    My 1968 950 Minx 22 short pistol I keep in a kit with a 25acp Jetfire slide, barrel and magazine. That converts the pistol to 25. I have another barrel and magazine for 22 long rifle. That works just as slick! I replaced the barrel pivot pin with a machine screw for quick change.

    I own a 950BS with the side safety you spoke of. This is one of my most beloved pistols, truth be told. I slip it into my shorts pocket or sweatshirt pocket every time I take my trash to the curb or pick up my mail from my mailbox. I figure I'm more apt to run into a nasty dog or rabid skunk than I am a bad person in those situations. Depending on my Spidey Senses dictates whether I carry it fully cocked safety on, or half cocked safety off. I actually bought a 950BS at a Texas gun show a thousand years ago, sold it, regretted it, and hunted for another one for many years. When I finally spotted one in a gun store case, I didn't waste any time snagging it. If it's kept clean and ball ammo is shot through it, it's super reliable, fun to shoot, and fairly accurate for what it is. Also it's a GREAT pistol for training youngsters pistol shooting and safety. With the magazine installed, and utilizing the pop up barrel feature, one round at a time can be loaded and fired. Thanks for sharing this model on CZcams. I'm glad that this basic design can still be purchased from Beretta, although I believe the only modern models available are a "21 A Bobcat" in 22 LR, or a "3032 Tomcat" in .32ACP. Maybe not made in .25ACP anymore but still cool little pistols, that make great trainers and FUUUUUN to shoot.

    Inspired by 60s this is exactly how the spy pistol should look like and a pen or a pencil to maintain...thank you for sharing.

    I have a minx from 52 but the sn starts at 50***. But I don't see then making 50,000 copies the first year, it has a box I've never seen before aswell. You think they started it at 50 000?

      According to BeretttaWeb.com, Beretta started the Model 1920 model at serial number 100,000 - so starting the 950 frame at 50,000 wouldn't be unprecedented. For many firearm manufacturers, the serial number is just for tracking frame production and doesn't have a lot to do with when or what model firearm is made and eventually shipped to the customer.

    What does this half coking does?

    • @TruthToTell
      @TruthToTell  Před rokem

      The half-cock position puts the hammer into an easier position for thumbing to full-cock than the hammer down position does.

      .25 ACP (6.35 Browning) is still made by Federal, Remington, Winchester, Hornady, PMC and others. Supplies are where you find them.

    You are absolutely incorrect. That gun has an inertial firing pin. The gun was supposed to be carried hammer down on a live round. You are NOT supposed to carry that gun on half cock.

      Understood. As I said I'm more concerned about flubbing the cock than dropping it.

    You can remove the safety from newer models easily.. Every time I mfirewd it I engaged the safety for each shot- not acceptable. This gun does not even need a safety...

    It's really jury rigged. Not good. But I have the BS & love that little piece. Ive been looking for that little 22 for years & occasionally find one on the Internet. One of these days. Oh yeah, watch out for slide bite on those little babies!
