Jets to Ukraine decision ‘not easy’, Poland’s president says - BBC News

  • Poland's President Andrzej Duda, one of Ukraine’s closest allies, has said sending jets to Ukraine would be a "very serious decision" that was "not easy to take".
In an interview with the BBC, Mr Duda said sending F-16 jets would pose a “serious problem” for his country, adding "we have not enough”.
The Polish president said any decision to send air assistance should be a "joint decision" - rather than one for any single country to take.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenksy spent the week travelling around Europe requesting allies provide jets, which he says are needed to win the war.

Agreed. Not only that, they also realize that after Ukraine Poland is next. While our Western politicians are still hesitating and thinking that Putin will stop after capturing Ukraine - people in Poland understand like nobody else that it's not true. To be honest it's WW2 scenario all over again. If we won't unite in our continous and expanding effort to support Ukraine in their fight for freedom - we might just get ourselves a WW3 soon enough.

BBC (Broadcasting British Colonialism) has completed its metamorphosis from a cruel, Colonialist Channel to a jihadi, Channel. The mouth piece of a thieving robber of a country which oppressed and killed millions over the centuries is now lecturing other countries on human rights. The colonial white man arrogance trying to influence other countries through BBC. And now his government is one of the fore most in helping turkey and Syria during the devastating earth quake (Even when Turkey and Erdogan was openly supporting the terror state Pakistan). Poland has done more than its fair share to help Ukraine. It’s right about having reservations about sending F-16s. Any fighter requires lots of maintenance, and that means highly skilled people to work on them. The worst thing that could happen is what happened in Iraq. F-16s were sent, and in just a short time the majority were grounded because they weren’t maintained properly.

Its different in Ukraine situation, poland is so close to russia, if russia attacks poland russa will only reason out like poland has direct participation in war in ukraine its russia obligation to retaliate. Russia’s not going to do shit against Poland if Poland decides to provide F-16s. Russia is losing against Ukraine. If NATO actually got into the fight, Russia’s troops would get absolutely annihilated. From the very beginning Russia has made one threat after another if a country helps Ukraine. Despite the close relations between Poland and Ukraine, the history of mutual relations, is not without events that negatively affect contemporary relations. The most important for Poland is the so-called “Volyn Massacre” . This is a mass genocide committed by Ukrainian nationalists against the Polish minority in 1943-1945 in the areas of eastern, pre-war Poland occupied by the Third Reich. The crime resulted in the deaths of some 100,000 Poles. This year, the ceremony commemorating the 79th anniversary of the crime had a unique context related to Polish-Ukrainian rapprochement in the context of the war in Ukraine. In connection with the anniversary of the crime, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski sent a bill to parliament to grant Poles in Ukraine a special status. However, the apology for the Volhynian Massacre expected by many commentators from the Ukrainian authorities did not materialize.

Yes, the difficult part about sending F-16s to Ukraine is not about training the pilots, it is about maintaining the planes. In addition, unlike the Mig-29, the F-16 requires long, paved runways to operate. This makes the F-16s vulnerable to Russian attack on the ground, since they can't be dispersed and hidden along highways or grass airstrips. They will be concentrated and easy to find at major airbases, so protecting the F-16s on the ground will be a significant new burden for the Ukrainian air defense systems.

30 years, the Russian Federation used the new technologies of the West for its militarization. The prolongation of the war in Ukraine and the gradual capture of new territories strengthens the idea of "Great Russia" in the hearts of Russians. The idea of "great Russia" will forever supplant the idea of the truth of Western values of tolerance and new technologies. Only the correction of targets from satellites will bring a psychological victory over the Russian army, this is a victory of new technologies, over the idea of "Russian peace".

And in doing so will only make things worse. Russia never had the means to invade the whole of ukraine in the first place let alone any other country after that.
this is copied from another source
You head to Bovington, Dorset, for 20 weeks of specialist training to develop your technical skills. You will complete your driving licence (if you don't already have it) and then move on to your tracked vehicle licence (the H licence) before getting to grips with driving the 62-tonne Challenger 2.
It will likely take four to six weeks for Ukrainian Challenger 2 tank crews to be ready, a former British Army Royal Tank Regiment training officer has said.
Cliff Allum said: "The art of driving a T72 is very different indeed to driving a Challenger 2, but it is not rocket science."
Once any side crosses the river they will be in trouble. hence russia pulled back over the river.

Whom Can We Trust If No One Is Trustworthy?
One of my favorite quips from Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is when Tom is defined as “a glittering hero…the pet of the old, the envy of the young,” and there were “some that believed that he would be President, yet, if he escaped hanging.” With these few words, Twain captured the essence of leadership in our world. Those who get to the top are the fiercest, most determined, and most ruthless. Today, the latter quality has become so intense that we can no longer believe our leaders, and certainly not trust them to have our best interest in mind.
I am not accusing any leader in particular, or even leaders as a whole. It is simply that in an egoistic world, where people vie to topple one another on their way to the top, the one at the top is clearly the one who trampled over and knocked down more people than anyone else. Concisely, to get to the top in an egoistic world you have to be the biggest egoist.
So how do we know whom to trust? We don’t know and we cannot know. All we know is that we are in the dark.
In a culture of unhinged selfishness, any conspiracy theory seems reasonable, while truth is nowhere to be found. When every person who says or writes something is trying to promote some hidden agenda, you have no way of knowing who is right, what really happened, or if anything happened at all.
The only way to get some clarity in the news and goodwill from our leaders is to say “Enough!” to our current system and build something entirely independent. The guiding principle of such a system should be “information only,” no commentary. Commentary means that information has already been skewed. Information means saying only what happened, as much as possible, not why, and not who is to blame and who we should praise.
Concurrently, we must begin a comprehensive process of self-teaching. We have to know not only what is happening, but why we skew and distort everything. In other words, we have to know about human nature and how it inherently presents matters according to its own subjective view, which caters to one’s own interest. To “clear” ourselves from that deformity, we must learn how to rise above our personal interest and develop an equally favorable attitude toward others. This is our only guarantee that our interpretation of things will be even and correct.
Once we achieve such an attitude, we will discover that the bad things we see in our world reflect our own, internal wickedness. Our ill-will toward others creates a world where ill-will governs, and so the world is filled with wickedness and cruelty. Therefore, all we need in order to create positive leadership-and to generally eliminate ill-will from the world-is to generate goodwill within us. When we nurture goodwill toward others, we will fill the world with goodwill. As a result, the world will fill with kindness and compassion. By changing ourselves, we will create a world that is opposite from the world we have created through our desires to govern, patronize, and often destroy other people.

There can be no doubt at least about Polands capability and willingsness of sending planes to Ukraine as soon as the conditions are there, in Ukraine. When Poland couldn't get F-16's for themselves and therefore couldn't send Soviet aircraft that Ukraine already was using, Poland at least sent *spare parts* for them, a lot of "spare parts." Poland didn't even _(shh, don't tell anyone)_ disassemble the aircraft into spareparts before shovelling them over the border to Ukraine. Ukraine had to do that, or keep them flying as planes. Huge thanks to Poland! Slava Ukraini!
