I’ve had my e-208 GT Premium just over a month, driving from Norfolk to Bristol on a weekly basis. On a full charge it starts at 216. The range displayed does seem accurate at all. I’m very happy with the car, I do have to stop and charge once on this trip then charge it during the week as I travel from hotel to work. I believe the battery performance is effected by other factors not just driving like temperature (outside).

Great video. Glad to see that you’re able to commute with it.

Thanks for the video. I do have a couple of questions as I have the same car but not getting this much range as you. 1. What mode did you use on the Reading-London to fro journey. Normal/Sport/Eco ? 2. Which gear did you use. D or B ? 3. Are there any other setting I need to use to get the most range of of the car ? 4. What app was that on your phone ? Thanks

hi I used normal mode for the commute with D on motorway and B in London I use the cruise control at 65mph while on motorway, the app is called mypeugeot

@@MrHonestEV I have the e208 GT premium. When the weather was colder, I was getting 3.6 miles per kWh average easily in eco mode over my commute between Wigan and Preston. Now the weather has warmed up, I am averaging 4.1 miles per kWh without too much difficulty. I have the drive mode set to eco, and like you, I use D mode on the motorway and B mode off the motorway. I also use the adaptive cruise control set to 65 which helps a lot with power consumption on the motorway

Thinking of going ONTO and subscribing an e-208. From these figures my Cardiff - Bristol commute should be easy and perhaps go crazy and set cruise at 70+ ??

Thanks for post. I have ordered the Corsa e, same car with different cosmetics and badge. I'm glad you managed 3.6 m/kw. I take it 4 m/kw might be possible in warmer conditions.

      Yep now it's warmed up I'm in a e2008 and getting 4.1

While would rather have a Corsa E over this, lot of car for your needs. Maybe try a VW e-Up as comparison but to do your commute it might be done in Eco+ as range 162 miles and the air con won't work to save on efficiency. Tesla didn't impress you but that would be great as a commuter lease car for around a third of what Onto want.

Yes and no once you add in the vostok of charging and insurance etc there isn't any real diff in pricing and I also get the flexibility

Eco mode makes very little difference to overall range on a longer journey. The difference you are seeing in economy between the multiple short local journeys and the longer journeys is purely to do with cabin heating from cold multiple times on the short journeys. And the chances are if the climate control settings are set correctly you could have achieved a lot better on the short local journeys, as well as on the long journey. The car has both a resistive heater and a heat pump, and if set incorrectly will use the resistive heater way too much. Also, this is an old spec car (pre June 2021) if it doesn't show SoC in the trip computer instantaneous readings, so the chances are with it being an Onto car it hasn't had any of the BMS and traction software updates from June 2021 as the car was manufactured before that. They improve matters even further. I suggest anyone who can't get better than 3.5m/kWh in an e208 on a longer journey in winter looks at this info as they are likely wasting lots of energy with incorrect climate control settings (basically using it as a manual heater) and also checks with their local dealership if there are any software update campaigns for their vehicle. facebook.com/groups/Peugote208ande2008/posts/993949491200384

@@MrHonestEV leave in Normal drive mode. Make sure the Climate Control is set to Auto with AC enabled, all vents open. Set the Fan Profile to Soft or Normal. Set the temperature to 20 or 21 degrees. Plenty of info in the FB link I posted. Do not adjust the fan speed manually or the airflow as that turns the Climate Control off and puts it in heater mode - air at a constant temperature and speed. It uses a lot more energy that way. Can make 0.5m/kWh difference or more.

Oh, and make sure the tyre pressures are correct - 2.5 bar on most models. Seem to be a lot about set to 2.1 bar - makes a difference.

Hey there so I’m really considering buying an e-208 for my commutes from Cambridge to Welwyn which would be about 90-95 miles a day there and back. My concern is being able to drive on the motorway and make it back on one charge in the winter because summer looks like the commute could be easily made. I just wanted some advice and as owners do you think it’s realistic
