In this video I show you how to get started with the new Native Instruments Maschine Mikro MK3. I demo how to setup your Maschine Mikro MK3 once you have unboxed it, registering it and installing Native Access and the software youâll need. Then I show you step by step, how to create a beat on the Maschine Mikro MK3, using one of the included kits. I show you how to browse kits, load them, and then play and record a beat. Iâll also show you how to layer drum sounds and samples into your beat. Youâll learn how to set the tempo, create a pattern, and adjust the volumes of individual sounds. Finally, Iâll show you how to use the ultra-cool FX feature on your Maschine Mikro MK3.

So good! đ
You heard it straight from the source!! Haha!
HELP WANTED!!!!!!!! MY SAMPLING ICONS DO NOT RESPOND!!!! I've contacted NI and have yet had someone help me with this problem. czcams.com/video/mpxTLujZEAI/video.html
@@SanjayC Hey man, don't suppose you use it with Logic Pro?? Finding it super tricky seamlessly linking the two. Trying to find the best workflow. Great tuts!!!
So far Sanjay has the only tutorials for the Mikro 3 that make me consider purchasing this.
@@RyNeaSoulMusic What Daw you using? I bought it and try to integrate with Logic Pro. It is a pain in the arse. I love the kit and you can get some cool sounds, plus it comes with sample banks and soft synths (Massive, reaktor) that are probably worth it alone. But it i pretty frustrating setting it up with Logic.
This is by far one of the best newbie tutorials I have ever seen. I learned more from you in 7 minutes than from the professionals who drag out info and make learning extremely boring.
This is the best Maschino tutorial on CZcams! Please make more tutorials like this one!
đ€Ł
Really appreciate this! Trying to mess around with some beat making for fun. You have taught me a ton!
Awesome! Glad to hear that! What type of music are you making?
Dude, this is the best Maschine tutorial on youtube!! Thank you!!
Thanks!
I really like the mass of information you gave. Its really simple to remember all steps. Another good thing is you calm voice, makes it easier to understand
I've watched a lot of tutorial videos for the Mikro MK3. This is hands down the best one. Thank you.
Thanks so much!
This video was and is still so helpful, Iâve watched it at least 5 times over. Iâm new to machine mikro as well. Thank you for your help!
same here just got mine ......
Awesome, just picked one up so this is super helpful - thanks Sanjay!!
Iâm so glad I found this. I was feeling a bit discouraged because I wasnât sure how it works but you demonstrated so well, very helpful. Great job đ
Yay! Glad you found it helpful!
I bought the Maschine because of you.You explained it so well that I understood everything. You saved me a lot of time and nerves.I really appreciate that you exist.Thank you very much and best regards from Germany
Glad I could help! :-D
Thank you, Sanjay! I was a bit nervous starting off with my Maschine Mikro, but this vid made me feel totally comfortable!
Thank you for this tutorial. And yes you are totally right, never forget to make music that we love!
Your tutorials are beautiful!!!! Love Kyoto!!!!
Love it Sanjay, deep appreciation for you taking the time to make this. My Mikro arrives tomorrow and this has me very excited.
The reason i can not do without CZcams, theres always that one video to make your day better Just got me a Maschine and I was already getting frustrated with it .Thank you ,thank youuuu.
So happy to hear I could take your frustration away! :-D
This video starts at step 0. Great!! Finally an easy to understand video that starts at a proper place. Thank you!
Yay!
Thank you, the only guy, on youtube that walks you thru setting the device up. Everyone else jumps right to making beats.
Just bought this and this was the first video. Love how quickly I feel I can make a beat now
Honestly, other CZcamsrs should watch your videos and learn. Simple, efficient, teaches you what you need to know, not all hyped and crazy. Subscribed.
I was so skeptical of every controller on the market after perhaps over watching like a billion reviews and tutorials. This single video gave me the courage to learn Maschine, and finally just pick a NI controller and go with it. Many thanks đđŻ
Christmas came early - I really appreciate this tutorial!
Fantastic work Sanjay. Your delivery and pace in making these videos are perfect. Keep up the great work.
Thank you Kenneth!
Sanjay - thank you. I'm way behind on a lot of this stuff but your videos are so well produced and informative. So easy to follow.
Amazing step by step on setting up a beat!!! Great job!
Thanks so much!
THANK YOU!!! Best tutorial Iâve watched so far.

Loved this, learned so much in this one video. Thank you and am now subscribed.
Your tutorial is amazing, that's exactly what i was looking for :D

Honestly - Thank you for this tutorial! Great stuff to get started with the Maschine!
Glad you like it! New one posted today!!
Thanks Sanjay this really made things plain for me, was having trouble wrapping my head around the software. Think Iâm ready to start getting busy.
EXCELLENT TUTORIAL. You actually showed how to use it!!
Thanks...I appreciate the positive comment! :-)
I love your overhead shot, with the instrument the background color the prop and the computer. Also good video
Thanks bro!
Exactly what I needed, thank you so much for this! Great visuals btw ;) keep it going!
Thanks. Iâm recording the next video Iâm this series right now! :-)
Watching this back a second time. Good job on the video!
Thank you so much! After finally fixing a USB popping and crackling issue by reinstalling my Focusrite Scarlett drivers I was not inspired but you have renewed my determination to learn.
That's awesome! I'm glad I could give you a boost! :-)
amazing tutorial man, was hella confused but now understand a bit thanks for this
This was so unbelievably helpful. I was lost until I found your video. Thank you!
:-D
My man, this is the best Maschine tutorial Iâve seen so far. Thank you very much!
You're welcome! Hope you watched the whole series...there's lots of things I discovered along the way.
@@SanjayC No, I haven't watched the whole series yet but I am for sure going to but I can already tell that it's good.
Thank you Sanjay for this straightforward Tutorial Part 1. Being new to the Maschine workflow, this gave a little more understanding than just me guessing how to even know where to begin with this controller. I'm coming an mpc1000 instrument, so this is all new to me.đ
Awesome tutorial. This got me up and running pretty quickly.
Love to hear that!
Just got this MK3 and you helped me make my first beat :') thank you
NI should give you commissions because in one video you totally just sold me one of these things! I never realized it was so easy to use and looks like a lot of fun!
Thanks man , I learned something watching all parts. Great videos , simple to follow . keep up the good work !
Awesome, thank you!
Extremely helpful đȘđŸ thanks my brotha
What a great tutorial. Top-notch đđ„đ
First good tutorial that I've found actually learned a lot here, tho I have a different maschine in use so I couldnt find how to do the effect things but all others I could, big thanks.
Hey all, can I just say that this series has been the easiest to understand from scratch that I have found. I would say that trying to set up on win7 64bit is a nightmare. This takes nothing away from this tutorial, it is 100% first class. The problem is the installation directory for the vsts. It took me nearly 2 weeks to sort it so if anyone is facing the same problems " massive could not be loaded " let me know and if I can help I will. It drove me bonkers!!!
Hey Man I am struggling with the same issue but on my Mac. Itâs not loading any of the VSTs with the same error message, âMassive could not be loadedâ. Any guidance you can offer would be highly appreciated.
Yo man we need youđą, where can I get vst-plugins?
Your Tutorials with the mk3 micro maschine was the perfect introduction to the world of Native Instruments for me. It would be a dream if you could teach us how to mix and master with the machine. There is little or no useful information on the Internet or CZcams. You can explain everything so easily, even more complex things. I learned a lot from you. I am eternally grateful for that aloneđđđMuch love and respect bro â€ïž
I really appreciate that. So glad you found this useful. For mixing, you've got access to the basic mixer controls in the Maschine software. For mastering, I usually use a plugin like Izotope Ozone 9. Its excellent!
Thank you so much ! Great info. I'm begining to like this Maschine ecosystem. Thanks
I really like this video ,really smooth intro to this instrument!
Really useful - just what I needed
Great job, Sanjay. Iâve been working without a laptop for the last couple of years but your tutorials make me consider a Machine. Thanks!
I hear you...gear like Maschine are a good mid-point between hands-on and software.
Amazing tutorial! I just got a Mikro MK3 and had no idea what I was doing with it. Thanks!
I'm so glad I could help out! Make some dope beats!! đ€
Thanks a lot, these tuts were very helpful.
Sanjay, thank you so much! This video alone got me up and running and recording. Awesome
You're welcome, Richard! Glad you found it helpful. Did you watch the others? I'm interested in knowing what else people want to learn.
@@SanjayC, Yes I did and I been up since about 5:30 am and it is now 5:02 PM and I am loving it!!
the easiest and kindest tutorial ever! Thanks a lot!
Awesome comment :-) Thank you!
This was super helpful matey thanks, I'm going to roll with the rest of them now đ€
this video is outstanding. clear concise and very well edited. subbed and liked.
Thank you! :-)
@Sanjay C - Just wanted to thank you. I've been using FL Studio for quite some time, which I love (I know you can use Maschine as a VST) but you simplify your tutorials which most people don't, so again thank you.
Glad I could help!
This video is super-well made!
Extremely helpful tutorial, learned a ton in just 7.08 minutes
I needed this. Instant subscribe.

Subscribed to you. Thanks for making this tutorials. I got a Maschine Mikro now, too and IÂŽm still learning about it. Thanks to your tutorials IÂŽm getting better playing it. Keep up the good work. :)

Wow This was extremely helpful thank you
Good to hear!!
Very important video, super clear and useful
Thank you man
Glad you liked it!
Just bought the Micro for my 9 year old. I will admit ... I wanted it too. So now we have something new to enjoy together doing. As a total beginner (my only experience with music making is 20+ years old ImpulseTracker) I find your videos very cool. You got a new subscriber (actually 2).
As thanks! Starting them young. Thatâs the best. I started piano when I was 5. Will never regret it. Wish I had a Micro back then! đ
Good stuff sir I'm sure you are helping many people including me!
Good to hear! I hope more people find this!
Useful video thanks. Was good to copy your actions when first got the hardware to get used to it
Glad you liked it!
Very nice and helpful video
Great awesome simple to understand video. Thanks for the help. Could use more!
More coming this week!!
Clear lesson. Thanks.
Excellent ! Subscribed.
Great help from your knowledge đ
Brah that was dope, you gave me a straight lesson in simplicity.... I'm subscribed.... more more lol
So happy to hear that!
Wow these videos are GREAT!!! Can you make more of these types of "beginners" videos that show very basic makings of beats and music from start to finish? There are TONS of videos that show people "using" the Maschine Mikro MK3 but NONE that explained it as good as you thanks man!!!
I appreciate the positive comment, man! I'll try to make some more.
BONUS TIP: !!!!!!! If you want to RECORD the EFFECT, do the following: Press RECORD, press PERFORM, select the effect, then press and hold the AUTO buttom, then use the strip. Remember to hold down AUTO while using the strip!!
Thanks, Danny!
Hi Sanjay! Love the work you do.
I've recently acquired a Maschine Mk3 and wondered if you could do a set of tutorials for that too?
Helped me out a lot. Thx
Glad it helped
MAN you are very easy way let me know about it !!! thank you so much

Best intro video - EVER!
Thank you Eugene Brown Music!
*I love this Video, so Iâm just get my MK3*
thank you so much friend !!
You are a blessing thank you
I just got mine, and I appreciate this Sanjay. Thanks! Also, I am using mine with an M1 Macbook Pro. It crashed all the time, but then I read to reduce the latency to 128. It has worked flawlessly since. Hopefully that helps someone else.
Very nice tutorial!
Thank you!
