selling to a dealer is the same as selling to a pawn shop. I bought the same year model off a single owner with barely 10K on the Odometer, tons of bolt ons: Back rest sissybar, Crash bar, 21" laced front wheel (with stock wheel) saddle bags, front tool bag, windshield, etc..over $2k in just accessories alone, for $2500 and actually down from $3K. Guy accepted my first offer which was awesome, but I considered using it as a trade in on a Softtail standard, I like the fat rear skinny front look and ride more, but they only wanted to give me $1500 trade in value. as I write this current Kelly Blue Book for the 2007 Custom 1200 is $4k, with trade in around $2500. Honestly I'm in love with the bike, and probably won't part with it. If I get a softail..I'll probably just build it. Don't pace so much..you make me dizzy AF.
Wow that’s a great deal! I ended up selling mine closer to $5k and put the money towards my Mustang and stuff for the channel. I know I used to pace a lot more, now I try to keep the camera static and stand in front of it 😂

I have the opportunity to buy one of these with 2,600 miles for 4K cash. What would your advice be after owning one? Or should I go with a newer 883 sportster?
I’d go with the 1200 any day over the 883. That seems like a really good deal. You should make sure to get it checked out.

@@Icanreadgood1 oil leak is a big one. Otherwise just make sure it looks and feels overall healthy. I’d take it to a harley mechanic and have them do a once over. Super worth it.

I got it for $5000 back in the day, owned it for 2 years and sold for $4800. If I still had it would probably still be worth that or more.
