    the problem why Nigeria or Africa dont do well in world cup is just simple , they dont have a good footballing league and football management is poor period its never more than this because i believe africa have more raw talent than any European countries worldwide , this guys learn how to play ball themselves unlike the messi , ronaldo and all other players who goes through academy from age 5 years to 7

      +Steve Danny Very good and objective analytical comment about Nigerian and African football. Quite often, the biggest problem is because of Poor Management and Corruption by officials at the higher level. But things are changing gradually. Africa has already caught up with the rest of the world - at the Youth Level. Next, they will begin emerging regularly at the Higher Level. Watch the next 3 to 4 World Cups and don't be surprised if an African Team emerges in the finals, and maybe even wins it all. It will happen soon. Just watch.

    • @simgarfu
      @simgarfu Před 8 lety +3

      +ProjectGuantanamo Not even close. African nations (especially Nigeria) have dominated youth WC for years now and have been pure shit at WC. This argument has been made since early 90's when this trend was becoming very prevalent. That's multiple generations (in soccer terms) of Nigerian WC winners at the youth stage that have gone on to the adult level only to continue the mediocrity that is unfortunately still prevalent with African teams at the WC. Cameroon is still the only team to ever make the Semi's and that was in 1990 (they have yet to leave the group stage at the WC since). Success at the youth level does not always translate to eventual success at the senior level

    • @vuyo1100
      @vuyo1100 Před 8 lety +3

      +simgarfu
      This time it will be different. Up to now the archiless heel of all African teams has been shambolic defending. That has been because kids started playing football in the town square, without proper guidance. Now that there is plethora of academies in West Africa and Nigeria in particular, kids are being taught how to defend properly from a young age. You saw evidence of this at this year's World Cups i.e. u17 and u20. It will carry forward. In World Cup 2022, Africa will make a splash. There is no turning back now.

      +Nishu Afobunor Thank you. Someone with a brain--at last. People always want to be someone else. The fact that he said it himself doesn't make it meaningful. He's a kid--with a load of talent. Tomorrow, he'll understand he can make a name for himself without being someone else. That doesn't mean it's wrong to admire another person for your aspiration. But for goodness sake, it's silly when people talk shit like someone is another Messi. If Messi could be himself, why can't every one else be themselves.

      +bish dljh STFU - gets thrashed by who? Naija won the African Championship two years ago.Qualified for world Cup, got out out of their group. You are just a hater. May be Nigeria has not done as well in Senior team but definitely not thrashed.

      +IKE OBODO They dont even have a clue. One state can provide a world class team from Naija, They just dont understand Naija!!
      If the Nigerian coaches remain unbiased in their selection at every level, Nobody can stand Naija, i can say this anywhere.

      when Berti vogts was appointed as Nigerian coach couple of years back,when he arrived Nigeria and settle down for business after scouting across the nation.
      he asserted that if football in Nigeria is organised as in England or Germany,not even Brazil can compete with Nigeria.
