You're welcome!
Worked for me. Thanks buddy 😮
You're Welcome!
Worked on my 2000 Accord SE
I tried it many time with no luck because I was pressing the LOCK button too fast.
When you press the LOCK button hold it until it stops blinking, then turn key back to I.
Follow this instruction as shown on the video but remember to HOLD the LOCK button down each time until it stops blinking.
The other instruction that show on this site also works. Just remember to HOLD the LOCK button until stops blinking before moving on.
Good luck!
Thanks 😮😊
Didn't work for me. My lock button only lights once and never blinks no matter now long I press it : (
Any other ideas?
thanks it very helpful
You're welcome! Glad it helped
Your video was very helpful and I programmed my fob. I programmed the fob in my car while watching your instructions. Doors lock /unlock perfectly, however, the beep confirmation is not sounding. By the way, I also replaced both Fobs with new batteries. I did everything to the T. Do you know what else can be done regarding the beep confirmation?? I really want to restore this so I am not second guessing if I locked my car or not. Thank you .😊
Glad it helped - not sure on the beep, sorry
I can’t program mine it’s not working tried both ways I switch the head unit would that be the problem?
Thank you. I went to the Honda dealer and they wanted $116 to reprogram the key fob. I watched and fixed it on the first try. I think it might have taken 3 minutes. So Honda was trying to charge me what amounts to $2320/hour, and they wouldn’t guarantee it would work, AND I would probably have had to wait for a while so that they could show me it was hard to do. However, to be fair to the Honda service advisor, when I told him that it was a rip-off and I’d rather open the car manually he told me to look it up on CZcams because Honda didn’t have a special machine to do it.
Glad it helped!
😊Thanks may God bless you 🙏
Thank you very much for this video. It worked on my 2001 Honda Accord.
You're welcome! Glad it helped
It works?
@@hendricks177 Yes. It works. The 20 year old remote, which was held together with two rubber bands, wore away. I followed the instructions in the video and the spare remote has been working ever since.
What year is yours?
@@hendricks177 I own a 2001 Honda Accord.
Awesome thank you
You're Welcome!
Thank you for this easy tutorial. I was able to easily program the fob and it was locking and unlocking my car. When I pressed the brake to turn it on tho, the alarm started going off and the car wouldn’t start. This happened twice, and then on the third time the alarm did not go off and I was able to start the car. Any ideas why this happened, whether I can probably expect it to happen again, and how to stop it? Thank you!
I'm not sure on that - it sounds like you may have an aftermarket alarm system installed on the vehicle
Thank You!
You're welcome!
If that sequence doesn’t work for you… Try this instead….(key position)…. Start at 0-2 press lock button, turn back to 1-2 press lock button, Turn back to 1-2 press lock button, turn back to 1-2 press lock button, and you should hear your locks engage press the lock button again On the remote you just programmed and then press the lock button on any additional key fob to program it also… you can have up to 3 key fobs But all must be programmed at the same time upon the first initial programming, when programming the additional key fobs leave the key in the number 2 position and just press the lock button one time on each remote.
Worked for my 2002 Honda accord ex V6
have not expierenced that but good tip!
Dude ty so much I kept watching every other video and I thought my car was the only odd one that this sequence didn’t work for. Ty so much🙏🏻🙏🏻
Worked for my 2001 Honda Accord EX. Thanks so much
Yep this one worked for me not the one in the video
Brooo thank you so much
You're Welcome!
So does it only unlock your driver door because it unlocks my driver door but then when I lock it it it will lock all the other doors if they are unlock
My fob did not programmed even following same steps. All batteries replaced with new.
Same here.
I have a 2000 Honda Accord with no key fob. (Bought it that way). Some times it will start some times it won't. No fob at all
Any suggestions?
Thanks I literally had to repeat 10 times before it locked
Does this not work for the LX Model? I have a 99 accord lx, and it’s not working for me, and all the other guides I do see on CZcams are for EX models as well.
No - I don't believe the LX models have the factory remote option
@@PYR-Auto I figured, alrite thanks for the reply.
@@PYR-Auto i have LX model for 98 and i was able to do it. However, that is for my original remote. i have another remote from different honda of same generation and i cannot program that. hope that helps.
Thanks a lot
You're Welcome!
Essa programação serve para o Jonda Accord ex 95?
do i need another key for it to work?
Thank you.
You're welcome!
It works. Saved me many many dollars compare to the dealership. Thank you!😊
Cool, thanks
You're welcome!
will the system security immobilizer system still work after you configure both remotes?
Yes
I can't get my fob to program. Do you know of you have to have a alarm system on the car for the key fobs to program
You don't need to have an alarm system, but the vehicle does need to have the factory remote option installed. If you are unsure of what options your vehicle has - take your VIN number and call a Honda dealership. Speak with their parts department and they can look up the build sheet for your vehicle.
I have a question, it is the same procedure for the Honda Accord 02 and I have already treated it as 3 cessation and nothing happens
Yes it should be - as long as the accord has the factory remote option installed
I program my keys and all the locks work but the only thing that does not work is when I pressed the lock button or the unlock button the hunk doesn't sound like demonstrated in your video any help
not sure on how to set that
Tried this for my 2006 Civic remote and it didn't work. Tried programming with both the lock and unlock buttons. Any ideas?
I just bought a 2002 accord that didn't come with a fob. How can I tell if mine will accept a key fob?
Call a Honda dealership with your VIN number. Speak with their parts department and they can look up the original build sheet to see if the vehicle is set up for factory remotes
my 2000 Civic used to chirp when I arm and disarm it. It will honk if I arm it twice. any idea how to turn the chirping back on?
Not sure on that
Have you found any answers yet?? I am trying to get same info my 99 Accord.
Hi, hope u can help. I programmed the remote. Everything was fine on my 99 Accord then suddenly the entry beep sound stopped working. Also, car locked automatically after about 30 seconds. Very strange!
Not sure - haven’t experienced that
Any clues on how to get the lock beep to sound anyone?? Soo strange that doors lock/unlock perfectly but sound has deactivated.
Does this work if i buy a key fob off eBay and try to program it ?
Yes - as long as it’s the correct key fob and your vehicle has the factory keyless entry option installed
How do I know if my car is compatible with the remote
Call a Honda dealership with your VIN number and speak with their parts department. They can look up the original build sheet for the the vehicle to see what options it has. It needs to have the factory keyless entry option installed for this procedure to work.
So 4 cycles with two lock button presses on the forth cycle.
Thanks. I noticed that if I lock the car with remote#1, remote #2 can't unlock it. You have to use the same remote to unlock. It beats the purpose to use an extra remote if you lose your remote. You won't be able to unlock it.
interesting - I have never noticed that
It worked but for some reason now my car alarm goes off every time I lock or unlock my car. What gives?
it sounds like the vehicle may have an aftermarket alarm system installed that is causing issues
I have a 2002 Honda CR-V
I been at it for a hour. It isn't working. The car automatically locks in the on position
not an acvord
can you help me plz
This work in 1995 Honda Accord CC7?
no
I have a 97 and when I lock it-it doesn’t beep any solutions?!
Did it program at all or lock and unlock tho?
Doesnt work on my ek4 civic with central locking antenna
Wrong. For my 99 Accord ex I program it by turning not to zero, but go from position two to position One
Thanks Ken, I have the same model and year. Wouldn't have figured it out without your comment. Only downside, my trunk pop button isn't working. I can deal with it though
will this work on 97 honda prelude?
Yes - if the prelude has the factory remote fob option installed.
@@PYR-Auto What about with a aftermarket stereo?
An aftermarket stereo should not have any effect on the factory remote system. However, an aftermarket alarm system can.
@@J_spec6 I was afraid this was going to stop me too, as other results of my search yielded directions saying I needed to press the valet button on the factory stereo. Well I just successfully programmed both of my original factory remotes using these instructions. I had to do it twice, but it worked! I've been using the key for over a year now. SO good to have the remotes back! 1998 Honda Civic EX Coupe, 5 speed manual, clean with zero Honda rot on her rear wheel wells 🥰. 95k miles. She's practically a teenager!
Will this work on 1996 Honda accord
i i follow you in florida i’d like to tell you it’s not good with my honda accord 2000
doesnt seem to work for my 2002 accord LX. Thanks anyway
Will this work on. 98 Honda Accord?
Yes - if the accord has the factory remote option installed
@@PYR-Auto how do I know if mine has one?
Take you VIN number and call a Honda dealership. Speak with their parts department and they can look up the original build sheet for the vehicle to see what options it has.
@@PYR-Auto mine does have a factory alarm system.
@@PYR-Auto I called the dealer and they check it. Mine does have the remote factory opinion.
How much those fob cost? Thanks
depends on where you buy them and if you get OEM or aftermarket
Thanks
Not working on my 2001 Honda Accord
Me neither 2000 Honda Accord
Are you sure your Accord has a factory installed remote system?
That's great except for one little thing...
It only locks and unlocks the passenger door...NOT the driver's door.
it shouldn't respond that way - sounds like you may have an issue with vehicle itself
Won't work
I tried that on my 01 Honda accord and it didn't work, what am I doing wrong?
Same
It may not have the factory remote option - not all do. You can verify that by calling a Honda dealership with your VIN number. Speak with their parts department and they can look up the original build sheet for the vehicle to see what options it has.
@@PYR-Auto ok, thank you. I'll do that.
Does not work
Didn’t work
Well it didn’t work! 2002 Honda accord. Ugh! Irritated now
I don't want to program anything. Just want a duplicate key cut for my 2000 Honda Accord. I'm 71, and don't want to get ripped off. I'm on SS
It did NOT WORK 👎
Waste of $
