“I went to my anatomy book” hits different in 2024
what does this comment even mean?
@@liamw2805 it means nobody thinks to go to an anatomy book or any book for that matter. Hope that helped bud.
@@alwayshungry1771 that's because we have this thing called the internet (which we can put books on too...), you are actually using it right now. Hope that helped bud.
I loved to hear that cause any time I have an issue I'm trying to address in my body, I go to an anatomy chart to better understand what I should be doing.
Not many people have that in them, to be able to study and discover things themselves without being told by someone else.
@@in_vas_por8810 exactly what I was admiring bro 💯🫡
Probably the craziest work ethic of any Mr Olympia
Work ethic goes the Ronnie Coleman 🤣
Nah...@@michaelkonelio7452
@@michaelkonelio7452nah man, ronnie just had fun and loved that shit, thats beyond ethic
Guys as if any of you know exactly how much effort they put into it and even if you do that’s not the full story. At the end of the day all these guys are extreeeeeeemely close to eachother in terms of effort. It’s the best, of the best. Nobody gets there with “just” hard work and talent. It’s 100% everything. 100%/the best effort, the best genetics, the most talented.
Note that I said craziest. I stand on it
His discipline and “fuck you mindset” made him one of the greatest of all time!
One of th greatest I think the greatest, his background, his approach to training, his focus determination out of this world!
@@anthonysmith2608 100%!
Greatest at what? Destroying the body? They call themselves bodyBUILDERS, but all i see is damage, insecurity and body dysmorphia
Should rename to bodyDESTROYING
Facts
more like screwing himself
The most unhealthy time in a body builder's life is the day of the show
No it's not look at the body builders now
@@bestlegitcontrollerplyr1287 Those guys are unhealthy too
@@bestlegitcontrollerplyr1287 when they go on stage they are critically dehydrated and starved to look that way. This is why they don’t look like that all year round. It’s dangerous and unhealthy.
@@bestlegitcontrollerplyr1287you didn't understand what he meant..
"Yeah Buddy "
This is hands down the gnarliest body builder to have ever lived.
If you’ve ever seen Birmingham you’d understand 😂
@@TheMightyMidget Yeah, he lived in Caste Vale, can only imagine how depressing that was.
'Live'
He's alive and healthy.
Andreas Munzer died because he abused diuretics he’s my number one
@@dazzaMusic Now that dude was shredded!...Great bodybuilder!
Me after I resist domino's pizza one week
True dedication right there
For real
Let’s give bro bro a round of applause gawd slammit.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Me after doing dominos carry out instead of door dash. Fucking exhausting picking that shit up
So funny that back then he couldnt google it, he had to look it up in his anatomy vook 😂
Why guys were better then..better wrk ethic better midset better discipline tougher stronger. Now adays ppl so lazy just google everything an first thing pops up they take it as fact
google didnt exist when he was competing
@@Kcryzx Yes, that is why he could not Google it lmao
@@Kcryzx that's what makes it funny
@Patrick-cr7bq I don't think the reason Dorian succeeded was because there was no Google back then. I'm sure he would have found the info in half the time if there was - not hard to find an anatomy chart online
I don’t really care about body building but I have huge respect for the dedication you can tell from just this one clip , legend
And steroids
The dedication to destroy his body?
Where do these haters spawn from?
@@brandonrogers8621DYEL city
@@walterrising4276 ah yes the dude who mentions steroids for anyone who works hard, you could hop on the same thing as him and you'd look like the average gym goer that's what your little pea brain can't understand.
My dad was a bodybuilder, and I am too, but he didn't make me nuts. I naturally stay at 10 - 13% bodyfat, and I'll never do any of these insane diets to get so lean my testosterone tanks. I'll actually probably never be on a diet either, because I've never been on one. Dad just wanted me to be big, strong, and as healthy as I could be. I wish he was still here to see what I've become, and to thank him for the choices he made that gave me this body. R.I.P. dad, I love you.
I hope you became a silver back gorilla
That was the old school approach. We used to go to the gym to get big and strong. Nobody had visible abs in the gym where I used to train
@@battoreddu9303 We had a saying...'abs on show?...muscle won't grow'....lol
That’s some true dedication. Dorian is one of the best to ever do it .
It don’t make sense cuz back then tribal ppl that walked through big ass mountains had no shoes, them mfs all bareless foot runners, imagen how lean those dudes were in those times. Maybe he just had bad bones or something
@@hunnterful1their feet probably adjusted to it from doing it so often
@@hunnterful1they were leans without pounds of hypertrophic muscle mass contributed to by lifting weights and taking roids. Their feet were more flexible, callous and robust because they didn’t wear contemporary footwear
@@hunnterful1Different kind of lean, my friend.
@@hunnterful1 Completely different, those dudes weren't 5% bf.
Added to that is that you weighed 260 at the same time!
That is not a flex
@@L.scardi9138its not a flex, just saying your feet will hurt more when they carry more weight
Little tip. Put a slice of bacon in your footwear. Nice fatty inner sole.
Lmao. That would only help if he had shoes on.
Simultaneously packing lunch for later
Smoked bacon is best...
Imagine hearing this monster's footsteps like *"THUD THUD THUD"*
Dorian is the fucking man
This is one example, albeit an extreme one, as to why your body needs fat to sustain.
Duh just not so much you look pregnant
@@GameN3rdz which I why I said this is an extreme example. It’s crazy because there are guys who are crazy lean and are still decently healthy. Losing fat on the bottom of your feet and being on bone is so insane to me bro
Fat pads were gone. The most incredible thing I heard Dorian say on London Real interview. It's like excruciating fasciitis. It's a terrible pain. That changed how I looked at body building and the limits he pushed beyond.
Using steroids
@@walterrising4276 🙄
Every single bodybuilder use nowadays, I can't name a single name in the same level as him @@walterrising4276
People push themselves beyond their limits to achieve this look. "Using steroids", no shit, man. Try using steroids and sit on your ass all day eating ice-cream, you'll just get fat, acne, heart disease and diabetes.
I know it's just a random comment, but my reply is for all the people who try to undermine hard work.
@@walterrising4276 You got nothing constructive to say?
I experienced this when i was anorexic lol. Cant imagine how much more itd hurt when ur actually heavy from all thst muscle
so healthy
Bodybuilding was never about health idk why people say this 🤦🏽no sport is healthy except for tennis and badminton or any sport similar to that, long distance runners destroy their knees, gymnasts break their bones constantly, boxers /nfl and ufc fighters are risking brain damage. Its about seeing the capability of a human body to perform 1 or a set of tasks to the extremes and how far those extremes can go
@@EricNkonyana it was sarcasm
@@zankom417 yeah but the point behind it is to ultimately illustrate the absurdity of thinking this is healthy, like just because its sarcasm doesn't mean it can't be criticized. You know that right?? When i read this i knew you were being sarcastic because its literally 2 words.
@@EricNkonyanaBe quiet
@@Zodiac3107 okay
I've stopped my weekly intake of ice cream and made it into once per 2 weeks, so i know exactly how he feels.
Wow,different level of commitment, the man👏
To beat Lee haney and dominate year after year, this dude is the definition of work smarter not harder
Lee Haney was undefeated.
He did work hard tho...
He didn't beat Lee Haney.
@@IVEdge meaning he took over lee as he retired and actually gave lee his best competition in 91 whoch thereafter he became a beast dominated 6 years in a row
@@ghostsamongus3370 The post says he beat Lee and he did not. Lee broke the record and quit on top. It doesn't matter what Lee or anyone says, he never beat Lee. TBH I don't think he would have beat him in 92 either. 93 is a different story, nobody was even close to Dorian. Also, 93 Dorian is, in my opinion, the best Olympia of all time including Lee and Ronnie so it's not like I'm defending Lee here. Dorian was the best, but he never beat Lee, it was a different era.
The ultimate legend ......
No other like him. Legend!
The original first bulk monster
Creg Kovacs was the absolute monster...
An absolute Legend!!
I met him at his peak,
Awesome
Me too. One of the most humble, pleasant and knowledgeable people you could meet. Still is. Hope I meet him again one day...
I love the fact that he used knowledge and His brain to train.
Ronnie only began because Dorian retired due to injury.
otherwise he would be a 8x mr olympia
No, Ronnie would have outclassed him in every pose. The only muscle group that was comparable between them was back, and ronnie steamrolls him in the rest
Ronnie Coleman mentioned having the same pain
Also your hands have 6000 pain receptors each your feet have 17,000 pain receptors each
Thanks for the info👍🏻
lol Dorian was insane haha
Can confirm I got way to lean for a natty show it was my first one and I had bruises on the bottum of my feet outlining my toes after standing on a concrete floor for hours
Did you at least win
I’ve always respected Dorian, his demeanor and work ethic was extraordinary.
Dorian’s training was like how Kobe Bryant and MJ worked out that’s why those guys are so great
The fat pad also disapates when we get older. It also affects balance as well. Which is very important when you're old. That's why some of them have space shoes on.
Can I have what you're smoking?
That's insane.
Dorian is the motivation i use to get out of bed after not sleeping all night and go about my day like nothing is different. No one cares how you feel and you arent f*cking special!!
One of the best of all time. Lean to have no fat on your feet is insane
Jesus christ. Bro even had an. anatomy book as a Bible
That's sick man..
Dorian, the real bodybuilding 🐐
Alpha code 101: always wear crocs in the back stage.
Did they even exist back then?!
Tried something similar but with my ass.
I was a high endurance runner, meaning I had very little muscle and a very low body fat percentage. This meant I had almost no soft tissue between my pelvic bone's 2 lowest spots and whichever chair I happened to sit on. It was comparable to sitting on 2 spikes whenever I sat down.
This is why I like him calls out the big names that also deserve to get a big jump up with a win against him
I saw Mr Yates at a regional Bodybuilding show, Mr. Pittsburgh, in about 1987 or so. Lots of big, muscular athletes. Dorian was the guest star & compared to the competitors … HE. WAS. M A S S I V E !!! Legitimately 2X the amateurs! UNREAL
I will never forget this film, every time it is on tv I always try to watch it. My brother and I love this film.
The genius that is Dorian Yates! ❤️🇬🇧💪
Hard work pays off
Insane.
Dorian was always shredded. IMHO, best back ever.
DORIAN YATES IS MOST DISCIPLINED BODYBUILDER IN THE HISTORY 💪👍 HE IS THE REAL LEGEND ❤ SUPER HERO 🦾✌
The BEAST.
Underrated beast 🫡🫡👍🏻💪🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Trust me...ive had numerous ankle, back, and hip surgeries..when that fat pad atrophies, the nerve endinging are insanely painful
Still one of the craziest perspectives out there to this day! Crazy to think about.
The king of bodybuilding
When you say, “Oh, it’s easy when you use gear” because you have NO idea how a real champion is made. These guys are on another planet when it comes to discipline. 💪🏻
I have this issue I'm in the 3%bodyfat club. It sucks 😔
My favorite of all time, this guy was incredible
Dorian is a legend. Always will be.
Love this guy. One of my all time favourite bodybuilders. He tore the gym a new ass hole every single day of the week and had his competition always off guard as he was over in the UK all year round, meaning no-one knew what he was looking like.
Then he turned up come competition time and everyone else instantly knew they had zero chance of beating Sir Yates.
ZERO CHANCE!
This is all facts. I didn’t know what was going on when I got cramps, then my doctor told me it’s because getting lean and drying out can cause cramps.
He was so dam lean, and big. Amazing.
Thank you for that Information.
It’s very helpful!!
The competing in body building is so dangerous! These guys were literally living on the edge.
The actor for that was absolutely amazing, he perfectly captured the “holy shit I just fucked up” face
The Biggest Fuckin' Back ever, Yates !!!! 💯💪🏾
Thats the mind, the spirit, the core you need to be the best
Its crazy that I get to met this Legend on 15-16 June 2024 in Bucharest, Romania
Best back in the game
Respekt für alles Tim, du bist einfach ein Macher!
Hard Core! My All Time Favorite Olympian. Even his name sounds big powerful, and he has the wise, weathered look of a very hard working accomplished stud. Futuristic super human performance🏆
In my opinion, it would have been very, very difficult for Team USA to win the gold medal in 2008 without Black Mamba.
Kobe had a huge impact on the team culture and work ethic. He also saved Team USA in the final against Spain. When the team was under pressure, Kobe took control and did what he's always done because he can handle pressure like no other.
This is why i dont cut. Dont wanna lose my fat pads under my feet!
Bringing his anatomy book with him was unexpected. What a bodybuilder he IS🗿
The best ever.
“Nay’munya” part got me in stiches 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I remember that feeling I could not even wear socks my feet were dry as hell
So lean his feet were ripped 😮
That’s called 0% body fat. A true legend
Back when you had to look in a book to learn something. Dog just pulled the Anatomy book out instead of google
Monk who is a bodybuilder 💪
Ronnie is the king but Dorian was the most dedicated.
Shier on the podcast. Let’s gooo. Baidi you’ve been killing it with the guests lately
The best.
Like granit,rock ,amazing man.
The shittier you feel, the better you look
This is every single runner
Yes. What is interesting is those pads of fat are adaptive, if weight is gained, or if you are on hard surfaces all day, your body will distribute fat to the area for protection.
I lost it when his keys popped out
I had a similar issue. My hands were really hurting when I was backstage, then someone suggested that I should stop walking on my hands.
My heels started feeling weird as I heard him talk about it😂
My hero i love this guy he is amazing , absolutely a legend and a badass you are amazing sir
As a smaller lean guy who does lots of physical activities this actually kinda makes sense why my feet kill me sometimes. Bc I’m only 130 it doesn’t make sense for my feet to kill me from walking around but this would explain it.
Biggest and best shaped back in the history of bodybuilding. This dude is where the term “turtle back” came from
Fucking legend😤💥
I'm so glad he won his competitions and didn't continue on the lean juice indulging journey some continue and sadly die
Absolute legend 👍🏼🍻🇬🇧
And he dosent belive in the holocaust. Cant get any better
This is back when the guys had the deathface. I remember Kevin Levrones as he spoke with Arnold
Its plantirs or tendons,i don't think they shrink but hard exercises can cause flat feet, fallen arches, pain etc
Man just diagnosed me
