It’s true that this law can be interpreted in different ways though. For example, gay men hold hands on the street and there’s a child who sees them. This would be seen as LGBTQ+ propaganda to children if anyone cares to bring this to the court.
However, there’re still a lot of bloggers in Russia who are openly gay or lesbian and yet they’re still alive and well and not persecuted. (For example, on instagram: larkicheva, basechkaa, zhidkovskiy) I also know several people who are openly gay.

So, yeah, until the government stays the same, that’s how it’s going to be. That’s why many LGBTQ+ people leave Russia. OK -- this is the kind of performance that came out of nowhere and was totally unexpected!! It's so remarkable, Dan Stevens should at the very least, be nominated for Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy or Musical. Dan Stevens shows his incredible versatility as an actor in this rollicking comedic role! But he brings much more than his hysterical over-the-top very rich Russian pop star who displays an ambiguous sexuality. In addition to being in love with himself and as arrogant as can be, he also shows a sensitive side that is so evident in his affection for Rachel McAdams. What a far cry from Matthew Crawley (Downton Abbey), David Collins (The Guest) and David (Legion)!!! This man can act. And sing. He was originally to sing "The Lion of Love" but COVID-19 prevented him from traveling to the studio after the picture had wrapped. And, of course, it surely doesn't hurt that he's the most beautiful man on the planet with a high intellect and a heckuva really, really nice guy.

Oh, for sure he is getting tons of attention for this very funny role. He steals the entire movie. And now that powerhouse CAA has signed him, you better believe that Dan will be getting tons of really good scripts. An Oscar in most likely in his future. And he's worked so hard, especially after Downton Abbey, to challenge himself with a variety of roles.

Thought he did a hilarious job with this very funny role and I love him to death. But for me, Matthew Crawley will always be my favorite character. Gorgeous, elegant, noble and so perfectly well-mannered. A hunk with a brain and a heart. Will *never* get over Matthew Crawley. And the music John Lunn wrote specifically as "Matthew's Theme" is achingly beautiful. It's played every time there is a Matthew/Mary scene. Haunting.....but Dan richly deserves a Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actor in a comedy or Musical for this -- so different from anything he's ever done. Completely owned the character and shocked everyone on the set with his brilliant, original portrayal.

@Lauren Stitch I feel as if you’ve taken the words straight out of my mouth! Matthew Crawley was such a wonderful character and he will always be my favourite too, I think you’ve described him so perfectly. I also love the song that’s played in all of Matthew and Mary’s scenes, it’s called “Such Good Luck” (I love that it’s named after the farewell at the station scene!) and I feel that the beauty of the song compliments Matthew and Mary’s love story so well.
