I dont think he actually shot that raccoon to the tree. Maybe caught it with trap and just pretended to shoot it. That shot did not look good and "forgot to record" and everything

That shot on the raccoon seemed strange no camera angle of it or scope cam. Strange reaction to it as well different to your normal kills I must say. Makes me wonder if you just shot a trapped raccoon beforehand.

I love the amount of effort flair puts into these videos for us. He went to multiple stores that didn’t have the rifle, bought hunting equipment for the specific game type he could hunt with the new gun and then went on to put on an absolute banger hunting video.

For perspective on the .17hmr your typical pellet rifle is .177. So its basically a pellet with grain behind it. Food for thought. That call for coyotes lured in a "barking spider" 🤣😂. Flair with another banger but wouldnt expect any but from Flair

Shredded cheese with chopped baby onions sprinkled with cilantro. I use bakers chocolate in my chili it binds the spicy flavor with the cummin. I love that flair has 45 knives on that magnet strip in his kitchen. Do you think that's enough LOL.

I just bought a bergara rimfire 17 hmr and love it havent gotten much distance yet so it is at 25 yds so were going to zero it at 50
I have a heavy barrel 17hmr and have put 15 bullets into a 1 inch group at 100yards. I absolutely love it.
The beans in chili is a big southern thing 😂
My favorite way to make chili is
1lb of ground venison (browned)
1 can of black beans
1 can of dark red beans
1 can of rotel (mild)
2 cups of tomato juice
1/2 onion diced (optional)
2-3 packs of Taco seasoning instead of chili seasoning
1tbsp Cummin
1tbsp Garlic powder
1tbsp Onion powder
1tbsp Chili powder
And let it sit in a crock pot on high 2.5-3 hours
When it’s done serve over white rice with a little bit of sour cream and some shredded cheese
Don’t add any salt the venison is naturally salty and gets saltier the longer you cook it. Give this recipe a try

Sweet video, Tim wells has a video of him and a friend hunting raccoons and one of them comes running down the tree and straight toward his friend was about 3to 4 feet from him when he shot it with a bow.lol

That round has jacked up many of squirrels. First there was one take a shot now there are two
17 hmr is my all time favorite caliber I’ve shot. I love this thing. It’s legal in MS, before anybody says anything, for deer. Did great on 3 does so far in the back yard at 50-75 yards a piece
Put a limb saver (for a bow) on the barrel to take the slap out of the free floating barrel. It will tighten up the grouping. Did that on my son's 17 hmr and he has a quarter sized 5 shot group at 100 yards.
Flair, Savage make the A17 and the A22 and are semi-autos. Then you get a 25 round mag and away you go. Just make sure you get the target barrel because that baby gets hot

I've got that same rifle, in the box is a tool that'll adjust your trigger pull down to about 3lbs. Makes it a much more enjoyable gun.

Remington model 597 was the last semi auto .17 cal. made. They were blowing up in people's faces. Not the gun, the charge. The round is so hot when it is ejecting the charge was blasting/splitting the brass apon ejection blowing up pretty much in people's faces. O and the .17 cal. is fast enough to detonate Tannerite. Makes for cheaper blast. Haha 12:00 coyotes can SMEEL, hear, and see very good.

You can buy silicone freezer chili cubes and freeze it in blocks.. add to sauce pan to reheat. Stock that freezer
You got to get some mushrooms, onions, and peppers in that chili Flair!
You should try pulled raccoon with bbq sauce
Bread works, but also put the meat and the grinder parts in the freezer for 30-45 minutes beforehand and that'll help out alot as well.
I have many rifles, including 600+ yd pews, but the .17 hmr is still my favorite to shoot and always puts a smile on my face. The ammo you got is optimized for the Savage A17, which is pretty much to only somewhat successful semiauto. .17 hmr is just on the edge of being too hot to run in a simple blowback action. Out of a bolt I really like the Hornady 17 grain. As for the trigger, the accutrigger version is much better. I didn't think they sold any without them anymore, but that might be a Walmart exclusive thing to keep costs down.

Coming from a butcher, if you cut the meat into strips the auger in the grinder pulls it into the blade so it's less likely to clog, also goes a little quicker
17hmr are hands down the best calibre for varmit hunting. I own one just the best ammunition is expensive but still really good caliber
