  • Sharing my incompetent cervix story has been very therapeutic for me and if you would like to share your story or cerclage removal in the comments I would love to connect with you. My cerclage had to be removed under a spinal because it did not simply come out in the clinic.

    Although this condition is pretty rare, and I honestly don't know of anyone else other than me that has this condition (aside from the FB group and those of you on youtube), I feel comforted knowing that I am not alone in this.

    I went into labor and gave natural birth to my beautiful daughter Madison Rey Vasquez at 20 weeks on May 23rd, 2019. They placed her in my arms, she took one breathe and moved her arm towards me and passed away. It was the hardest and the most painful day of my life, physically, emotionally, and mentally. I still wake up each morning thinking she is still in my tummy, only to realize she is not. It's been the hardest days of my and my fiance's lives. But your video has given me some hope and made me feel less alone and empty inside. I suffer from an incompetent cervix as well. I just wanted to take the time to say I'm so very sorry for you loss and thank you for sharing your story and helping provide a ray of light for me in these darkest of times. You have helped me more than you will ever know. I know next pregnancy I will need a cerclage and I feel better about it now.

    Wow. I just discovered your video because I was looking up cerclage removal videos. I am currently 32 weeks pregnant with my daughter. I too have been diagnosed with having an incompetent cervix. I unfortunately was diagnosed after I had my son (February 26,2022) at 22 weeks. I struggled with so much guilt because I felt like it was my fault or something I did or didn't do. Not a day goes by that I don't talk to Kayden or tell him I love him. I am so thankful for this lil stitch because it has made it possible for me to have another chance at motherhood. My Dr found out that I had short cervix when I was a little bit under 17 weeks pregnant they scheduled me an appt with a high risk Dr to see what they should do about it. They didn't end up giving me the surgery because i guess the sac or whatever was already hour glassing to low in my cervix and they said there was a chance they can rupture it during the surgery. I ended up having my baby girl at 22 weeks, unfortunately the NICU here doesn't like to help infants unless they are 24 weeks. We got to spend almost 2 hours with her before the Lord called her home😔. That was last year on January 22, 2018. I am now currently pregnant with my baby boy and have my scheduled appt to get my cerclage removed on October 15th I'm so excited and nervous, I would be exactly 36 weeks when they remove it.

    Got my cerclage removed today without any pain medication. I am from India. Before I went in was pretty nervous after watching few videos and posts online. My experience: It was very uncomfortable when they are trying to open you to find the cerclage and snip it. I had a mcdonald knot. But not painful at all. It was over in less than 10 minutes, am 37 weeks i had it placed at 16 weeks when my cervix length shortened to 2.5 cms. It was no where bad as I imagined it would be. Post removal there was no bleeding. I am happily walking like nothing happend. NST results look great.

    On March 10th I went to the ER for a lot of vaginal discharge, they only tested me for infection, they had me swab myself and it came back negative. I was sent home with no exam done. 2 days later I’m back at a different ER because I felt something in me; it was my cell membrane, and it ruptured. I was going into labor at 20 weeks, and six hours later I delivered my son, Thomas. He didn’t make it it was just too early. I was informed the cause was an incomplete cervix and if I had an exam that day at the hospital it would have been seen and I could have gotten the cerclage. I’m trying to go back to normal life but it’s so hard. My next pregnancy I’ll need to cerclage but I am so scared to get pregnant again after all of this.

      @joactive  Před 8 lety +7

      I did sit up and I did move around the house. I just did not carry things, go on long walking, trips, and made sure to rest. I did sit at my desk for like an hour a day to work and then i would lay and relax either in my bed or my recliner. I did not go down too many stairs so my husband would do my laundry but then i folded it and put it away. from weeks 21-26 I was so nervous I barely moved but when I got to 32 weeks I started to do a bit more around the house and my body responded well to that so i would do things like the dishes or cook. Once i hit 34 weeks i got even more adventurous and organized parts of the nursery and things. But after my cerclage was placed I did not want to move i was so scared

    Hi I'm also 28 weeks pregnant with my third. This is my third time getting the cerclage done, my first child was torture she put so much pain on my body. My second child wasn't as bad I didn't have many complications with her. Now with this pregnancy I've been sick, I've been diagnose with gestational diabetes, and now I'm having so much pain I can barely walk. Did you have vaginal pain with your cerclage ?

      I did a little bit! It felt more like pressure and uncomfortable! You give me so much hope Lucha I am so scared to have another baby but I know I want more kids. Were you on bed rest with all of your pregnancies?

    I didn't have my Natural birth because they didn't take my stitch out all the way which they thought they did. I was told I severe Scar tissue. 11 months after my sons birth I went to my doctors uncomfortable there and they found the rest of cerclage.

    You had a spinal during the removal of a mcdonald cerlcage? That is kind of odd. I didn't get that luxury. I have an incompetent cervix and I had my cerclage removed in the doctor's office. No pain medicine or anything. And it hurt like hell. /:

      yes she tried to remove it without a spinal but she didn't want to torture me so she decided to do it with a spinal

    After cervix stitched, Can normal delivery is possible?

    • @akbelb8165
      @akbelb8165 Před 2 měsíci

      Yes! I delivered naturally twice after having a cerclage in pregnancy. The contractions though for me were unbareable compared to my first 2 births. The gyno said it can be scar tissue from the cerclage that causes more pain when contracting

    I am currently 21 weeks pregnant and just found out my cervix is 1 cm dilated they prescribed progesterone to insert vaginally. They couldn't put the circlage because I've been bleeding on and off. IM hoping the progesterone helps and I get to stay pregnant til the time comes to give birth

      I lost my baby at 20 weeks because I didn’t know I had an incompetent cervix. It’s hard. I really hope everything worked out. I currently 34 weeks pregnant with my second baby with a cerclage. I really do hope everything turned out great! Hugs

    Did anyone feel discomfort with the cerclage? And at what week did it start?
    I feel discomfort and tightening at the area of the cerclage when I sit for a long time (I work).

    • @joactive
      @joactive  Před 6 lety +1

      I did feel some. As the baby gets bigger and my son always was low I felt more pressure on my cervix which is why I got it removed at 35 weeks when most wait until 37 or longer. Mine was so uncomfortable. I didn't sit much but in the car sometimes I did feel that tightening or discomfort but that is normal because when we sit the blood flow in that area is greater.

    @canadiancoder Před 2 lety +1

    Rule 1 if you do lot of physical activity and travel then may be it will hurt you in removing process.otherwise it will be just like soneone just cut one hair of you so what is the logic of pain.its a thread just cut tadaaaaaa😅😊
