Program remote control key FOB on Honda Accord 2000 EX

Bought a key FOB on eBay for $10, it supposedly had an old OEM board and new shell & battery. Supposedly only works on Honda Accords that came out of the factory with the remote control feature.
Remote control part number is KOBUTAH2T, supposedly be the same for all 6th generation Accords (1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002).
Procedure should be same for all Accords.
1. Insert key
2. Turn key to position 2
3. Press lock button on FOB
4. Turn key to position 1
5. Repeat steps 2-4 (three times?) until you hear your automatic lock

This helped on my 99 Accord.
I had to repeat those steps twice in a row before it finally worked. The instructions that the remotes came with were useless. Thanks.

If this didn’t work for you, it’s okay. It didn’t fully work for me either until I tried this;
1. Turn Key to 2nd position, Press lock button on key fob, turn to first position. DO NOT FULLY TURN IT OFF.
2. Repeat that process 4 times
3. On the fourth try, while key is in 2nd position, your going to press the lock button on key fob as well as the unlock button, and the trunk button, one at a time.
4. Turn your key to to off position and remove your keys from ignition.
BOOM! That’s what worked for me 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@michaelmosley1817 I haven’t :/ I have the fob sitting in my glovebox because I gave up on searching for a solution. I tried every reputable video on CZcams, and I seem to be part of the few who has this problem. Let me know if you find the solution!

Not well described. It's 1. Turn key to on. Press Lock button. Turn key back one click. 2. Turn key to on. Press Lock button. Turn key back one click. 3. Turn key to on. Press Lock button. Turn key back one click. You will hear locks cycle indicating it is ready to program. 4. Turn key to on. Press Lock button. You will hear locks recycle indicating it is now programmed. 5. Remove key finished.

On my 2000 in didn´t worked it do that sound like lock only 2 times but actually it didnt lock😢
