      @@floridafan561 You mean a "well respected scientist" such as Neil Ferguson, who has been fantastically wrong on every meaningful prediction ever, including well before the present situation, was caught disregarding his own scaremongering and is still pretended to be a credible expert unlike all the ones who made more realistic predictions from the start? Like all the "credible experts" who wrote the specific, supposedly "scientific" basis for the validation of the WHO's global PCR test regime while having several undisclosed conflicts of interest and with two of the paper's authors actually on the editorial board of the journal which, incidentally, published it after an alleged peer-review lasting one day?
      I guess you are one of those people who think the government-sanctioned experts paraded around on TV actually constitutes any consensus - let alone a scientifically based one - while the entire context of the debate is _completely politicized_ so that the personal consequences of every expert's opinion, in terms of respect, recognition, social standing and professional opportunities, are based not on the quality of their work but on its political serviceability.
      If this were really the new plague, consider how it would be that the global body of serological studies has indicated a mortality rate no higher than your normal flu, as explicitly (if quietly) admitted to by the WHO months ago, how excess mortality outside of lockdowns is literally not a thing anywhere in the world, and how flu would have been eliminated worldwide because everybody is wearing their masks while the rona is running rampant because nobody is wearing a mask. Or just go back into your ignorant, authoritarian bubble where everyone who disagrees with the government position is a dangerous quasi-terrorist, regardless of their arguments and no matter how well-qualified an expert they may be, and if you just call all of them _"cOnSpIrAcY tHeOrIsT!!!!1"_ hard enough you will automatically be right without ever having to think anything other than what the TV tells you to.

    What people forget about Tyson was his ability to avoid punches. Mike had a metronome-like movement, constantly ducking and weaving, anticipating the punches, moving effortlessly out of the way, and incorporating that defensive movement in his counter-attack, usually a rising left hook or uppercut. I used to be a kickboxer back in the 80s. Problem is we have to train with our legs as well as hands, neither perfecting one or another. A boxer just trains with his hands but he perfects it. Tyson would only need to deflect a kick or two and then move in for the kill. He was an absolute beast in close quarter fighting. Argument settled.

      @Hraub777 he was not that big actually. The most epic super striking talents get ragdolled if their opponents can grapple. Look at the Rodtang Vs Demetrius Johnson in One Championship. Round 1 and round 3 were Muay That rules, round 2 and round 4 were MMA. DJ would just survive round one. In round 2 he just walked up to the Muay Thai striker god immediately and submitted him with zero issues. Whenever Tyson fans talk about him, they always have to use the term "Prime" Tyson. Why? Because they're always having to make an excuse for why he lost to Buster Douglas, Evander Holyfield, and Lennox Lewis. So they can always say, "Prime Tyson would have beaten Holyfield..." Well guess what? Evander Holyfield WAS NOT in his prime either when he fought Tyson! Holyfield had already been in three WARS with Riddick Bowe (who Tyson never fought) by the time he fought Tyson. Also, Buster Douglas was also NOT in his prime when he fought Tyson. Buster already had four losses, THREE by TKO when he fought Tyson. On top of that, Buster Douglas is 6 years older than Mike Tyson. Just admit the facts. Mike Tyson wasn't as great as people think he was. He started off beating guys no ones ever heard of. Top 100 then top 50, then top 20 and eventually top 10 in order to get the title shot. Of course he isn't going to beat the top 10 fighters and champions as easily as he beats the top 100 and journymen lol. After he has the belt everyone he fights is top 10 because they earned the title shot. That's the way this works you know.

      @@01wwjr dirtyjew1974 is right. You simply have to look at the level of competition! Tyson was 11-0 while Cus was still alive but the quality of opponents was very low. The best guys didn't want to face Tyson and didn't have to AT THE TIME because Don King pretty much controlled Heavyweight boxing. Tyson was under the management of Bill Cayton and Jim Jacobs, who were struggling to get him good names. So he beat what was in front of him. He didn't face anyone half-decent until David Jaco in his 16th pro fight and then Jesse Ferguson in his 18th. James Tillis and Mitch Green were never going to be KO'd, whoever was in Mike's corner! They were a big step-up from what he'd faced by then and good learning experiences. Not everyone can score KO's every time.

    • @01wwjr
      @01wwjr Před 4 lety +2

      @@TheTruth-pl3mk it's not about a KO its about developing and adding skills to grow. Mike stopped growing after Cus death. It doesn't matter who he fought. If you followed Mike you should know Mitch was knocked out in the street fight they had. You just basically said Cus didn't matter. He wouldn't made a difference. That tells me you know nothing about having true trust with someone. Mike felt invincible because of him. Cus died most of Mike's confadince and trust died with him.

    absorbing all that he was taught.
    If Mike Tyson cared enough and if he had the right trainer he could easily learn, at the very least, how to defend kicks, knees and many kickboxing strategies. The potential to learn how to low kick is there to. Imagine how devastating his low kicks would be!? Couple that with his punches. You got yourself a high level Muay Mat style fighter!
    All he would need to do is condition his legs some more for the kicks.
