Love your videos and energy A quick note BP or ball point needles are for stretch fabrics so they don't puncture but go through the knits. The smaller the number the finer the needle. On your cottons and finer fabrics go 10-12, Heavier of denser go 14-16. Terry I always go 16 or a Jean needle. A dull needle can throw out your timing on your machine because it isn't going through as quickly. I've been sewing for 50+ years so I have learned like you and it was great when I actually learned the differences. Keep up the wonderful products. 😀🥰

Having a neuropsych exam can be daunting. Getting your actual diagnoses as AFAB can be a challenge if your assessor is still living in the stone age.
I had 4 therapists in FIFTEEN YEARS tell me there was zero possibility of me being Autistic immediately after I brought it up. 'Didn't you say you can read people?' 'You make eye contact just fine'. Etc.
The last therapist I sought out was an ASD specialist. She asked a whole bunch of questions and said it wouldn't be a waste of money to go to neuropsych for an actual evaluation.
High masking female presenting Autistics and ADHD get overlooked because we are generally not a problem for others, and we get told to keep the issues that WE are having to ourselves, if we're not gaslit about them altogether.
    I was 40 before I realized that the crochet I have done since I was 7 is a STIM. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 45.
Anyway, regardless of which brand of neurospicy you are, you're still Taylah. A diagnosis will give you more information about yourself, and what accommodations you may need to help you regulate your nervous system. I suspect you've been naturally doing that (working for yourself, ear protectors, lighting, etc.).
    Sorry for the info dump.

I use too make and sell all the time I took baskets full of orders to the post office. I got sick and went from a running mom of 7 to laying in bed all the time.
Watching you reminded me of what once I use to be. Before CZcams etc. I sold on eBay and Etsy. You have in spired me to make some changes. I’m an Artist so I paint now and started selling my Artwork. I need to learn so much on how to use social media to show my handmades and Art.
Thank you Miss Taylah Rose for inspiring me to jump back into what I love..❤️

Lovely vlog Taylah. Did you know you can get an eye guard attachment for your Juki. Over here in England, they cost between £5 to £20, so shouldn't be too much in comparison to Australian prices. Worth every penny if it protects your eyes from broken needles flying about. Also, like someone else further down the comments said, invest in a little battery operated desktop mini Hoover for cleaning out your sewing machine. I use one on my machines, and they get a lot of fluff out with little effort. Have a great Christmas with family and friends. Bye for now. 🎄🙂

Yes! I bought one on Amazon a few years back (round pink one by Tihoo) - love it! I hand-sew but the little lint, thread and fuzz bits get everywhere!

Omg I hate that game ... find the rest of the needle.. I had a needle pop and fly right at my eye luckily it was still attached to the machine by the thread and got about 1/2 inch from my eye before the thread pulled it back .. litterally felt it fall down my face. You best believe that I got protective eyeware after that! 😂 I sew thick items so needle breaks happen especially if I run over a seam to fast... not that I would ever have a lead foot on my sewing machine 😅😇

The needles are different numbers depending on the fabric that youre sewing. Also, idk why youre using ballpoint needles when most of your fabric is woven. Ball point needles are for knit fabrics.
The smaller the number of the needle, the lighter the fabric. I use 14 sharp point for most of my sewing. Your 16 is most likely correct. If you sew through heavy layers, youd want to go up to an 18.

You are so talented! I noticed you make your scrunchies using the boritto method now.
I just started making scrunchies 3mths ago and I still do it the other way since it’s easier for me and I’m still learning.
My ask what the name of the long wooden tool is that you used to use to turn your fabrics inside out?
