- This is not an actual Holden, it's a Chevy SS with Holden badges put on it.
The car looks pretty cool with that wrap. If you saw it on the street you probably wouldn't think it's a 9 second car.

It’s actually an Australian Holden commodore built for the US market, I used to work on the line putting them together, and we drive them everyday

@This username no. There are two Holden models with completely different wheelbases involved here. The Holden Commodore SSV Redline was sold as the Chevy SS, and the Commodore Statesman was sold as the Caprice PPV (police pursuit vehicle) in the US.

You know how you said its not an actual holden? It is.. we send them from aus to America and they get re badged as a chev so the person that owns the car just put the holden badge back on.

Probably a supercharger and some other stuff. Cuz a supercharger makes have about 700HP to the wheels

we (australia) also had a Ford XR6T Falcon that finished production in 2016 .That had the Barra 4.0 litre inline 6 , no V6 in sight , that could run these times too with upgrades. Totally stock would run mid 12's tuned. all the torque comes on tap from about 1900 rpm to about 6200 rpm...

That’s a 2014, I can tell cause of the back brakes. Sick car but you did all that work, even spent the money wrapping it and didn’t upgrade the rear brakes! C’mon man. ;-).

Matt Quinn Really? I didn’t know that. I guess I brought it up cause Holden put brembos on the back on the 15,16,17 models. I guess it wouldn’t make a difference because the 2014 (by performance specs) is still the quickest aka better performing SS. But I think that’s because of the fixed springs. Idk.
I know Plenty of people that race their 15 16 17s did a 14 conversations but I love my mag ride to much.

Nicholas Brown the gto, g8 and SS are all australian GM platform and all vins start with a 6. the radiator on my 06 gto says "Calsonic Made in Australia" and the paint code sticker says "GM of Australia". it should be a well known fact that those specifc vehicles are simply american badged australian vehicles. much like todays buick hot hatch which is actually a vauxhall astra.
