backheel pass instead of play simple(GK swallowed up the goals as well). When you mention the word direct i know what you mean but yet again my emphasis on the physicality of both teams mexico wasn't going to go head to head since Nigerians are stronger thus they relied on quickness and using passing/skills well yet that explains the 2nd goal for them since you cam tell the Nigerian players weren't even anticipating the player to dribble all the way in more of a pass they were expecting. I don't think that pk was rightfully called as well but i guess the 2 Nigerian shots that hit post made up for that. Mex didn't givr up even until the end they kept attacking even when Nigerian player #20 purposely wasted time twice even though they were up which shows Mex intensity until the end. Their are diff styles of football and i think mex was great in adapting to their situation and also if you look at Messi when he was starting out he was shield like that as well over time players learn to make it seem more natural. I think the subs were fine i mean as a coach you understand the tempo and composure of games and mex did well just that they didn't capitalize on chances and became unfocused and gave away stupid mistakes.

    • @wiirules13
      @wiirules13 Před 8 lety +2

      David Henry I hear you out,i just want to make the point that Mexico wasn't easy for them like many other Nigerians claim as if they got demolished bc if they saw the game they would know that wasn't truth . Nonetheless good football all in all very entertaining match and good luck to them in finals.

    Those every year young looking Mexicans that claim to be U-17. U-17 indeed. The young lads of Nigeria are just naturally too strong for the older men looking U-17 Mexicans. The Mexican's control of the ball is clearly above the standard and age of the U-17 boys category but even against the most bravery in contest does not always carry the day in a soccer game where luck plays a part in deciding the outcome of football matches. Congrats Nigeria, the future looks bright

      LOL A nigerian accusing other countries of using over aged players that is fucking ironic as hell considering Nigeria always uses over aged players. If it wasn't for mri scanning this year i have no doubt nigerians would've used 21+ aged players. Also didn't the Nigerian womens team get disqualified for paying somebody off? cant remember if its the men or women's team. doesnt matter, every nation knows Nigeria cheated before and theyll do it again if they get the chance. This was a good game, the mexicans had so many chances and dominated this game.

    The main thing here now is that we beat Germany and Argentina! That was awesome and the game against Nigeria was great to even if we lost. The boys gave it all and we needed a better goalie!

    dam nigeria really have an incredibe offence the way they open up the two winger in counter attacks and the speed they build up is incredible , along with the great individual technique each players has ... really interesting to see them grow up
    really thought this mexico team was going to outplay nigeria with team play and ball control .. nigeria just broke mexico, soccer is everything in mexico , and nigeria still won . props

      +marioni bruno lol sadly it doesnt work that way for Nigeria, As soon as they get their paycheck they are done with training and hard work... they will retreat to living the dream life and wear out of form real fast... check the record Nigeria has won a lot of U-17 and U-20 but their Senior team is always weak.

      Paul Oomel agree,same thing happens in the FMF. They get comfortable in domestic league and to strive for anything better. Also the fact that most of them aren't as physically matched with their European and south american counter parts plays a big part as well. The National team is also slowly starting to develop their own style of play with the mix and balance of their domestic/international players . Also most of this i quote from youth team/coaches in mexico that they say is the problem. Since there is no doubt they have talent and potential in youth level is slowly starting to translate to mens team.

    It was a good game for Nigeria and Mexico missed so many chances. I feel like the Mexican GK could've done more but in my opinion the ref did a good job but to me that was not suppose to be a penalty. Anyways, I wish good luck to the Nigerians and I hope we can get 3rd place against Belgium.

      Mexico's second goal was way better man. He took on the whole defense and finished with class. The other goal was a wild rocket shot. If you don't think Mexico's goal was better, you need to watch a different sport because you know nothing

      Check most previous winners of the FIFA Puskás Award for best goal in a season, they are simply long range goals. The Mexico 2nd goal was cool but those defenders didn't make any effort to counter the solo run.
