I have a 2006 1200 Low, with aftermarket slip ons, and I love it. I use it for longer highway trips. Mine is the last year of the carbureted engine. Older Sportsters are a great way to get the Harley experience on a budget.
Picked up an 05 Custom a few months back also have a 2021 Road King standard enjoy them both. Everyone seems to believe if your over 6' and or over 250 lbs the Sportster is too small just a entry level Harley (buzzer sound) I find this bike to check all the boxes plus a absolute joy to ride as much as my RK. I swapped rider seat to a Mustang solo and bars to a standard set of touring bars i had with Burly kit which made all the difference in cornering. 64 yrs 6'1- 260 having a blast! Thanks for sharing your experience, Ride on
Fun bike ! Great for short hop's around town. I just came across your channel and I'm happy to support you and other fellow motovloggers. I look forward to seeing and hearing more from your channel in the future. Best of luck and ride safe out there ...
No trouble, just been too hot to ride much and I haven't made a decision on next bike yet. Hopefully I'll be riding more as the weather starts to cool off.
Looks like you have a Harley itch to scratch Mike lol, looked like a nice comfy bike to ride and scored quite well on you hard-on-ometer look forward to the follow up test.
2013 1200 XLC checking in! Yeah it a takes a bit to get used the 1200 sporty, but I've been happy with it for nearly 35,000 trouble free miles. BTW I like my fat front tire better that the skinny spoke ones
Idk if you’ve made a purchase or not, I’ve owned a couple of motorcycles and I LOVE my 2007 XL1200C. Lots of compliments from onlookers, especially with the big tank! First year with fuel injection... no carbs to mess with. I’ve put 20,000+ in 2 years, not one single problem. Can find them all day long under $5000.

It’s awesome seeing my make/model on YT. When weather doesn’t let me ride, I can watch this!
Bike looks even better in person, I should've got some more shots of it. My buddy still has it.

When you get used to turning on those sporties they're awsome for canyon runs!
I don't think my buddy has ridden this bike since I made this video. It just sits, shame. I have a Low Rider ST and it rips the canyons!
Probably the worlds best motorcycle ever produced barr none. To answer the question you never did... about 115 MPH is what she will do wide open.
Sadly, my buddy that bought it never rides it.

Thank you, I appreciate the support and will be checking out your channel as well.
@@chasingtrail @chasingtrail 👍
Had a 97 Fatboy only thing didn’t like was solid wheels when it was windy which seems to be every day 🤔
Mike ,I saw an orange Panamerican this weekend. It was the best looking ADV bike I've ever seen.
I also find them to be decent looking as far as ADV bikes go. The V4S is my favorite.
@@chasingtrail Personally I shy'd away from the ducs due to the maintenance complexity and costs.... but I'd love to ride one, not own one lol
@@benlorenzo1966 I hear ya, and my nearest dealer is 3 hours away. If I had a good local dealer I'd feel better about it.
There's a 2020 Panamerican on Craigslist right now for 19.5
@@Glidedon Thanks for the heads-up Don! I have seen that one. It is tempting. OTD they want $25 - 26k for one of those so it seems like a good price.
Glad to see avid! Thought you got in some kind of trouble with your Harley dealer venting. 😁

I'm real itchy for sure.

Right on! Yeah I'm not a big fan of the spoked wheels either.
Fuel injected? Or carb?
Fuel injected.
I have a chance to buy the exact same bike, do you mind sharing how much it cost? Thanks 😊
$5,500
